this film was about tyler falling in love with kate, and kate falling back in love with tornados. no kiss was a spielberg call, the cast mentioned it in one of their interviews. i missed the kiss but i like how open ended it left the film because it feels like the perfect ending to set up a sequel (i don’t think they will be broken up, i reckon the sequel will be more about their love story). love the ep guys
Nah if they kissed the movie would've been so cliche, I appreciate they went with something different

reminds me of Romeo Must Die. Aaliyah and Jet Li had great chemistry but never kiss on screen
I agree with this. Kates boyfriend’s death was so prevalent throughout the movie plus the tension with Javi. Kiss would have gone overkill, we know they end up together.

The scene at airport makes no sense cause Javi basically tells him to go get her because she’s into Tyler. You can tell they cut the kiss
Side note: the scene when Tyler magically shows up at her house had me absolutely dying in the theater with how OK she was that this random man just found her home
I’m pretty sure the film is in the same universe, but Bill and Jo are retired. Javi had said “This is field tested”in the flashback in the beginning, so Bill and Jo still exist, the first movie still happened, but it’s not the focus of the entire movie.
Loved this film! Great IMAX experience. I choose to believe Bill and Jo exist in this universe still. Just older and not in the field as much.

I’m so glad they didn’t kiss! Because it really would have pushed it to a cliche.
Like the music would swell and that’s just not this type of movie.

Twisters is a certified banger! Shocked that there are haters out there, guess some folks just don't want to have fun. Also, It might interest you that there is a interview where Lee Isaac Chung speaks on why he pushed to not have the character of Kate be related to anyone from the original film.

The original was better in every department, script, dialogue, characters, visual effects, sound. The two leads were credible, Phillip Seymour Hoffman was hilarious, Melissa was there for laughs, the aunt brought heart and soul and it was knowingly silly. The best scene in Twisters was the opener, in which the audience sees a bunch of people experiencing the full trauma of a tornado event. The rest of the movie was not knowingly anything, merely silly

The whole, will they won’t they between the leads was bait for the female audience imo. Held the film back for me, glad they chose to cut the kiss scene. Wet tshirt scene too …. I mean cmon 😂
I enjoyed Twisters yesterday. It could have been a little shorter. Maybe 1 or 2 fewer tornado event. But it's a good movie.

I’m normally on the same page with y’all and I was down bad for this movie but everything y’all loved about the movie I HATED. As someone from the south it felt like it was pandering to a wandering bachelorette party in cheap cowboy boots. Not the worst movie of the year but definitely not as good as y’all made it seem.
