yes ! that's exactly what Metallica fans always expected when they -we- first listened to a new album... the same uncompromising, adrenaline fueled, masterfully played sound ! :)
Metallica set the bar when it comes to metal. All those new bands that you hear worship these guys. Can you imagine hearing 100,000 people chanting "master!"?
The first part of the song is when you are seeking a fix. The second part (The change up) is when you got the fix and feeling good. The last part is when your coming off of it and you go crawling back for more.
So happy you are reacting to Metallica! This is my favorite band since I was 13. You should react to: * One * Fade To Black * Nothing else matters (most probably you've heard this one before) * Battery (from the Seattle 89 show) * Spit Out the Bone (most recent album) Hope you enjoy the 'tallica trip!
This is from the 80's, the best Thrash Metal to ever happen. Megadeth and Metallica led the way. The entire tone of the song is meant to represent the addict and his cravings. The mellow part in the middle is when he gets his fix and is content. The aggressive parts are about his cravings and need for his fix.
The songs about drug addiction with the drug being the master and the person the puppet. As for that chill part in the middle that's supposed to represent the high and when it picks up again they're coming off the high and wanting more
Love the reaction! And a little fun fact, the first solo in this song is a James Hetfield solo, that's why it's somewhat slower and more peaceful. Oh and you should definitely react to the All Nightmare Long video clip!
What is so epic about this song is that even though it is about the Master being drugs, you can relate to it with any toxic addiction eg...alcohol, sex, porn, food, bad relationships etc...
This isn't quite the start of Metal, but it is much earlier on. This is part of the "Thrash" or quickly paced and aggressive sound, for lack of better description.
Dude, just about everything from; Kill Em' All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, ...and Justice for All and the Black album is pristine Metal. Metal for the Thinking man (woman). Greatest band in the history of the universe-this one and any alternate. Enjoy.
Like many have said One is a must. Honestly after One there are so many other good songs to choose from. For the most epic Metallica songs stick to songs from Ride the lightning, Master of puppets, and Justice for all. If you liked Sandman the Black album is pretty good too.
@@4freebird69 I feel like Kill em All is their 4th best album. RTL through AJFA is just better. I mean Four Horsemen definitely belongs in that group of epic Metallica songs, but not the rest of the album. Its good no doubt and a great debut album, but their songs got significantly better and more interesting on RTL. KEA is like the Black Album, not in song structure but in song impact. Both Black album and KEA have a number of good songs but no great songs, outside of Four Horsemen. RTL through AJFA have many great songs.
Holy shit i was literally waiting for this one, i even commented on one of his vids saying he should do some Metallica reactions. I’m so glad he’s listened🤘🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’m so glad you reacted to this, thank you for doing so🤘🏽 I look forward to more Metallica reactions, they are honestly up there alongside some of the best metal bands in my option at least. If i could like a video more than once this video would be it lmao, i commented on one of your videos I’m pretty sure it was the how to get 1k subscribers or something like that i don’t remember but yea i left a list of Metallica songs to listen too, i hope you take the list into consideration. Keep up the great work man i (along with plenty more) enjoy the shit out of these videos🤘🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥
Before Nu-Metal and Grunge came up during the 90s Thrash Metal hit the scene with Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Sepultura, Exodus, etc. during the 80s. Thrash Metal was the antithesis to Glam Metal which was dominating MTV and radio play at the time. While Glam Metal faded away for the most part Thrash Metal bands just kept growing stronger through the years!
Seattle concert 1989 Master of Puppets ....that’ll give you a much better experience. Not many live shows can outdo recordings, Metallica is the exception. Enjoy.
Hey Kurtis, I hope you react to Metallica with Joey Jordison (ex drummer of Slipknot) Download 2004 This shit is dope because Joey made them perform so good.
You are reacting to the greatest band ever......🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘......they have at least 75-85 bangers.....you have to go down the deepest rabbit hole in the street called music....Metallica's.....🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
Thanks for very nice reaction video. I love to see people hearing Metallica pieces first time, and analyzing them too. Would be nice to hear more reactions for Metallica. Here are few recommendations from me: - One. Classic reaction song too. Also has good changes and transitions of different types of feelings, and tells very tragic story. - Creeping Death, especially the Live Moscow 1991 version. Excellent heavy song, and the concert is legendary with 1,6M people in the audience. Must to see. - Fade to Black. Another masterpiece, with both beautiful and heavy moments. Lyrics are something powerful too. - Unforgiven. Another one with different styles. And if you like to go deeper, there's also Unforfiven II and III, for whole trilogy.
This is what's known as thrash. It is what came to define metal. After the big 4, Ozzy, Kiss, Aerosmith,Black Sabbath all organically became Hard Rock. After the big 4 came every other incarnation of metal. Nu metal, Death Metal metal core are all an off shoot if you will of Thrash. The new wave of british heavy metal is actually called Hard Rock now. That is because of the big 4. The big 4 are Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax. The biggest of the 4 is Metallica. Also, Testament and Pantera are also big thrash bands you might want to check out. Thrash is a very important form of metal based on it's defining characteristics.
Metalica was considered speed metal when they started and moved to a more alternative style then back again in their career not just the song. Sand man is the more alternative sound in the middle. There are so many genres of rock you could do a new one every week and have stuff for years. I recommend, punk, ska, and power metal
dude u have to react to the live in Seattle 89 version if u wanna see real destruction.. these boys were the real deal back then, trust me. Try any song from that concert u literally can't pick a bad one.
You should react to Orion then if you think you know what Metallica sounds like cause you'll be sadly mistaken. Transitions is Metallica's style you'll see. Fade to Black should be next!

Wow! That's an awesome interpretation. I'm gonna be thinking of this every time I hear the song now.
@@KurtisB its not interpretation, its a perfect construction of this song. Best Metallica song.
@@KurtisB Talk about Formula!
The Unforgiven, Outlaw Torn, One, Fade to Black, Blackened.... Probably everything from Kill em All to Hardwired
Every single song they've ever put out 🤘
I wish I could hear this song for the first time again. It absolutely blew my mind. This is THE song the got me into metal
The most wonderful and powerful band ever....metallica simply the best....fucking genius
Check out "For Whom The Bell Tolls", "One" and "All Nightmare Long"
Welcome to good fucking Music.. Mettlica songs are all long 6min or more.. kings of metal !!
They recorded this so well that shit that was put out in 1986 still sounds modern. Master of Puppets is a fucking masterpiece hands down.
The meaning behind the song is very powerful along with lots of other metal songs.

nah
React em live. Metallica - Creeping death live in Moscow 1991 . 1.6 million people
The Master are the Drugs and the Puppets are the people, the slow part is when the user is high,in another world, old schools rick never die🤘
If you're getting into Metallica, I'd definitely suggest checking out Battery.
And make it live from Seattle! 👍
Damage inc
Battery is easily in my top 5 Metallica songs with Disposable Heroes. MoP, One, and Welcome Home (Sanitarium).
Jade you couldn't be more right about that. Battery is the song that got me into thrash in the first place. Good call friend.
The songs about drug addiction with the drug being the master and the person the puppet. As for that chill part in the middle that's supposed to represent the high and when it picks up again they're coming off the high and wanting more
YES FINALLY METALLICA!
Great reaction you get what we got 30+ years ago!
Love the reaction!
And a little fun fact, the first solo in this song is a James Hetfield solo, that's why it's somewhat slower and more peaceful.
Oh and you should definitely react to the All Nightmare Long video clip!
Fade to black by Metallica is a must. Keep the Metallica reactions!
Slipknot - Left behind is a must-hear🙏
So is my plague
I love left behind
He did the entire Iowa Album
Yes i love that song
Okay.. I'm hearing a "first" reaction to Metallica in 2020. Amazing. Unexpected
This song is actually from drugs point of view and how drugs can completely become your life and once you start doing them you become a slave of them.
I kinda got that vibe! And I noticed the drug references. I just didn't make the complete connection until after the video. 😂
@@KurtisB 😂😂😂😂😂love your reactions dude💜💜

dude... the whole song is an analogy.
I Dissapear.
Spit out the bone.
The day that never comes.
Good luck. 🤘🇮🇩
These are terrible reccomendations
Keep in mind they were 22-23 years of age when writing this masterpiece of an album
Geniuses😭
Now it's time for Sabbath preferably into the void

Thank you! 🙏🏻
Just imagine. Hearing this song for the first time.
Fade to black (studio version) , creeping death -live Moscow 1991
Metallica is amazing! I have watch them live 15 times ❤️👍
If you like the structure of Master of Puppets then check out Orion and Call of Ktulu
Also "shogun" by trivium. They basically copy and pasted the structure, but its a way different song.
@@movietimeateds69 yer

Ride the lightning, man! Just do it! Classic Metallica
Metallica - BATTERY
More Metallic please
Ride the Lightning and Motorbreath from Metallica 🤘🏼
Holy Roller by Spiritbox 🤘🏻

The Master of Puppets is the drug and the person is helpless as the drug is pulling his strings.
Fade to black and spit out the bone and broken and scarred and all NIGHTMARE long
Metallica the masters of metal 🤘🏻💁🏼♀️
Yeah I can't ever hear a sentence that ends with master and not say "masterrrrr masterrr"
Live version 1989 Seattle.
"Disposable Heroes" would be another good choice off this same album.
