Its funny how taste and perception of what is high quality changes as you get older. I was intrested in creepypastas/ARGs since I was about 13 years old. Back then, I really thought that Happy Appy was a good creepypasta/ARG. Granted i had no clue there was sequels, but now that im 20 years old it really shows its flaws and cringe factor. Ben drowned has allways been my favourite ARG, but thats probably because im a massive Zelda fan in general. The newer ARGs such as Petscop, Crow64, Gemini home entertainment etc etc are awesome too. I just dont know what i was thinking back then holding Happy Appy of all things as this terrifying super high quality work when it really REALLY was not

I just found this channel yesterday night and been binging since. I like thst his personality stays even as I watch the videos get older and older (or him younger and younger).His first vid earned hima sub from me lol, his humor is on point
in my imagination, Alantutorial seems to be not only a person suffering from autism, but also from PTSD. if you notice, the blue chair represents something that Alan is afraid of, so much that he cries at the very sight (possibly someone like his father or mother was sitting in that chair, and probably it was abusing him because it was a weak target). Plus I think PTSD caused Alan's mad reaction at the end of the ARG, with him committing a killing and breaking out of his "prison".
Nah I think that it was implied somewhere that either Alans mom or dad committed suicide by hanging and the blue chair was the last thing he saw after finding his dead parent so that’s why it traumatizes him so much to interact with it.
as someone with autism i find that i can relate quite a lot to Alan. like his speaking patterns and whatnot are very similar to mine, as well as his emotional attachments to certain objects. i like Alan.

@Talentless Bear NES Godzilla was pretty much like that for me. Still though, the effort that went into the story and its screenshots is pretty phenomenal. Its a solid 7/10 in my book. Also: while Abandoned By Disney is a fun yet cheesy story, Room Zero is by far a great sequel that improves on the first story in a lot of areas.

In all fairness, the worst thing you can do (in my opinion) is to keep going back to the same project. I could think of a million and one good metaphors, but I'll give you a shit one instead... It's like trimming your beard. At first you think it's all neat and tidy and finished... and then upon closer inspection one side is _slightly wonky._ So you trim the side down a little bit and check again, and now you've taken _too much_ off. So, back to the other side to take a couple of mm's off. Too much, back to the other side... You'd be fine if you left it "finished" the first time, but now you've taken off so much it resembles a Hitler tash.

I wonder if Alan actually knows someone who has or actually himself has autism, because as someone with autism I see some extra things that sorta stand out to me about the Alantutorials thing that sorta fit with that whole autism thing. The focus on tutorials is kinda reminiscent of special interests or hyperfixation imo, it's just an oddly specific thing to keep doing the whole time. The payment of one dollar, plus the excitement, kinda reminds me of how a lotta people with autism are taken advantage of in the business world, and sometimes even paid less than they should be, often not even being told that they're being paid less and simply going with it, happy to be making any money at all when they could and SHOULD be given more than that. This goes for just about anyone with mental illness or disorders, really, and is something I'm actually very afraid of for myself in the future. The being thrown out of the house thing is also a very real issue for many with any sorts of disorders, especially those that mentally or physically cannot care for themselves and need someone to keep track of them. Instead of paying for getting them help, or perhaps not being able to afford it, some parents literally kick them outta the house, which is fucking gross imo. On another note, Where_is_everybody most likely just wanted to show of their own dog in that one video and I find that to be fucking adorable. That's a good pup right there Also to add to that one, I wonder if they work at one of the places, and maybe a friend works at another and let them go in after hours and stuff? Maybe they've been given permission to go in if maybe it's an art project? Some places even let people go in for a bit after hours for videos if they show the name of the place since that gives free exposure too.

This House Has People in It is one of my favourite ARGs of all time. It probably has some of the most content I've ever seen in an ARG, and goes insanely in depth. Some of the "hidden" footage are actually terrifying.
I always felt like the blue chair in Alantutorial is because his mother hung herself and she had kicked over the blue chair. Alan tried to save her by righting the chair, but it was too late.
11:40 the creator of Petscop actually came out and said the name Newmaker was the extent of the reference. The fact people thought it was the core of the story was a misstep on his part.
I have a soft spot for bendrowned, it happened during a time when I was constantly replaying Majora's Mask every week, I had a obsession with the game, I was also browsing /x/ at the time and I remember encountering the creepypasta thread before it blew up into an ARG. It's the only time I ever felt like I was an active part of an ARG
Hi there! I know this is really late and you probably won't read this, but I wanted to point this out. This was a really great video and enjoyed watching(or listening, I draw). You have a nice voice that I could keep up with and explained things well. I'm a little concerned about 54:20 as it spreads some misinformation about ASD, mental disorders, and mental illness. It's also just a little hurtful to hear as someone who has a few mental disorders. Autism/Neurodivergency isn't always a bad thing that needs to be "cured". Being Neurodivergent is a very broad spectrum of disorders that you're born with, some can seriously impact your daily life in a negative way, or just make socializing or doing a specific task harder. And mental illness is even more broad. Despite the struggles that come with them, that doesn't make all disorders bad or automatically make people with those disorders any less capable. Around 55:30 (or something like that) you say that because there is an Autism awareness month banner, he is probably autistic and that is the cause of his behavior. I'm not sure if that's confirmed so correct me if I'm wrong, but Autism *can* cause his behavior, but so can a lot of other disorders. Some of the things you say implied Autistic and mentally ill people act like children and can't function alone, when that isn't the case. The part that I think was the most misinformed/incorrect thing here was around 56:30, I'll just quote what you said instead of poorly rewording it, "The way he treats the blue chair is *sort of like how a mentally ill person reacts to someone having a stroke*. *They don't really know what to do, and they just sort of poke and prod at you while they're dying.*" As someone who suffers from multiple disorders, that wording and the way you treated mental illness can be harmful and is very misinformed. Not all people react the same way to things, not all mentally ill people react the same. Someone who is completely neurotypical and has no disorders can react the same way out of freezing up and not knowing what to do, it can happen to anyone. It is very plausible Alan has Autism or some other developmental disorder, but the way you treat autism and mental illness here continues to push a stigma around mental illness that implies/says people with Autism are children and can't be alone, Autism is bad and needs a "cure", all mental illnesses make you incapable of living a long healthy independent life, etc. You never directly say this and I'm sure you don't think that (at least I hope you don't) but it does spread misinformation which can lead to that way of thinking quickly Some of the most creative, open-minded, interesting people I know are all neurodivergent in some way. High functioning and low functioning don't exist, some symptoms are just worse than others in different ways. People with mental illness can live happy, healthy lives. They sometimes just need more care long-term, or more or special help while growing up such as therapy, medication, or just more time to do certain things in school. For me, I went undiagnosed because I wasn't your poster child with ADHD or Autism, I had the symptoms that nobody thinks of. ADHD is dumbed down to "Can't sit still" disorder, and Autism is dumbed down to being the stupid disorder, when in reality neither are true. But once I got a diagnosis, I and others close to me had the realization I just needed medication, a little more patience, therapy, and the knowledge that I'm just a little different. I'm sorry to get on the soapbox and preach a minor thing, but I really enjoyed this video and I hope next time you can be aware and maybe do some research on these things before you talk about them. I'm not mad, or disappointed, I'd just love to see your content improve from this. Because the director was a former student of his. All in all the movie isn't that bad and the director was a cool guy. Alright video but I do have a major complaint that I feel could work on. It seemed you just watched other content creators videos on subjects, and only one or two at that. Mainly it seemed you watched night mind and inside a mind given your descriptions on what they are theorised to represent. Like the very insensitive "Alantutorial reflects how mentally ill people react to heart attacks" theory which is just offensive to people with mental disabilities. So I recommend that you look into the content itself and actually form an opinion on what they could all mean and what each video and part of a video represents

he was incorrect about the SCP classing system, its not only based on containablility but also destruction or how dangerous it is, such as one of my favorite scps, aka GOD, he legit cannot be contained, but hes still safe class since he wouldn't do anything evil or malicious, theres also some classes he didnt mention like Thaumil aka a SCP that helps contain or eliminate other SCPs, and end of the world scenerio class, a class that can well... end the world
Poppy is awesome. She and Titanic Sinclair were creative partners as well as romantic partners, but in 2019 she announced that she had split with him because he was incredibly abusive and manipulative. She still does some stuff with the Poppy character, but is mostly just herself now. She’s making music now that she actually wants to make, which happens to be *really good* pop metal. a metaphor for all the scp containment classes is the box metaphor: if you can put it in a box and nothing happens, it is safe. if you can put it in a box and the box requires some upkeep, it is euclid (also all humanoid entities are automatically given the euclid class, there is no humanoid entity that is considered safe class.) if you can put it in a box and it will make many attempts to escape, then it is keter. three lesser known classes: declassified, an scp that has been explained to be natural with science, an example of this is uranium, it was an scp because some people found glowing rocks, but with further advances in science, everything about it was explained, this made it a declassified scp. if the scp can make the box or is the box, it is thaumiel. the there is no box that could contain the scp, theoretically or practically, it is appolion.

on ted the caver: ted is a real guy, and he was at the time a caver. his friend B (who i believe is actually called brad) was as well. all of the pictures included in the story were real, and from a real caving experience. but the story itself is fictional (simply based _on_ the actual caving experience during which those pictures were taken).

in my imagination, Alantutorial seems to be not only a person suffering from autism, but also from PTSD.
if you notice, the blue chair represents something that Alan is afraid of, so much that he cries at the very sight (possibly someone like his father or mother was sitting in that chair, and probably it was abusing him because it was a weak target). Plus I think PTSD caused Alan's mad reaction at the end of the ARG, with him committing a killing and breaking out of his "prison".
Nah I think that it was implied somewhere that either Alans mom or dad committed suicide by hanging and the blue chair was the last thing he saw after finding his dead parent so that’s why it traumatizes him so much to interact with it.

as someone with autism i find that i can relate quite a lot to Alan. like his speaking patterns and whatnot are very similar to mine, as well as his emotional attachments to certain objects. i like Alan.

@Talentless Bear NES Godzilla was pretty much like that for me. Still though, the effort that went into the story and its screenshots is pretty phenomenal. Its a solid 7/10 in my book.
Also: while Abandoned By Disney is a fun yet cheesy story, Room Zero is by far a great sequel that improves on the first story in a lot of areas.

I wonder if Alan actually knows someone who has or actually himself has autism, because as someone with autism I see some extra things that sorta stand out to me about the Alantutorials thing that sorta fit with that whole autism thing.
The focus on tutorials is kinda reminiscent of special interests or hyperfixation imo, it's just an oddly specific thing to keep doing the whole time.
The payment of one dollar, plus the excitement, kinda reminds me of how a lotta people with autism are taken advantage of in the business world, and sometimes even paid less than they should be, often not even being told that they're being paid less and simply going with it, happy to be making any money at all when they could and SHOULD be given more than that. This goes for just about anyone with mental illness or disorders, really, and is something I'm actually very afraid of for myself in the future.
The being thrown out of the house thing is also a very real issue for many with any sorts of disorders, especially those that mentally or physically cannot care for themselves and need someone to keep track of them. Instead of paying for getting them help, or perhaps not being able to afford it, some parents literally kick them outta the house, which is fucking gross imo.
On another note, Where_is_everybody most likely just wanted to show of their own dog in that one video and I find that to be fucking adorable. That's a good pup right there
Also to add to that one, I wonder if they work at one of the places, and maybe a friend works at another and let them go in after hours and stuff? Maybe they've been given permission to go in if maybe it's an art project? Some places even let people go in for a bit after hours for videos if they show the name of the place since that gives free exposure too.

This House Has People in It is one of my favourite ARGs of all time. It probably has some of the most content I've ever seen in an ARG, and goes insanely in depth. Some of the "hidden" footage are actually terrifying.

I always felt like the blue chair in Alantutorial is because his mother hung herself and she had kicked over the blue chair. Alan tried to save her by righting the chair, but it was too late.
11:40 the creator of Petscop actually came out and said the name Newmaker was the extent of the reference. The fact people thought it was the core of the story was a misstep on his part.

Hi there! I know this is really late and you probably won't read this, but I wanted to point this out.
This was a really great video and enjoyed watching(or listening, I draw). You have a nice voice that I could keep up with and explained things well.
I'm a little concerned about 54:20 as it spreads some misinformation about ASD, mental disorders, and mental illness. It's also just a little hurtful to hear as someone who has a few mental disorders. Autism/Neurodivergency isn't always a bad thing that needs to be "cured". Being Neurodivergent is a very broad spectrum of disorders that you're born with, some can seriously impact your daily life in a negative way, or just make socializing or doing a specific task harder. And mental illness is even more broad. Despite the struggles that come with them, that doesn't make all disorders bad or automatically make people with those disorders any less capable.
Around 55:30 (or something like that) you say that because there is an Autism awareness month banner, he is probably autistic and that is the cause of his behavior. I'm not sure if that's confirmed so correct me if I'm wrong, but Autism *can* cause his behavior, but so can a lot of other disorders. Some of the things you say implied Autistic and mentally ill people act like children and can't function alone, when that isn't the case.
The part that I think was the most misinformed/incorrect thing here was around 56:30, I'll just quote what you said instead of poorly rewording it, "The way he treats the blue chair is *sort of like how a mentally ill person reacts to someone having a stroke*. *They don't really know what to do, and they just sort of poke and prod at you while they're dying.*"
As someone who suffers from multiple disorders, that wording and the way you treated mental illness can be harmful and is very misinformed. Not all people react the same way to things, not all mentally ill people react the same. Someone who is completely neurotypical and has no disorders can react the same way out of freezing up and not knowing what to do, it can happen to anyone. It is very plausible Alan has Autism or some other developmental disorder, but the way you treat autism and mental illness here continues to push a stigma around mental illness that implies/says people with Autism are children and can't be alone, Autism is bad and needs a "cure", all mental illnesses make you incapable of living a long healthy independent life, etc. You never directly say this and I'm sure you don't think that (at least I hope you don't) but it does spread misinformation which can lead to that way of thinking quickly
Some of the most creative, open-minded, interesting people I know are all neurodivergent in some way. High functioning and low functioning don't exist, some symptoms are just worse than others in different ways. People with mental illness can live happy, healthy lives. They sometimes just need more care long-term, or more or special help while growing up such as therapy, medication, or just more time to do certain things in school. For me, I went undiagnosed because I wasn't your poster child with ADHD or Autism, I had the symptoms that nobody thinks of. ADHD is dumbed down to "Can't sit still" disorder, and Autism is dumbed down to being the stupid disorder, when in reality neither are true. But once I got a diagnosis, I and others close to me had the realization I just needed medication, a little more patience, therapy, and the knowledge that I'm just a little different.
I'm sorry to get on the soapbox and preach a minor thing, but I really enjoyed this video and I hope next time you can be aware and maybe do some research on these things before you talk about them. I'm not mad, or disappointed, I'd just love to see your content improve from this.

Alright video but I do have a major complaint that I feel could work on. It seemed you just watched other content creators videos on subjects, and only one or two at that. Mainly it seemed you watched night mind and inside a mind given your descriptions on what they are theorised to represent. Like the very insensitive "Alantutorial reflects how mentally ill people react to heart attacks" theory which is just offensive to people with mental disabilities. So I recommend that you look into the content itself and actually form an opinion on what they could all mean and what each video and part of a video represents

he was incorrect about the SCP classing system, its not only based on containablility but also destruction or how dangerous it is, such as one of my favorite scps, aka GOD, he legit cannot be contained, but hes still safe class since he wouldn't do anything evil or malicious, theres also some classes he didnt mention like Thaumil aka a SCP that helps contain or eliminate other SCPs, and end of the world scenerio class, a class that can well... end the world
Poppy is awesome. She and Titanic Sinclair were creative partners as well as romantic partners, but in 2019 she announced that she had split with him because he was incredibly abusive and manipulative. She still does some stuff with the Poppy character, but is mostly just herself now. She’s making music now that she actually wants to make, which happens to be *really good* pop metal. Her most recent album I Disagree is incredible.

if you can put it in a box and the box requires some upkeep, it is euclid (also all humanoid entities are automatically given the euclid class, there is no humanoid entity that is considered safe class.)

three lesser known classes:
declassified, an scp that has been explained to be natural with science, an example of this is uranium, it was an scp because some people found glowing rocks, but with further advances in science, everything about it was explained, this made it a declassified scp.

the there is no box that could contain the scp, theoretically or practically, it is appolion.
You could have at least made a mention of Mars Argo and how Poppy was the replacement/evolution of that project. Also, Titanic was literally the creator of all of it. This video just reminds me of how creative and awesome ARGs really are! Great work on this!

this house has people in it seems to be a pretty direct metaphor for how families cope around a family member's continual sinking towards rock-bottom, all the while high on the copium of "as long as we stay a family we'll be okay", until this family member sinks to rock-bottom and "disappear", which causes the other members to spural downwards as well

on ted the caver: ted is a real guy, and he was at the time a caver. his friend B (who i believe is actually called brad) was as well. all of the pictures included in the story were real, and from a real caving experience. but the story itself is fictional (simply based _on_ the actual caving experience during which those pictures were taken).
