- Here we go guys 1 week of bun hairstyles! This hair tutorial covers 7 easy hair styles for every day of the week!
Btw I'm just playing around with a new backdrop, it's not permanent :)
I know for many of you it's so much easier to wear your hair up. Or, maybe your work makes you keep your hair in an updo. Hopefully this hairstyle how to gives you some inspiration! Obviously, I had to throw some braids in there. What would a Kayley Melissa video be without some braided hairstyles. These are all quick and fast enough for school (back to school coming up!), office, or just a lazy day. Hope you enjoy!

An "inside out french braid" is called a Dutch braid

Actually, it's an "inverse French braid", or a "plait". A Dutch braid has four strands instead of three, and is manipulated differently than a three-strand braid.

@@NinjaOfTheKyeboard1 a "plait" is just a braid. you can call any braid a plait, I believe it is the more common term for people in the UK. a Dutch braid is essentially an "inside out" or "inverse" French braid. Kayley was probably just trying to explain it in a way that made sense to everyone. A braid with four strands is simply a four strand braid

I wish bobbpins could actually hold up my hair! They stay in for about 5 minutes. If I want a bun to stay up all day, I would need about 50 bobbypins and it would still feel like it's coming down any minute :(
Do you have a Sally's Beauty Supply near you? Their Bobby pins grip so well and stay in forever!

Also, I really love the style of this video. I don't know why but it has such a retro feel to it? Maybe it's the solid background color mixed with the braided hairstyles, but this video has such a 90s/early 2000s feel to it. It feels like a real throwback to the hairstyles in Lizzie McGuire and Clueless, and the hair tutorials in teen magazines.
