Australia is really a hardworking country ,,,enjoying this deep in the heart of Africa
You Australian drivers are awesome. So many levels above my skills of 38 years. I salute you all 🫡
From a old retired lorry driver in England I have got to give it to you men,all the best.
Good to see you back Chris, the old girl sounds as sweet as it was 20 years ago. That air start gets em every time.
Tough place to work in,, need reliable vehicles in extreme conditions everything is big, trucks,, trains what an environment,, big respect from Northern Ireland ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
the soundtrack (drone) is most awesome!
Good to see you posting again
Great to see you back again! Australia has fascinated me for years, and you give some of the most ground level perspectives of it. Thank you!
Amazing those huge and long and heavy trucks in Australia. And the country is so vast. Thank you. I am from Austria.
Greetings from Latvia. I have heared all the jokes about cangaroos and dingos in Austria :D
Great to see the K100 is still going strong - love these videos. Lost count how many times I have watched '3 mins of V8 Cat'
Great video as allways and big plus for music choice!
Sallute from a European trucker.
U have a Big Big Big respect from this part of the world.
Great video mate, from the U.S.A. A very scenic tour of the outback. Many of the old time drivers miss the cab overs in the states.
you really do that country justice with that drone bud, well done. Its hard to conceptualise a 170km long straight piece of tarmac. Mind boggling.
That's a whole different league of trucking, amazing scenery.
that is a great drone shot of the 90 mile...........Im not going to forget that piece of road in a hurry. Great to see the old Cat is still thumping away!
Stunning shots. Vast doesn’t even begin to describe it!! CAT sounds great, airstarter is wild!
Thanks for the footage mate. I’m from America, but have ties to Australia. It’s interesting to see videos of the places people like Slim Dusty sang about. The Old Nullah Road, and Marble Bar and all the rest. Nice sounding CAT motor.
Love being able to call Australia home.
Best country in the world.
Mostly the reason why so many want to come here.
Take care of yourself out on the road.
Thanks for bringing us along for a day in the life of.
All the best.
Could listen to that sound all day
Otherwordly and fascinating. Truly cool trucks, too. Cheers from Canada.
Nice to see aussie trucks while learning about the industry in Australia, greetings from México ✌️
I've driven across America several times...now I have a true test drive the loop around Australia. Really enjoy that air start bud.
Nothing like the sound of 3408 Graham,
Love your videos, wish you had time to make more
There is not enough Australian Trucking content on youtube
Chris actually :)
@@gm16v149 Sorry Chris
Epic 👌🏼
Sat here at 2am 🇬🇧
Your wagons sounds so good compared to the shite that’s on our roads nowadays. Even v8’s sound like hair dryers
Good on ya Mate! Refreshing video of a truckers life Down Under! We were stationed at Exmouth for 2 years, on the NorthWestern Cape. Loved the country and the People!
I’ve been to that air base up there with a load of military stuff for the RAAF on one of those joint exercises. Was a few years ago now.
That sounds so awesome! Trying to drive one of these road trains, even just once, is on my bucket list!
super good video! and a best truck and engine in the world..moor of these!!!
that's an awesome aussie cabover, stay safe all you out there from a retired trucker in Miami, FL
Nice to have you back
You capture that outback world so well, congratulations
Love your videos
Great job
Keep on trucking.
That truck still sounds sweet
The 90 mile straight, you have to admire the early settlers and explorers who headed in that direction not knowing what lay beyond, water food resources etc.
absolutely brilliant video job , show's so much in such a short video
love your blue kenworth and that chunky 3408 whistling under it, year in year out
The mighty 3408 !!
Great video, nice to see you making videos again, and that the big CAT is still rolling.
Hello from the bananas USA
.. nothing but respect for my down under brothers..... love the way Aussies truck like nowhere else worldwide..... good luck and keep your powder dry....guns and Bibles Amen!
Thank you, a very interesting clip - I like the drone work. And the Kenworth looks and sounds as good as ever. I can't think of a 9 mile straight here in the UK, let alone 90!
great to see a video from you again, interesting to see how trucking works in AUS, you should make more videos, greetings from the Netherlands
Thank you Chris... Great to see you again
My videos are few and far between Patrick haha
thanks for sharing, i am trucker from Canada
Great to hear the V8 again. wonderfull truck
I have massive respect here in America for truck drivers, and most of their trucks are often around 37 metric tons gross, though we have those that go over regularly. But you guys pulling 70+ metric tons gross, for often WAY further than we do in America, you guys rock. Also, y'all have some down right gorgeous trucks too, and that CAT V8 sounds glorious. We don't have many of those in trucks, the two 3408 engines I have seen in person were mobile generator sets.
Kenworth here in Australia made 31 with 3408s. Some of our roadtrains gross over 220 tonnes on 4 trailers.
Well done. Great video buddy. Kiwi trucker. Love that V8 Cat. Sounds bloody awesome.
I can sit and watch these roadtrains all day long..
try and overtake them. :)
Great video. Thanks for posting.
Made me look up from my job working up a windmill when you drove past this morning.
Good to see the old girl still working.
Where was that mate? I stacked the trailers up at Charters Towers this morning.
30km west of Charters Towers
Saw you go past a few times running pipes to Townsville
Drone shots a big plus. Greetings from a retired trucker in New York.
I guess the scenery would be the exact opposite of NY haha
@@gm16v149 Not NYC! New York state is pretty big...over 600 miles from Long Island to Buffalo (Canada). 1000km! Mostly wooded. No Outback. haha
Fun fact: I set my gps to an Aussie accent, so whenever I’m in Washington state she tells me to take Western Australia 18 or whichever state highway number due to it being- WA 18 or WA…
I didn't know you could set it to a different accent, thats actually pretty neat.
Can it be set to different types of Aussie accent too? Bogun, City slicker, Country Bumpkin, Snooty, etc....
@@ascher40 just one, and I’m pretty sure it’s snooty.
G'day Chris, thanks for posting another great video. I drove a K100 for Bruce Jahnke back in the early 2000's for a while, doing refrigerated into Brisbane 6 days/nights a week. It had a six cylinder Cat fitted, I don't rightly recall what designation it was but we nicknamed it 'Chainsaw'. The turbo was so freakin' loud in that thing you could hardly hear the UHF, hence the nickname.
It's 40 where I am in Canada today,y'all can keep that kinda heat! We're used to-40 not +40 haha thanks for the videos
We saw on the news it got to 49° in BC, that would be mighty hot even for here.
Good to see you back mate ! Regards from Arizona !
Great video, I'm a big scania v8 fan but after hearing your truck I know the Cat v8 sounds much better. Good on yeah mate, drive safe.
Beautiful country, thanks for sharing!
Hey buddy, thank you for posting this awesome video. I love the outback and the wonderful scenery. 😀😀👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
I just love the KW Cabover and the sound and looks of it. Great video mate.
What I love about Australia (at least from what I have seen) is its trucking industry is basically old stuff with new kit really wish the American market was like that but it’s just form over function in the states
I loved the drone shot. 👍👍
That’s one sweet sound 3408.:)
Awesome drone shot at the end
What a great video. Thanks 😄👍👍👍
You aussies sure rule the roost for the world's coolest trucks actually spent a day at the Kenny museum in Alice Springs God I love Australia!!!
This channel is pure gold!
Awesome update Chris
Glad to see you're still at it! Great vid! Cheers
Wow, love your videos. Fantastic. Look forward to seeing more.
Good job, Great to see you back👍
Nice to see you still turning those wheels.
Nice video, really beautiful scenery you get to enjoy while at work ... Keep up the good work mate 🤠👍 greetings from Finland 🇫🇮
A great video again, thanks a lot
Some of those locomotives look the ones built down in Ft Worth Texas USA. Love the K100. She's a work horse.😉🥰🥰
Love the truck mate !!!
Good for you ! You picked one of thee best cabovers, ever made ! i used to have a 1974 K-100 style, just like your blue one. 350 cummins. with jake brake. Those cabs, are VERY WELL made !! Those grab handles, about 15 inches long, over the drivers' window. I put drink cans/bottles up on them, and was nearly always cold, or cool. Reach out, grab a drink !!! YOU have a good day,/week/month/ year, mate !!! from Alberta Canada
The older cabover KWs were built tougher there’s no doubt about that.
BEAUTIFUL STUFF
I though you were retired. Good to see youre still Rolling. God bless you and cheers from Colombia southamerica
Amazing video, never saw that Barker Trailers before.
Wow! That 90 mile straight is awesome!...Nice stretch to put up a couple coffee/food stands/repair shop!
Great video Chris when I ran canadaian B trains at 63.5 tonnes I thought I was full Aussie trains at 120 tonnes are a whole nother ball game
You should see the ore haulers up there in the North-West, they can go to over 200 tonnes with the mega-quads which are four full size trailers on quad axles, all on public roads. I’ll see if I can get a video of one next time I’m up there.
@@gm16v149 That would be MINT if you could capture a 200T lashup.
@Hello Michael how are you doing
Bloody brilliant.
I love WA outback.. nice video! andbeautiful Truck!
I drive here in the states. I still think it would be a kick to haul there in Oz. The vastness
I was coming over back in mid 80s, could find a job, didn't want to live there just wanted to have the experience of a lifetime, l would have loved it.
Love that KW. Great video, fascinating stuff we don't see here in the states.
Love these vids but about 50 years ago I worked for UPS pulling pups and hated it. Still would like to drive one of these.
That kenworth at 2:00 sounds amazing
Fantastic trucks 😎👍👍
Greetings from Hamburg!
Great video👍
Amazing!
Unfortunate lot's of Aussies don't get out to experience these parts of the country. Great video.
Apparently we are one of the most urbanised countries in the world, the vast amount of people live within 100 kms of the east coast. Before covid, most people would go on vacation overseas before seeing our own country. Probably because the distances are huge and everything is so expensive.
Love it🤘
I dont see any EV charging stations i guess the dream of no diesel powered trucks is truly a myth . love the cabover thanks for sharing
Always wanted to go to Perth. Grew up in Tamwroth NSW. And now in Adelaide. Will get there one day. Awesome rig too mate!
That truck looks and sound great. Thankfully that 90 mile straight has no hills to climb or descend. Must be tremendously hard to maintain concentration for mile after mile of nothingness. Stay safe.
the last real men on the planet
Very Nice vídeo and Nice big trucks
Best Country on the planet.
Wild! 👍
Australia is one of the countries on my bucket list; don't know if I'll ever make it there, but it's on the list. The problem is that I have to much of the USA and Canada left to explore as well!!!
Brother, I near just dropped my drink as I walked out of the servo in Augathella and could hear a v8 thumping up to the meatant hill! Then to see the old girl climb it without a drama or dropping a gear!💪🏼💪🏼
Was that today Friday 1st July?
@@gm16v149 yeah mate! Im sure as shit it was this truck, could hear it coming!
@@Chopper1392 I had two trailers doubled up towing a dolly. Around lunchtime I think it was.
@@gm16v149 yeah mate was around then, id just been rained out of my job out of town👍🏼 Blew me away to finally see the big girl
Listen to those Cats sing!
Awesome Rig and Awesome sounding v8!!! The rail renewals crew I work for is at BHP Yandi, I recognise the park bay at the front gate in the video. The sleepers you have are for the last upgrades of the MAC Railway Line which has been a 2 year project for the Renewals crew with periodic Shut-downs of reconditioning works, new sleepers, new ballast, new rail at times. Hopefully if I see/hear this beautiful sounding V8 I'll wave you down mate!!!
Keep that hammer down, keep on trucking, keep safe! Cheers.....
Where I took the video of the BHP train was about 80 kms south of Pt Hedland on Pippingarra Rd. Most of the sleepers went to Yandi, we had about 18 months work, all finished from out of the east. They’ve got the sleeper plant up an running at Pt Hedland apparently.
@@gm16v149 Roger!!! That's another up and coming Shut-down for Renewals. The Walla, Tabba, Gillam areas surrounding where you dropped off sleepers. Turner area heading south is where that big derailment happened of virtually the whole train was wrecked over 2 nearly 3 years ago!!! Was Quad hauling myself for Qube at the time but ended back on rail, it pays better!!! This coming swing in Whaleback with reconditioning works back to formation, building a new turnout with 2km of new sleepers and ballast. Always plenty of work going on!!!
Cheers for the chat, mate!!! Be safe out there!
Waltz of Cat5/bhp Rail Renewals out!!!
