This post-2012 evolution of the classic Omega SMP Diver 300M was the richest by far when it launched at Baselworld. Advances including the blue gloss dial with applied indices, ceramic bezel insert, revised bezel ratchet, caliber 33300, and a bracelet sized with screws reveal how far this model family has advanced since its 1993 debut. The Diver 300M line remains the heart and soul of the Seamaster family to this day, and that's a testament to the basic design's enduring appeal over 25 years. Best, Tim
Got one blue with yellow. Fade pale colors, bezel hard to turn with no diver gloves, unreadable calendar, enamel painted hands and logo instead of chrome. Where my eyes were ?
Sith, I have owned this watch in black for close to two years. My wrist is about 7 1/2 inches and it wears large, but doesn’t look ridiculous. I usually wear it with casual clothes, but it could be used with more formal attire, except that it is too thick for a buttoned shirt sleeve. Unless you have a large sleeve opening, then it might work. I put the fitted rubber strap from the ETNZ titanium model on it and it looks much sportier/casual. It’s a lot of fun to wear.
Sith, Yes, 43.5mm is just about perfect for a Planet Ocean. My daily wearer is a Planet Ocean ceramic bezel 42mm with 8500 movement. It wears small for a 42mm, 43.5 would be better, especially for a 16mm tall watch. I would like to try the PO 45.5mm, but probably too big.

It is very thick. This needs to be compared to other 44mm divers rather than the original SMP. That watch - with its 2892-A2 base caliber and nearly flat bezel - boasts one of the most elegant dive watch profiles. Best, Tim

My favorite watch in my collection
Thanks for the lume shot additions to your reviews
Have the older wave dial version of this watch, which I must say I prefer the look of. Still I nice looking watch though.
Thanks for video! I’ve one in black and i love it!
Thank you for the review, quite thorough.

Has factory fault logo seamaster twisted on the dial.
Is it wearable at all? I mean, since you have it on your hands, Could you use it with a blazer or some informal attire?

I feel you... I bought a Planet Ocean 43.5 mm, And it feels good to wear as well... It's size is kinda similar to this one

I have a 7 inch wrist, so the 45.5 mm one would be way too big and thick for me... But the 43.5 also feels like a smaller watch for me
Sith,
Excellent choice.
Nice watch

👏👏👏
Too thick. I much more prefer the standard SMPs that are about 11.5 thick.
