All of the guys at my work are always complimenting each other on their fades. Now I understand how intricate it is and how well thought out the whole process is to appreciate it more.

I have a question, when i see other people cut their hair they make a line to start with and then cut from down to up so they can see the result and be ready for anything.. why don't you do it?

We have other tutorials where we actually do it that way but just from experience I like to set up all the guidelines first as it helps me keep my fade where I want it.

This is clear and helpful- so sharp!! I’ve been cutting my 8 kids’ hair for over a decade but need to sharpen my fade. This is what I needed!
Also I see I’m short a tool (shaver). I don’t think my fit & finish will be as sharp as yours but this will def help me improve. Thank you!!

As someone in cosmo school..: they teach us one time on a mannequin and it’s essentially more for how to hold clippers etc but not technique. You’re videos have really broken the process down for me and have given me confidence to practice these types of cuts! About to do this one on my son :)

I saw ur comment and I wanted to mention that we Always need to have God in our hearts, the truth in
life which is in the ORTHODOX christianity religion only. it is the
original and true form of christianity that Jesus taught us when he came to earth, and you can feel God
through the holy sacraments after baptism, repentance-confession and holy communion in the orthodox
christian church, something that completely changes your life and turns you into a happier person with
a meaningful life and also saves you by strengthening your bond with
God. I suggest you become an orthodox christian at an orthodox christian church near you, get baptised and receive the holy spirit and live a spiritual life (repentance- confession to the priest and holy communion). This is all God wants from us and through these sacraments we will be saved 💯 Spread the word and positivity
      and God Bless!

alot barbers do there fades this way. Me on the other hand i do mine completely different. i start off by doing the top of the hair with what ever number guard they want and ill do the whole head with that guard first. then once that's done ill a line up with out hitting it with the straight edge. so for instance ill do a #2 guard all around then the line up after that ill start one either side with a #1 guard going up half way amd do that to both sides and the back then ill throw on the #.5 (half guard) and lightly start to fade out all the sides. after im done with the guards ill just use the adjustments of the clippers to gradually tighten up the fade depending on how tight they want it. for me i like to go skin tight. so once i only able to go as tight as i can with the clippers i use a beard trimmer to make it SKIN tight. i might not be a licensed barber but ive been cutting hair for about 14 years now i do my own cutts and yes i do my own fades without even seeing the back of my head. but i do alot of freinds and freinds of freinds and family. i just cant afford barber school. and dont have the time for it now that i have kids but i plan on makeing a video of me cutting hair and how i do it. and how i cut my own. located in Massachusetts

This is the second time I cut my 4yr old sons hair. It's easier said than done. It's tough on a toddler but I'd rather jack up his hair now than in his later years.
You guys make this look like butter! Keep the vids coming, we appreciate them
Edit: my son's hair came out good tho!

This is one of the best and easiest tutorials I’ve seen to follow. Im about to move to a place that’s isolated and the only barbers near me aren’t really good. Appreciate your methodical approach.

Yeah it's hard to find good barbers especially in small towns if you live out in the country.

I live in Texas now but originally from the Northeast. The worst thing for me is finding a barber for my boys not knowing if they’re good or not. Their hair is exactly like the boy in the video so this is perfect for me.
