These are arguably my favourite corals as well! I love those rainbow acan corals; I feel like I always have to be around them. Yes I am addicted to them!
Since alot of us buy frags i would like to see growth patterns and placement. I have some favias and not sure where to place them. Keep up the great work.
This is what I love about Fragbox. Genuinely here for us as reefers and customers. They're open and honest and invested in our satisfaction and they care about the corals too. Big fan of them and a repeat customer. I'd recommend them to anyone!
Love the videos! I’d like to see a video on invertebrates. Specifically the ones that wouldn’t be thought of as cleanup but more ornamental types that could be used as a focal for a smaller reef
Macro Algae for the display tank (My personal experience with Gracilaria Hayi and G.curtissae has been very rewarding, G.Hyi starts to brightly fluoresce a nice burnt orange with enough light, and G.Curtissae is great to fill in gaps or holes in your aquascape with color. They also add nutrient export as well as adding some motion to the tank, so if someone has a nano tank but doesn't want to add anemones or torches due to price or their sting, having a couple pieces of Gracilaria or the bigger single stem macros like mermaids fan or shaving brush is an option, and they are not nearly as sensitive to water parameters as coral are. And for bigger tanks, adding in caulerpa species like C.prolifera can add more motion to the tank while allowing for another home for your 'pod population to stay strong and feed picky eaters like dragonettes and some gobies)
How about a video of How to create the best flow without dead spots. I am local and would love those ultra/rainbow acans in my reef tank! Either way keep making awesome videos and happy reefing!
Dude, Excellent vide. 👍. I have been under feeding for years. I just drop a few pellets in a few mouths. I will try your method and assume the growth will be faster. 👍
Great videos, your corals look great! Video ideas: How to prepare and quarantine corals, other than dipping. If and how to quarantine inverts? More videos on care of different types of corals. Thanks guys!!
Great and educating videos !! You should do a video on why new comers should try reefing and why reefers should not give up the hobby when their tanks not doing the greatest!
Hi another great video I would like video on how to frag at home with simple tools . I liked the info on using bone cutter to cut acan . New to hobby love all your info :o)
I brought 7 head Acan 24 hours ago the middle ok but the fluffy outside not coming out. How long does it take for them to adjust to my tank. Great video. Please help kind regards
Do you have the AI prime settings for the tank you showed? I’ve been trying one preset for weeks and everything isn’t working for my acans and leathers
Do a video on common refer mistakes and preventative things you can do for your reef tank. Like what to look for in buying a tank or equipement or common mistakes in maintenance or pro tips.
What about a video on the different symbiotic relationships you can find in a reef tank? I'm also curious to see how you decide to put which corals where, in addition to matching colours and specific coral needs as you mentioned.
I haven't had any acans since 2012. Got divorced and had to move my 65 Gallon. Not the easiest LPS , but one of the prettiest for sure. I want a Frag 😁
I'd like to see a video focusing on coral names... basically like you've done here showing the different acan species, but expanding out to different categories... one on LPS, (then sps, etc.) Focusing on naming subspecies..
I would like to see a video on light settings for the day, from sunrise to sunset. How much of the color spectrum to add at a hourly throughout the day.
Hey March my bday is coming and I'm buying starter pack coral that is on sale right now in the fragbox website, it will be nice to have that giveaway with my order LOL.. only if its okay for a beginner like me. Nice video too
Hey March and fragbox friends, it would be great to see a video on PAR in the tank with different lights. Especially the stock light for the fluval evo (found one par map online), then the AI prime and maybe a third light and what regions some LPS and SPS might grow in. I found with acans everyone recommends low light or on the sand bed, but for the fluval evo this is too low a light level? In Dillon's tank you can see they are definitely getting higher light levels. Placement for flow would be another great video (find the descriptions in videos always so vague? It would be nice to have plastic streamers setup like a wind vain to capture the true flow and turbulence around some corals. Cheers
Sorry take back the last post lol watched it. Got 1 for you guys what to do if you need to move. Tear down the system and restart in another place. What's your best plan of action. Reason I'll be moving in July ;)
A video of the fragbox staffs favourite coral species at the store along with care requirements (a “fragbox staff favourites” frag pack would be cool too!)
How long do acans take to multiply I’ve have mine for like 4 months and nothing has changed they just look nice and fluffy so I know it’s not my parameters
1. do a video of an order coming threw u picking it out, boxing it up and then shipping it out 2. paly toxins from zoas/palys as its a big talk right now in the reefing community with the guy who died in Texas 3. cal, mag, alk dosing how to check, how often, and how much to use, also with programming a doser
Set up a mini soft complete tank with just a few polyps and let us watch the growth. And then start it over with another soft coral. I bet it fills up hella fast
So my buddy just got me a Asian Acan is looks just like that red one. He also bought me a Mayan Sun Favia. Do they have to be far apart? Is this acan the stinging ones you mentioned? If anyone know id appreciate it if you could answer.
I never have good luck with these Everyone I get retracts. I did catch my peppermint shrimp going after them picking so I don’t know if that is the problem or not.
Question, with your Mag levels so high what effect do you see on your systems with fish more than 2 or 3 inches? Higher Mag sometimes results in skinnier fish that poop more, but I’m not sure at what point this begins to happen.
i'm bought small colony of acans but they won't open they are retracted to the skeleton. my first pairt of acan of two heads died. can all acans can be place at the sand bed
I have an acan which looked amazing when I bought it. It got into a fight with a hammer coral and lost. Since then it's grown but won't fully inflate. Alk is 8.5. Calc is 440 and mag is 1400. Been at least 7 months and no change. It's grew about 6 new heads though. Getting about 120 par. Anyone have advice ?
How about a video on clownfish care? Fragbox sells many varieties of clowns and they are the most common fish in the hobby, an informative video on their care would be very helpful for new and experienced reefers alike!
obviously do a bachelor episode for my man DIgz! it would be interesting if you did a bizarre pest video since you mentioned that some corals are straight out of the ocean? any weird ones? I bought a hammer coral once and found hydroids in the live rock that actually ripped apart the hammer coral within in two days. could do a horror series with fans about how a pest destroyed their systems.
How about a Video featuring ICP testing, how it works, which one you sell( good for Canadian customers), the online analysis tools, and using it as a tool to figure out why certain corals in our tanks don't do well but others do.
These are arguably my favourite corals as well! I love those rainbow acan corals; I feel like I always have to be around them. Yes I am addicted to them!

"I'm running out of ideas" 9 years later... still can't stop talking... EVERY day! lol hahaha
This is what I love about Fragbox. Genuinely here for us as reefers and customers. They're open and honest and invested in our satisfaction and they care about the corals too. Big fan of them and a repeat customer. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Im glad you done a video that shows us better in the reefing hobby a better view about the acans corals
Love the videos! I’d like to see a video on invertebrates. Specifically the ones that wouldn’t be thought of as cleanup but more ornamental types that could be used as a focal for a smaller reef
