Thanks for the vid. Were just your average backyard bbq players, but always competitive. I build boards but have always just bought standard issue duck cloth bags to match the boards. Like $40-60 for a set of 8. But theyre always really thick full feeling bags and we shoot them off the back a lot.....lol Been wanting a fast/slow bag for years and finally pulled the trigger. But holy crap I could not believe the prices for only 4 bags. Wasn't going to, but got a set of Pro Snipers just to see what the hype was about. And the ONLY reason I spent that money was because i like the design on the Zero Lucks Given colab with Lucky/Dirty Bags and had a little extra $$ this month. That said, we REALLY like them! Whatever fill is in them feels great in the hand. The fast is fast, and the slow is just slow enough, but thinking something with a similar fast side, but a touch slower slow side would be perfect as our boards tend to play a bit fast. For the price, I'm looking at the Fire Vengance or Assault. I can get 8 bags for only $30 more shipped compared to $110 I paid for the 4 snipers. Do you think those vengeance or assault would be a good all-around bag for your average backyard players? And are they comparable in size and feel to the snipers?
I'm definitely looking for your kind of help here. I'm playing local competitive cornhole and I've been using Razor Knuckle bags rated a 5/9 on the site but apparently I throw too hard or with too much spin in order to drop blockers when I want and control where they stop. Some of these bag companies come and go quickly, I could see how the bags I have could be great in high humidity conditions but for Ohio weather they seem a bit too fast for me to play a dirty kind of game. Do you have any recommendations of what kind of slower bags I could check out ? I looked some up that you mentioned in this video but 2 years is a long time in the business world of bags I guess, Should I just go to the far end and find something like the Jekyll and Slyde or just go down the scale a couple notches to something with like a 3/7 rating ?
Great review guys or conversation, this is priceless information to myself because I’m still pretty new just over three months into it I wanna thank you guys for that, I just haven’t stopped drooling yet over all the bags are sitting in back of, I do see what you’re talking about as far as being addictive not just with the game playing but with the bag collecting I am began to get quite a collection going here, anyway guys please don’t stop doing these little talk abouts very helpful . Question I don’t see any buffalo bags up there I have purchased their fallout X, their dead head, and the nomad and they play really exceptional, they break in fast very whole friendly , Do you have any of their bags and if you do what do you think of them, thanks again guys. Never mind I just saw the ambush you had it so well hidden back there how do you like the ambush?
Thanks so much for watching! We actually LOVE buffalo bags! Dead heads were a go to for a long time and the fallout x is a GREAT bag for all conditions. I can’t speak for my dad but I think he likes the ambush!
That is awesome! Game changers get the job done! Look up frank modlin and daymon Dennis to get inspiration haha! Some of the best to ever do it! Thanks for the comment Mathew
Thanks for the comment Adam! We recommend a faster (but controllable) material. - Sure shot Loco - Fire Vengeance - sure fire - Buffalo dead heads - Buffalo Fallout X (Highly recommend) Hope this helps
I usually suggest carpet bag for beginners or house bags. Pro Advantage is a great inexpensive option. Fire Torch also inexpensive. Then you have a slow side that is great for beginners to keep on the boards and a not too fast side for those who want a little more speed. Good luck with the club!!!
I would love to know how or where I could go and try some of the different types of bags to see what feels good in my and and how they seem to react on the board before buying something that turns out to be something other than what I really want. Is there a way to do something like that? Being a beginner and never having played in a tournament except in the back yard I have no real idea.
JUST GO TO A LOCAL TOURNAMENT OR GAME PLAY AND USE OTHER PLAYERS BAGS. THATS THE BEST WAY. AS YOU USE OTHER PLAYERS BAGS JUST TAKE NOTE ON WHAT FEES RIGHT FOR YOU. A GREAT BAG WOULD BE SURE FIRES. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN
I did the same thing for the first couple of tournaments I didn’t bring any bags at all so they knew I was brand new at it and I got to throw a lot of different bags I know this is a little bit late you have already purchased I’m sure 40 bags like myself ha ha but if you’re still struggling I’d recommend showing up with no bags good luck to you throw hard
Both of us throw Vikings and they are great for rolling! I (Rob) also love the Kontraband Kombats. They have a little more bite on the slow side but they get super slinky on the fast side for getting through gaps!
Hey guys, Im a beginner player and , I've been throwing both a newer style stick and slick bag and a much fuller older 2 sided Pro corn hole bag which I seem to like a little better, can you recommend some bags that are a little fuller but yet hole friendly? Thanks for all you do, your videos are very informative and helpful, keep it going.
Hey Ralph! We recommend the sureshot loco for a bag that is a little fuller but still very hole friendly👊🏼 You could also look into reynolds pro X or fire embers! There are ton out there!
What is the best way to break in a carpet bag? I know playing a lot will break hem in but if I wanted to speed up the process what is the best method for carpet?
I'm looking for a bag that's super sticky on one side & fast on the other BUT not as fast as the game changer . Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
That is actually really tough. My top recommendation for a bag like that would be the Kontraband combat or the BG mercenary. BUT I think those are game changer/ viper fast side. I think the Fire Ember is a solid one as well. And probably cheaper/ more available
What do you recommend for someone starting out? I am finishing building my first set of boards, and there is a local tournament held weekly 2 minutes from my house. I entered this past week and caught the flop fever! I plan on practicing regularly and competing with the local pros each week to up my game. Side note, I’ve been scouring the UA-cam as I’m diving into this world. This is by FAR the best information I’ve found
Good job guys. I am an older man and started out with cornhole a few years. My first bags were 16.00 bags filled with corn. I have built my way up with several sets of bags and for the last year or so It has been game changers. Great bags but always looking for something new. I think you have helped. Thanks
Thank you so much for the support and the kind words!!! We are really trying to provide a different perspective than other cornhole podcasts! As for what we'd recommend, I usually suggest a carpet bag for beginners, so while they dial the throw in they aren't shooting a fast bag off the board! But a nice carpet bag and a good fast bag are both great to have! I suggest practicing with each one so you will be prepared for different situations at the blind draw! Thanks again for the support!!
@@theflopcornhole I've got a few for sale always looking for more! Thanks for the response. If you ever want 400 bucks or so hit me up! Keep up the good vids.

You should be able to find some used older ones on the Facebook groups. The prices have come down and they are definitely gettable for a nice price!
