Every single one of these guys are dropping straight hammers! 900s, 360 triple whips, nyquist being himself. That's just within the first few minutes. This shit was crazy.
Crazy the level the riding has got to that you can do multiple 1080’s and finish 12th
But the rest of the run wasn't that good, this isn't a best trick comp. And what do you mean multiple? Doing the same trick in different run doesn't affect the score, only best run counts.
Dhers has such a awesome style I always enjoy watching him ride!

I kinda feel like Brandon had the banger tricks but I dont know what the judges are looking for.
it's not always all about who does the craziest tricks, Brandon triped and cased couple of times where Rin was very smoth in his second run

Exactly. Its a shame that Simple Sessions 10 years ago had far better levels of riding than nowadays

allothernamesbutthis it’s a great course lay out - but bmx has become a ‘box jump, how many tailwhios can ya get’ scene.. it’s a shame. Some dudes smashed it, but the box jump kids struggled...
@@mynameisryan3412 it was like they were just riding laps on the outer edge, those that used the inner course and messed up got higher places.
I’ve said this before but man every time nyquist does a run it just feels odd knowing mirra has passed Rest In Peace to him, also put my respect out to one of my favorite home state street riders randy taylor both died of suicide to young
Amazing riding by everyone competing. Judges obviously weren't paying attention, terrible job at ranking the amazing riders
I feel like Boyd and Rim were placed way too high compared to other riders. Their runs were good but others edged them in my opinion
These guys are so nasty! I just started biking again after 9 years and I’m awful now. I put some videos up but it’s a struggle

nowadays its all bars and whips and occasional tucks and turndowns. I wish there was a bit more variety in the riding. Still, good riding just seems like a ton of whip and bar combos. Just my opinion.

That's just contest riding in general, my guy. A lot dudes will only throw what they feel safe with and consistent about; you also are riding to the judges as well, so if Van Homan is judging a comp, you best believe he'll want to see some gaps, and tech street shit.
I'm not saying that I disagree with you, but edits are where the real progression is, and out there at our parks and in the streets. It's always been that way.
So more barspins and flairs you make, the better champion you are? I see...

I have just never understood how nyquist even gets invited to these comps. Yeah he’s good, he’s a legend. But he does the same trick over and over and somehow people love it? you got dudes out here absolutely throwing down and he just does trucks constantly. Crazy.
Difficult tricks are still difficult, no matter how many times you've seen them. Nyquist is a legend of BMX and you should put some respect on his name.

I know rim is a really good rider but it was surprising to see his winning runs. He screwed up a couple of times and would rather deserve a 2nd or 3rd place. Loupos killed it with that cash roll and consistent fronties over the gap, almost flat, but he called off his 2nd run maybe judges disliked that.
It was one run counts, so waving off his second run made no difference. Rim’s run was jam packed with tricks.

Such a shame to see how much BMX has regressed nowadays. Apart from a few exceptions like Boyd Hilder, BMX is just either variations of bar/whip/spin combos, with the occasional tuck/turndown/table on a hip as filler. I really miss Simple Session highlights from 2012 or 2014 etc where you had people like Drew Bezanson doing origional tricks. Competitions just seem to be getting worse and worse every year if you want to see originality:/
Maybe watching contests isn't your thing then, if you're tired of barspins and tailwhips because that's most of it. But even in contests you see cool stuff like that front flip over that gap.

Drew did all the same tricks you see in nowadays simple session, he just did them way earlier than others.
