  • The plaintiff claims the defendant ran over her purse with his truck, so she’s suing for the bag and everything that was inside. The defendant argues the plaintiff was foolish to put her purse on the ground in front of truck garages. The defendant feels bad, but he believes the plaintiff is at fault, not him.

      there is actually a law in some states that makes it a crime to not lock your vehicle doors before leaving it parked , in other words negligence is illegal and this plaintiff is guilty of being negligent with her valuables .

      This is a tough one, there is another one where a shopper goes into a store and drops his bracelet sues the store, and wins because there was a camera in the store and it caught another shopper picking up the bracelet.

    She works for a landscaping company doing work that surely involves getting dirty and yet she needs a $400 handbag, a hair straightener that she admitted she rarely uses, expensive perfume, expensive essential oils, mate, do flowers grow better because she touches them with her soft, perfumery hands.
    And who goes for a walk around their car or truck to make sure someone hasn't left a handbag under their wheels?
    One fact we didn't hear and that should have been brought up, was the bag on the drivers side or the passengers side?

    If he hadn't quit his job, he could have reported the issue to HR or the labor board for harrassment/hostile work environment and the fact her and the boss were in an inappropriate relationship contributed to the issue further. She's lucky he quit and thank goodness for his sake he left. The entitlement is crazy.

    The plaintiff was lying about everything and the judge verdict was correct. The look on the plaintiff's face was priceless at the end. You could literally see her go from astonishment to just losing all of the air within her body.😂 I'm so thankful that dad stepped in when appropriate and did not let this witch take advantage of his son. What an awesome family!❤

    She was definitely over reaching. Probably got that Kate Spade bag on sale. No way everything in that bag cost that much. Shouldn’t have put the bag on the ground. I would have never, or even left my purse unattended with all that alleged contents. 😂

    I think she’s not only ridiculous, I also think she’s a greedy liar! She probably added old broken phones, the purse was probably a knockoff and that’s why she didn’t bring it! Or it wasn’t at all a Kate Spade. I can’t stand opportunist! They make you uneasy to trust anyone! She is vile for all of this! Someone should have fined her for wasting the courts time!

    $1000 in essential oils???..... interesting case......I liked the verdict, and speculating about what was really going on, why someone would leave their purse on the ground. She said that she was working with the gas cans. So why not put your purse in the vehicle while you load it? And I don't think this was an intentional set up, because no one is going to sacrifice their purse to frame a co-worker. But I'm curious. Why would she put her purse on the ground? Anywhere? Ever?

      You would have to buy a lot of essential oils to be worth $1000, I buy essentials oils and at the most I’ve paid $30 a bottle…Why would she be carrying around $1000 worth of essential oils, maybe she sells them but even, she had hair straighter, 2 phones, sunglasses plus other stuff and putting a $400 purse on the ground.

      @@SavageJunky $4k isn't that much, things add up fast. The items she listed are partly things you use for years (iphones, hair tools, purse). People without great means can have nice things, for example they can splurge, pay for it with credit or receive gifts. Two iphones, a CHI hair straightener and a $400 bag is a big chunk of change right off the bat.
      I'm not saying she should win the case, I'm just saying that $4k isn't that crazy.

    Years ago when I was a teenager I cleaned a local Dr.s office. One day one of the providers was cleaning out her office and put a bunch of her very important files into a trash can to store them til she could move them to a new area. It wasn’t even an empty trash can. I guess I tossed them with the rest of the garbage that night. She was FURIOUS. She wanted me fired. Nothing came of it. No one was really sympathetic to her. The place was shady in general. I was hired as the only Janitor at age 12 and worked there until they moved in to a bigger building when I was 16.

    Leaving her handbag on the ground anywhere is weird to me, and even more so to drop it on the pavement in a parking lot where people are working on lawnmowers just seems beyond strange to me. Heck...I don't even want to put my $50 Jansport on the dirty ground where people walk, spit, and worse, let alone a designer purse!
    The boss was wrong, too, not telling the woman that she was out of line, as was anyone who told her it was a good idea not just to file a lawsuit, but that she should go on the show! 🤣🤣
