Once again queens of the B-side. They can do no wrong in writing and performing. I'm sure their understanding of rock music theory has a lot to do with their writing skills. But I feel those feelings of unsure as well. I am transported back to the golden age of rock and all the while hearing something completely new to me. Just the Maids doing Maid things.
BAND-MAID lives in my head rent free. It's as if they have always been there, I just didn't realize it until a few years ago when I "discovered" them. I don't know. BAND-MAID and I just seem to resonate on the same frequency. That little Jedi with a guitar Kanami can read my mind and knows exactly what I want to hear. God damn, I love this band!
As a 50 year old rock/hardrock/metal head who started listening to rock in 81. I totally concur. They are the epitome of everything my little heart has been yearning for 2 decades. Other bands like LoveBites, Nemophilia, BABYMETAL and others fill it out but they are the core.
All I know about Band-Maid is they speak to my soul and inner being! Loved them from first listen, and it's like I have been listening to them forever, even though I know that's not possible! I do know I will be listening to them forever!

What a surprise, another great song by the maids. That was a cool-ass guitar solo, and long, for Mincho. Loved it. And no you are not the only person that thinks that they are the masters of creating songs that you feel you already know. They are masters at songwriting - period. (or full stop you lot across the pond.) Mostly they are the masters of making me feel happy 🙂
It would appear that these Ladies have somehow tapped into a primal frequency that gives you an auditory dejavu experience. At the same time subsequent playthroughs provides you with a fresh layer of melody or rhythm or vocal intonation that makes you feel like you're listening to a new version of something familiar. I am bewitched and happy to remain trapped in their enchantment
I was going to write a comment but, instead, you'll find lots of great info coming from Band-Maid Maidiacs herein. Why? Because they recognize, for some reason, that it appears hard for B-M's marketing group to successfully promote a band of Japanese women dressed as maids who play and write mind-blowing, progressive hard rock music with heart, and perform it better than most bands in Western and Asian markets. So Maidiacs, Fans and Reactors, let's continue to help these talented, deserving, rockin', trend-setting Maids dominate the world! Thx champ!

B-side of Glory, no wonder I never heard it, I have so many Band-Maid CD's I've never even opened/listened to, for collecting purposes, I know I'm weird right? Akane's syncopation is so fun to watch, as a drummer, I watch her all the time isolated on their Prime website. Where did the video come from? The synchronized vocals were amazingly perfect, these girls are so tight.
Miku doesn’t get enough credit for her part in BM songs. Holding down the rhythm so Kanami can do her thing while supporting Saiki are not easy to accomplish. She also does both at the same time.
"Feels nostalgic without ever having heard it before." That's why I compare them to AC/DC. Other than playing rock music, that's the only way they are similar to AC/DC. The outro was NOT the coolest part of the song. The coolest part of the song was the song.
