it is prohibited to swim in most places in the Taiwanese coast. Most of the activities shown in this video are either not legal or under heavy restrictions, so they cant be performed freely. Therefore I consider this video very deceiving.

      Hello Andreas,
We greatly appreciate your feedback on the video.
The locations depicted in this video-such as the Honeymoon Bay in Yilan (surfing scene), whale-watching in Yilan, Kenting Beach (snorkeling), Green Island (snorkeling), Xiuguluang River (rafting) and Dapeng Bay (canoeing) are open to the public for water-based leisure activities.
As you have noted, the video also features a number of water areas that are not open to public access-such areas are shot from a birds-eye-view perspective for promotional purposes only, without the actual depiction of water activities.
For more information on water activities on the eastern coast, please visit: www.eastcoast-nsa.gov.tw/en-us/Travel/Sports
We hope this addresses your concerns, and we always welcome your feedback. Please direct all future inquiries to taiwan@myriadmarketing.com , we will be sure to respond to you in a timely manner.
      Thank you!
