Just ordered mine WOOT WOOT, quick question when doing the upgrade should I change the cam follower. I know there was problems with the 2.0T's but is it a concern with the 3.0T?
Hi 034 team. I recently installed your Audi 3.0t supercharger fuel pump piston upgrade. Can you tell me what psi the pump should be running at now? I'm looking to run some logs to see if it's up to spec. Thanks. 2015 Audi S5
@ 10-4 current on 91 octane. Cause that’d all I can afford at the moment. In order to use other octane levels I have to upgrade correct? Also will you guys in the future be considering upgrading the S.C itself to help us squeeze out more power. Since the audience is bigger now then before.
Awesome that you guys came out with this. It’s such a great cost effective option for us rather than purchasing an entire pump for over $1000. Also I was just curious in comparison to the APR rebuild kit, they provide a new tension spring that’s a different specification, per their site. Why is it they do this and you’re able to reuse the oem spring? Thanks
Our HPFP Piston Upgrade is designed to work with the factory tension spring, making it a complete drop-in kit, without the need for any additional hardware.
After installing the locking collars onto the groove cut into the piston, and pushing the washer over the tapered ends, is any tapping required to lock it in place?
Will this upgraded hpfp prevent misfires that occur from E85 that is too high? I’ve seen B9 3.0t’s that have misfired only when pumping a full tank of E85 on your E85 files, trying to figure out how i could seamlessly pump a full tank of E without issues and without using an E content analyzer
A content analyzer is recommended especially if ethanol content levels in your area are known to be inconsistent. If you're experiencing misfires on our E85 files, please email tuning@034motorsport.com and our team can assist with a troubleshoot.
There isn’t a benefit on 93. The plus files requiring the HPFP upgrade applies to our E85 file only. However, the fuel pump upgrade can be ran on regular pump gas files and makes a great upgrade for Stage 3 applications in the future.
If I install this with just the normal stage 2 tune will it be dumping too much fuel (bad mpg, too rich, etc)? I want to install it ahead of time to prepare for stage 3. Thanks!
We offer a high pressure fuel pump upgrade for the MK6 R here: www.034motorsport.com/034motorsport-high-pressure-fuel-pump-piston-upgrade-kit-2-0t-fsi.html
Hey guys, this community will absolutely appreciate this R&D effort. Just to be clear for us that aren't that technical in these matters, the difference between yours and APR's (assuming the competitor) is that 034 made a piston upgrade to swap out, where as the comp made a full housing? In other words, an unnecessary unit?
Our pump is offered as a DIY solution, allowing our customers to save some money. APR is offering to essentially install their piston into an OE HPFP housing, or for you to ship them your HPFP housing for them to install it for you. Ultimately, they both flow the same. Our 034 HPFP upgrade is backed by out knowledge and testing - and is a cost effective option offering the necessary flow upgrade for tunes that require an upgraded HPFP.

It is not.

Hello! Please email our Hardware Team at techsupport@034motorsport.com and the team can provide an answer for you there. Thanks!
Fine! Just take my money.
I guess I’ll purchase it along with the lower pulley. Plus the inserts too haha
Okay. So I’m back n now I have purchase this. Do I need to retune my vehicle?
It’s already on the Stage 2 +
If you already have our 2+ E85 file, you will have to fill up with E85 and flash to the appropriate Stage 2+ file.

@@034MotorsportUncut very cool. Thanks fellas. 👍🏼

No, as long as everything is seated it locks in place under spring tension.
What does the stock hpfp max out at?
This might be a stupid question but if I upgrade this pump could I run the stock ecu file “ if I wanted to “ ?
Yes, you can run this on the stock ECU file.

Is there a need or benefit for this upgrade if I am running Stage 2 93 octane file? Is it only necessary when running the + or Stage 3 files?

The ECU will properly control fuel flow, so you should have no concerns running this pump on the normal stage 2 tune!
Hi, this hpfp upgrade works too on a vw mk6 golf R
