  • hey everyone thanks for checking out the new video. just a heads up, any comments involving any sort of rumor or speculation involving the past owner of this guitar will be deleted and may result in a block from my channel. i'm not here for that and anyone that is, can leave. lets keep it civil and enjoy a rad guitar.

    sometimes i sell gear at this link
    reverb.com/sho...
    Gear I use:
    Guitar: changes by the video. i use a lot of fender, and gibson. but feel free to ask specifics.
    Pickups: all of my guitars use different pickups depending on what suits them but i will say Bare Knuckle Pickups are my favorite and preferred brand. feel free to ask specifics
    Amps: Fractal AxeFX 2 for the guitar tone on my covers, lessons, and original music . i almost always use Soldano SLO100 presets but sometimes some Friedman, Orange and others sneak in.. i dont typically use real amps anymore. certainly not in my videos just for convenience.
    Strings: 9-46 are my main string gauge for fenders. i'll use 10-52 on Gibsons typically. i tend to flip flop between Ernie Ball and D'addario.
    Picks: i tend to use .88mm Tortex but i'll use .60mm for faster strumming songs or for Bass guitar.
    DAW: Reaper for all my recording software.

    This guitar's got such a "New Found Glory" sound to it, I'm not sure why but it just fits with that so well - which is hardly surprising, it was probably used in most of those recordings. This is probably my favourite project of yours so far.

    Your vids are so cool and unique. I don't find any other creator showing such a cool bunch of guitars with the simplicity and honesty you do. Kee it up!

    I'm all about the jazzmaster. I just don't like the electronics of jazzmasters so I put humbuckers and modern stuff on mine. It has a bit of a hipster reputation for some reason, I have always thought it looked pretty sleek though.

      i'm not making any promises what will happen for covers. i'll probably do a couple but ultimately, this isnt my guitar so it'll be shipped out soon after its finished.

    Have you ever played a Fender Jaguar, and if so whats your opinion on it ?

    • @littleredguitars2
      @littleredguitars2  5 років тому +1

      i'm not a big fan of short scale guitars. that being said i dont think i've tried a traditional jag. i've played some special editions with p90s and other set ups that were okay. just not for me.

      I've made a few from parts made by Warmoth. This ones from the fender custom shop

    I was the idiot that called this thing a Jaguar for years.

      To be fair, jags and jazz's have the same body shape so its an easy mistake. But this is the longer 25.5 inch scale length

  • @jhabx7635
    @jhabx7635 5 років тому

    Hey man! This is the exact style pickguard I need for my jazzmaster, so this is the one you can get from warmoth?

    • @littleredguitars2
      @littleredguitars2  5 років тому +1

      warmoths is a bit different actually. it'll work but it doesnt cover the sides of the bridge like the ones fender custom shop makes.

      littleredguitars2 gotcha thank you so much for the reply. Will it look silly? Or do you think it still looks solid? I’m guessing I could order this from fender custom shop?

    • @littleredguitars2
      @littleredguitars2  5 років тому

      it'll look fine but you may have some exposed pickguard holes. i dont know if fender will just make whatever pickguard you want. i'm having a friend cut a custom one by hand for me.
