I just got a Maltese puppy(Piper) and she has slept all night since I got her and no accidents in her crate. This is the first time that has happened for me. She is a bundle of energy all day with a few naps. I love this breed.

OMG such a flood of memories of my late Maltise Bix . I rehomed him when he was 7 yrs an he was the love of my life for 13 yra . he lived to 21 Yrs . I fed him the highest nutrition food an added hemp protein powder an Collagen powder plus Diatomaceous Earth in his homemade meals. He was such a wonderful dog . We loved him beyond words. I cry inside everytime i think of him not being in my life anymore .. His teeth were a issue an he had separation Anxiety along with Anxiety in general .. I dont know if all Maltese have that issue since I was told he was possibly abused an had multiple homes before mine ..He was my best friend I ever had . His memory will forever be in my heart .. I had to put him down 6 months ago due to blindness an so many other issues that came on all at once .. Worst day of my Life ! I hope to get another one some day but I want to get past this terrible loss to be fair to the next one .. I pray the next one outlives me !! to painful of a loss for me !!!💔

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved Maltese. Losing our pets is beyond heartbreaking, and pet owners totally understand the grief. Unfortunately, only time will help the grieving process, so take your Maltese passing a day at a time. I know they are our family, and nothing can replace them, but when they are in doggie heaven, they are free from sickness and pain. Think warmly of your beloved Maltese memories, and overtime, you will feel better. Thanks for sharing, and your next Maltese is patiently waiting for his new forever home!

Bless, keep Bix in your heart and get another wee dog as soon as you feel it’s the right time. Your heart has plenty more space for one more at least 💜

I’ve had two beautiful, sweet Maltese dogs. The first was a rescue dog that I adopted when he was 8 years old. He succumbed to Cushings Disease when he was 11. I’d nursed him back to health and beauty and was devastated when I lost him. I will always love him. My second Maltese came from a breeder as I was so heartbroken, and I had to have that love and affection again; the cute face & fluffy wagging tail & sweet “kisses”. I took very good care of him with Vet appointments every 6 months, or when needed, shots, great food & water, weekly bathing & grooming every month. He also succumbed to Cushings Disease at 11 years old. I know that most animals can contract Cushings, and humans can too. Not all Maltese, & not even a great percentage of Maltese get Cushings but my babies did. I love & miss them both so very much. I’d love to have a female Maltese… in fact, I’d love to have two females. I’m praying that I’ll find them someday soon🙏🥰💕💗

Ahh, thanks for sharing. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Both your Maltese passed away at 11 years old, and you nursed one back to health. That tells me you are a very devoted pet parent. Unfortunately, when we lose our pet, they can't be replaced, so their memory stays with us until the end. It's like they take a piece of our hearts with them. Over time, you will feel better, and your next Maltese will help along the way. Thanks for watching!

I have had three gorgeous Maltese in my lifetime. They are angels on earth. If you get one know they requiring a brush out daily and professional groom every 5-6 weeks. Best kept in “puppy cuts”. Start the brush out routine at 3-4 months and they will be wonderful with grooms all their lives.

I rescued a six month old maltese, she is 5.5 now and though she was 60% underweight when we got her she is a little bit fat now. Putting her on a diet today. Awesome little dog, always had tough little Jack Russells before but quickly fell in love with this little fluffy white lovebug.

My lady Maltese never eats a treat, she takes them and hides them. I was finding them everywhere so I quit giving them to her. She is very obedient and we love her .

I have 2 Malteses and 1 Morkie. My 2 Malteses are very different in every way. My eldest Maltese was a rescue from a puppymill and she was the most beautiful baby. Sbe would go with me to see my Mom every week and she became the star of the home.. Everyone loved her.. Then the pandemic and we brought in a new puppy. I didn't realize she was not going to be happy about it. Now with the other Maltese she is really not happy. She never attacks or hurts the others but she growls ant everyone for anything. I don't know what to do about it. ❤❤

I have a six month old male Maltese, he is so loveable and smart and also protective and we love him so much! We don't want to spoil him, but he just might be a little bit spoiled. He is going to be neutered tomorrow, I am feeling bad about having this done to him. Is this humane or am I just overreacting?

    • @animaldigest
      @animaldigest  2 роки тому +1

Ahh, most pet parents share the same emotions about the decision to neuter. You are making the right decision. A neutered dog is healthier, plus it protects them from certain cancers as well. My pup was asleep during the process. Be calm and thanks for sharing!

I broke my ankle and now need PT how do I leave my 6 month old malshi home along for 3 hrs? I live in the Moutains in a small town, no friends or anyone I'd trust to watch him. I have to drive an hr each way, pt is also an hr.
I tried leaving him for an hr and half today. He didn't do good at all. I kept him In the cool bathroom that's tiled, baby gated the doorway. Left him with his crate, toys, water, food, and anti-anxiety music for dogs.. I came back to a mess. Diareaha, tp all over, that was my fault for not removing it. He looked so stressed. I mopped and cleaned up the mess and then gave him a bath. I don't know what to do with him while I do pt. Would he do better in his crate in my car with the air-conditioning on? If I keep music on and the car running while I do pt. I'm also going to see if I can bring him in his crate to pt with me. But if not I'm out of ideas. And I need pt in order to walk normal again.

Sorry to hear about your ankle. Training is a big deal for dogs. When they are well trained, pet and owner coexist so much better. We don't give personal advice, but doggie daycare is an option. Where I live, many pet stores do babysitting. I hope all will be fine!

Ban Dalgom dogs. so cute. as with any dog ya can't spoil them. dogs are like kids...they need and want rules. having limits and rules will lessen anxiety. when your dog gets training if the owner hasn't been trained it can be counterproductive. consistency is key.

When u say their fur should be conditioned could u tell me the make. Our Maltese is 9 months old. She is fantastic. She scratches our leather chairs and drives me mad. Now if I tell her off she throws her head back and looks at me. She is so beautiful.. A bit scared of washing her but we rake her up go the vets about five mins from us. She gets trimmed, washed and have her eyes done which I'm terrified to do. Then she has a facial, bet the vet
enjoys her going BUt now 5 visits coming up she's such a lovely dog and I know he looks forward to seeing her.

Sorry to hear that your Maltese is biting. She is still a pup and training is probably the answer. However, I would suggest speaking with your vet or a dog trainer. With adequate training, your Maltese will mature into a sweet and loving pet. Just be patient.
