I'm really ashamed when reactors get inappropriate comments from Angelina fans. She's the total opposite of that! She's the most kind, compassionate and generous person in the world. So happy that you gave her a second chance :) I can understand that in "I put a spell on you" you felt she was too stylized, not knowing the background of the song. Everything you'll hear from Angelina will be her natural voice which has many colours and nuances according to the song. If you listen to other songs she sang around the same age as she did that video, and earlier during her participation in Norway's Got Talent you'll understand she has a pure, natural gift. :) Hope to see you reacting to any of her videos again.
You seriously need to watch MORE of her videos... her voice is INCREDIBLE... she can do so much with it and I have NEVER heard her do anything unnatural to her voice.
Thank you for reacting to Angelina's first wonderful AGT Champions performance. And thank you for reacting to Angelina for the second time. I hope you will continue to react her. As i use to say: Angelina is unique, special and has the ability to touch our souls again and again. 😇
Every time I hear Angelina sing, I picture her stepping out of an old black & white movie, to bring us back in time, so we can fall in love with these genuine masterpieces again ❤️ 💚 💙 💜 Great reaction !!! She sounds like many beautiful old souls, in the body of a beautiful young girl.....a combination of, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Ellla Fitzgerald, Carmen McRae, & Amy Winehouse! Absolutely one of the rarest of talents 💟💟💟
thanks for giving her and us a second chance. this is a wild ride. I just heard her for the first time a month ago. Been listening to her every day since. I am 70 years old now and I can honestly say that I desire to live 30 plus more years and not a small amount of that motivation is to hear what this girl will do musically.
Woohoo! Thank goodness for second chances. Hope you give her many more reactions, she is well worth it !! Her finale performance on AGT is one of the best performances ever on AGT. Someone You Loved.
When she sang that song "I put spell on you", she was very young, I think she did very amazing for her age, but yes she has very much grown and improved. She's like a professional now, she's flawless, incredible.
I loved your reaction, very nice 👍🏻 one my favourite songs by Angelina is: "it s a man s world" she s singing that one live, outdoors with our full military orchestra. And she is 12 in that one.. love from Norway 🇳🇴
Watch “A Million Years Ago” and tell me how a 12 year old girl can sound like she’s lived an entire lifetime. She will bring you to tears with that song.
Angelina is the barefooted Queen of Soul with a Thousand Voices! She weaves musical tapestries in all colors of the rainbow with her beguiling voice! Her musical artistry is second to none and it not something that can be taught. Soul + Music in perfect harmony!
We listened to Angelina Jordan not because she is good or not is because she touch our hearts and brings us to another world of hope. We see her from young to now. That why we know her. We love her at good and bad times. Thank you for reacting to her.
anyone! She'll give you chills everytime...I love "I'll be there" (she was sick and they ask her not to perform, but she insisted, it was a charity concert) the feeling she delivered in this song is out of this world. You are free to compare it with the original version...
That's the Angelina voice that everyone wanted you to hear. "I Put A Spell On You" is an incredible work, but it does have a different sound than most of Angelina's stuff. ...but don't think that those are the only two. She makes stylistic changes with each song she does. She selects the style that fits what she is trying convey with the song. With both songs you have done now, she picked (IMO) the exact style that it needed. She does it every time, over and over. Song after song and style after style. You asked to pick her "best song". That is an impossible task for a fan of Angelina. I have narrowed my favorites down to about 100. It is hard to tell what is going to connect with you. Based on your reactions so far, I would recommend going to her cover channel and picking a title that stands out to you. Thee are only a couple dozen on that channel (all age 11-13) and they are all gold IMO.
Yeah. I always tell people to not listen to I Put A Spell On You first. It has a big wow factor to see a 9 years old doing such a delivery. It's almost a gimmick. But it automatically narrows them to think that this is what Angelina is. And they don't realize that she took the original version and interpreted it. They think that she took Nina Simone and made it wild. I Put A Spell On You is probably the 5th or the 10th Angelina song they should listen to.
Your question is probably unanswerable for two reasons. First, as others have noted, Angelina handles so many genres beautifully that your choice of her best song will depend on what you like. But, secondly, and actually more important, is that so many Angelina fans think they have a favorite until they hear the next one. She really is that good. She has so many things going for her. In Bohemian Rhapsody, you saw her understanding of music with her ability to arrange and deliver a classic in a way stuns an audience. She is also a great technical singer-someone who works hard at her craft and can handle riffs and runs as easy as breathing. And as you also noted, her voice is amazing. Smoky, soulful, with a little rasp in Bohemian Rhapsody, but pure and powerful when it wants to be. When she sings with minimal accompaniment, her voice is mesmerizing. And to top things off, she is the best interpreter of lyrics I’ve heard. I don’t have a favorite for the reasons above, but try “Stay”, a beautiful acoustic performance. And by all means listen to “I’m Still Holding Out for You” and ask yourself how a 10 year old can deliver lyrics and soul better than anyone you’ve heard in the past few decades.
Wish I can give you more than one thumbs up. AJ is shaking up music world. And uh Million Miles, isn't that her perfect first album the world needs in the year of C19?
Thanks for giving our Angelina another chance. The question you asked this time is what is her absolute best song. Well that depends. Do you want her best Jazz song? her best pop song? her best R&B song? Her best classical song? Her best Adele ballad? Her best country song? Her best original song? Do you want a cover of Sinatra, Elvis, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Queen, Miley Cirus, Patsy Cline, James Brown, Lana Del Rey, Norma Jones, Adele, Ella Fitzgerald? Here is a good sampling of my favorites of hers that cover a variety of genres and ranges. I have included a couple of her live rehearsal sessions which actually blow away other performers produced releases. "Feeling Good" - 10 years old - ua-cam.com/video/p8kAL-sGJx8/v-deo.html "This is a Man's World" - 12 years old - ua-cam.com/video/HEm7tGrjIKk/v-deo.html "Shield" - 12 years old - original song - ua-cam.com/video/lQtUbVKb0vs/v-deo.html "Fly me to the Moon" Appearance on The View TV show - 8 years old - ua-cam.com/video/nBGMQ9Kx9iI/v-deo.html "Fly me to the Moon" - Full Orchestra rehearsal - 12 years old - ua-cam.com/video/OMkwoqUNNkE/v-deo.html "Summer Time", NGT - 7 years old - ua-cam.com/video/443pBSpx5B4/v-deo.html "What is Life" - First original song - 12 years old - ua-cam.com/video/Bv0r77KN7RA/v-deo.html "Diamonds are Forever" - 11 years old - ua-cam.com/video/9RGZRg9YH3k/v-deo.html "A Song for A" - 12 years old (?) - Original composition by Nico Cartosio - ua-cam.com/video/Bo3mhxPM-uA/v-deo.html "I have nothing" - 13 years old (?) - Whitney Houston Tribute- ua-cam.com/video/eTcvvO6B3Io/v-deo.html "Wicked Game" - 13 years old - haunting rendition - ua-cam.com/video/5IAMF4FDfw4/v-deo.html "Dream a little dream of me" Studio Rehearsal - ua-cam.com/video/GmvfrvhY9z0/v-deo.html "Crazy" - 12 years old - ua-cam.com/video/gF183Y1OQlo/v-deo.html
Note that the "Full Orchestra rehearsal" for "Fly Me to the Moon" linked to above actually uses audio from the final live performance matched to video from the rehearsal (because there is no good video footage of the final performance, only audio - so the point was to provide something interesting to look at while listening to audio from the concert, not to accurately reflect what happened in the rehearsal). For the record, the audio from the rehearsal itself is heard here: ua-cam.com/video/KZ2KR1YMyOE/v-deo.html
It is her own single; it's out on all of the music services and you can find it on her UA-cam channel. FYI; most of her songs are her best song when you listen to them, then you listen to another and that's her best song, and it just keeps going. But, here is one that is rarely listened/reacted to, and it is only a back stage rehearsal of "When You Wish Upon a Star" before a Christmas show and there is background noise, but the last part of it will melt your cold cold heart. I would just add; if you want to jump to her "her absolute best" (frankly not possible; it is half her repertoire of 130 songs and counting), you would be missing the pure joy of this journey. You don't need to follow a purely chronological sequence, but you should start at the beginning with "Gloomy Sunday" from her debut on Norway's Got Talent at the age of 7. If your interested, I have a playlist I call the Best of the Best;, but there are treasures in the other playlists I have going there. Just click my link.
You should hear "GoodBye Yellow Brick Road" as well. She's phenomenal in what ever she sings. I love these two songs the best. I've never heard anyone better with so much control and range in her voice.
_Million Years Ago_ (Adele cover): ua-cam.com/video/QHLtZQ3sIwE/v-deo.html. no way a 12 yr old can deliver one of Adele's best originals better than Adele, but it happens. Here is proof. _Stay_ (Rihanna cover) ua-cam.com/video/_GSVPvCy3Yg/v-deo.html. I love this even more than Million Years Ago and that says a lot.
@@lilsun724 With you on Stay. Almost flawless. Another one that I have grown to love is Mr/Miss Lonely with the StabMusikKorps. Her vocal agility and control in both performances is quite remarkable. Let alone the intimacy and emotional heft she imparts. Angelina doesn't always get it right (can be downright awful sometimes if I am honest) but when she does get it right, she is simply peerless. I hate to say it, but I think she has overtaken Karen Carpenter as my all time favourite.
Some things to think about. Angelina’s first recorded at 18 months of age singing Whitney Houston microphone and all. Introduced to Jazz from infancy by her Grandmother. At age two scrolling through UA-cam looking for Jazz artists. At three she told her Mother she wanted to sing for Simon Cowell. At four you find her in a vintage record shop carrying a Frank Sinatra book looking through records and playing piano. At five you see her leading interviewer through her home showing her toys and clothes. Stops and says guitar not good. Picks up plastic toy guitar and starts singing Rolling In The Deep. At six you find her in sound booth singing “I Who Have Nothing “ at seven she steps on stage at Norway’s Got Talent and auditions singing Billie Holidays “Gloomy Sunday “. By now she is speaking Norwegian’ Persian and English. She is reading English playing piano, violin, and flute. Taking singing and music lessons. Her family never forced her she forced them. Her Mother states Angelina always chooses what music she is going to sing. Angelina stated that she has never been nervous and that when she sings she goes to a beautiful world. Also I want you to note that Angelina is probably the only eight year old person in the world that knew who Jay Hawkins was. She is the person who arranged the lyrics and music for this rendition you saw. At the beginning of the video you will see her writing notes, and you see her giving them to the director. They are instrumental changes. The director smiles. In a later interview he stated they were changes and that Angelina was very nice as she called them her wishes.
Angelina will show you a lot of Completely Different performances. You will not get a complete picture of Angelina from 1 or 2 or even 5 or 10 songs. She brings a unique perspective and interpretation to every song she sings. The rabbit hole is deep, but it is a trip worth taking. Her best song? That debate could go on for weeks. I don't even think I could pick a favorite. A gun to my head? Guess I'm a dead man.
The majority of Angelin's fans are very respectful so I am sorry if the comments after your previous reaction was negative. She has a true gift and I would encourage you to hang in there before making a decision one way or another. She is incredibly versatile so you really need to listen to at least a dozen or so of her videos to get a sense of her abilities. Her style and her music selection may not be everyone's choice and that is quite ok but even so you would have to admit that she is gifted with a voice that can touch your soul. I would like to add that she is incredibly hardworking and dedicated to her craft. Thank you for your comments and I hope you will enjoy more of Angelina's work.
I think you are asking an impossible question. I think that all of her songs are special, and all of them are at a level as being the best. It seems to me that the only thing that makes differences in opinions are the order in which the person watched the videos, or what they each ate in the morning, or something like that. That said, I'll leave my current favorites. It's the same as what I commented on the previous video of hers that I just watched, but I'd write it down. They are some. It's a man's world, A natural woman, Born to Die, and Stay, etc. They are all intensely captivating songs in different directions.
Thank you for giving Angelina Jordan a second chance - although I didn’t find your first reaction negative at all. It is probably just that her fans are used to first time reactors falling off their chairs during that performance. I love it myself, but completely got your point on it being stylized. It is! In fact, quite a few of her early performances are, which I simply think of as “learning your craft”. I see a guitar in the background of your video. If you are a good guitarist in the rock genre, you have probably played along with “Wish you were here” and “Yesterday” and learned the solo on “Hey Joe”, “While my guitar gently weeps” and “Comfortably numb” before trying to tap like Van Halen and failing to shred like Satriani - and finally, hopefully, finding your own sound. Well, Angelina Jordan is like that, more a musician than a singer. And somehow, incredibly, she didn’t begin where everyone else does, but with JAZZ. It is the equivalent of a novice guitarist starting off copying Jeff Beck, and somehow actually succeeding. Which of course has never ever happened. So at the age of 7-10, approximately, you’ll hear AJ singing in the style of various great vocalists mostly associated with jazz - but often creatively, as if Ella Fitzgerald decided to borrow repertoire from Billie Holiday or vice versa. Or as if James Brown came back as a ten year old girl. Or if Frank Sinatra did. Or, more plausibly, Amy Winehouse. It is often astonishing...for a child. But it hints at what the future will bring, when she starts using all of those tools she has mastered more creatively. Which is what you just witnessed with “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The arrangement is her own, by the way, and she’s still only 13 here! Around the age of 11 is where she often no longer sings covers, but starts improving on the originals, frequently from a tiny home studio. Among the examples are “Born to die” and “When I’m no longer young and beautiful” (Lana del Rey), “Stay” (Rihanna/Various), “A million years ago” (Adele). And then there is that brilliant live version of “It is a man’s world” (with a guitar solo to match, so not the big band version, although that is also very good). And her originals, of which I like the live performance of “Shield” the most. It is very hard to pick a favorite. But perhaps it is the extremely stripped down version of “Wicked game” (Chris Isaac) which is just Angelina Jordan (12 I believe, but others will know) in her own words “having fun” with the three chords on the keyboard and singing. It cuts right down to the emotional core of the song and lyrics. There is a well made fan video of it here: ua-cam.com/video/5IAMF4FDfw4/v-deo.html I look forward to more of your reactions! Keep them honest, that is so much more interesting. Angelina Jordan is a prodigy no doubt, but that doesn’t mean that all she does is going to be in everyone’s taste.
Hi Tommy. Welcome and Enjoy the AJ ride. She Has The ability to be a Musical Chameleon. Jazz is her comfort zone..yet her musical capabilities goes far beyond ANY youth I have ever heard before. Now 16years old.
I'm not quite over you saying our little Angelina sang in a stylized manner. (As if that is a bad thing) BUT You got me leaning your way when you used the 'feather' analogy. No one I've heard/read has used that to describe her voice. Well done sir, very inventive and insightful.
It's an experience of a lifetime listening to AJ. What an astounding voice - absolutely my fav female singer. Will you react to Born to Die? Fantastic cover ✌️💛
Great reaction, spot on.Hard to say what will knock your socks off,try I'm holding out for you,It's a Man's World,or Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, they're all great imho.
Nice reaction...Angelina is a child prodigy for sure and will be a future star (if not one already). If you were to follow her career to day, you would realize that her favorite genre is singing songs in a jazzy fashion...she's great. Now in a different matter, you should react to Pentatonix' version of Bohemian Rhapsody...keeping in mind that the entire song is voices only, with no auto tune, or enhancement of any kind...I'm looking forward to that (soon I hope) !!
"I Put a Spell..." and her Whitney tribute are outliers. Besides being a fun, creative experience, those songs only demonstrate what's possible. It's the magic in the middle that keeps us coming back.
Brilliant reaction, thanks so much for sharing! Her best song is her next song. Ive probably had 30 different favorites, it all depends on what musical mood you are in. Her musical taste is impecable, and she has dabbled with most genres, so if you dive deep into her archive of 130+ songs, I can promise that you will find your favorites :) Apart from her incredible tecnique, control and timing, her best attributes imo, is that she gets lost in the music and she tells you the story with conviction and buckets of emotion. And she always makes it look so effortless. On top of this, she has the biggest heart. Always performing with no shoes to remind herself and us of those less fortunate. If you havent heard about the no-shoes, there is a pre-show interview from AGT on YT where you get a glimpse of this sweet girl with the hundred voices :) See you in the next one!
Welcome to Angelina's world. - She won Norwegian talents at the age of 8, and is predicted to become the next superstar! She is also known for being able to adjust the voice to which genre she sings. She has approx. 130 covers on UA-cam + 3 originals. Angelina Jordan - Date of birth: January 10, 2006 (age 14 years), Born and raised in Oslo, Norway; this world-renowned singer has earned fantastic reviews for the amazing breadth, depth and maturity of her vocal talent that simply belies her young age. Something you might have noticed is that Angelina always performs barefoot!!! When Angelina was 6 years old, she met a homeless girl around her age when she was traveling in the Middle East. The girl did not have any shoes, and Angelina says her feet were scarred. Angelina gave the girl her own shoes. Angelina then “vowed never to appear on stage again wearing shoes until all the world’s children had them.” She keeps that promise to this day, as she says that little girl “is always in my heart.” - Angelina said she asked the little girl what her dream was, and the girl responded that she wanted to be a doctor. Angelina told her to “never give up.” In return, the girl told Angelina she would pray for her, and asked her to “remember me.” She might as well sing in a bad cellphone microphone, without a microphone, or to collaborate with professional musicians. She does not need any autotune or digital aids to sing. It is real song in an otherwise polished world. She just sings because it's her passion. Angelina’s videos have received over "over 600 Million views on youtube & over 2 Billion views on Facebook."
Amazingly, her passion for music began at just one-and- a-half years of age when Angelina first saw Whitney Houston on UA-cam performing I Will Always Love You. Whitney - and later Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington - became her first major musical influences.
At the age of seven, Angelina auditioned for Norway’s Got Talent performing Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday. She won the competition with the show drawing record TV audiences. Not surprisingly, throughout her rising career, Angelina has featured in prominent media outlets including TIME, CNN, BBC, and People while also performing on the U.S. network TV shows Little Big Shots and The View.
In 2016, Avicii chose Angelina for the vocals on his worldwide Volvo commercial campaign, a brilliant cover of Nina Simone’s Feeling Good. As well as singing before Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, charitable causes to which Angelina has given her talent include the Rainforest Alliance at the American Museum of Natural History in New York and Ein Herz für Kinder in Berlin where she helped raise over 21 Million Euros for children and families in need. Everyone in the music industry knows who she is, but the family and herself want her to grow up as normal as possible. Among other things, they said no to Disney!
This multi-talented singing prodigy has also written a successful, illustrated children’s book in her native Norway making Angelina the youngest published author in the country’s history. Today she is 14 years old and has over 126 covers and 3 originals on UA-cam. She has already managed to collaborate with the biggest in the music industry, and is considered to be a future megarstar. The family and herself want to take it easy in the musical development because of her young age. NOTE! Angelina is independent and owns the rights herself. Angelina Jordan INC. She and her family take it easy because of her young age. Angelina wants total ownership over her creativity, without compromise. She / family said no to Disney, among other things. She attends some major foundrising concerts. Rumor has it that she is coming up with her own album this year. Why didn't Angelina Jordan win AGT champions? It's because she refused to sign with them and they told her she wasn't gonna win if she didn't. Well. She didn't win. and how to determine the best talent of a singer, magician or dance group, but I think they were aware of this, but still wanted her to attend to bring as many viewers as possible. Then there was no way she could win. The entire acclaimed music industry knows who she is, and she was invited to sing for Quincy Jones during his 85th birthday at O2 Arena London ua-cam.com/video/OMkwoqUNNkE/v-deo.html . She has also collaborated with David Foster, Gene Simmons, Alan Walker. In addition to singing at the Nobel Prize concert 8 year old. This is just something from her résumé at 14 years old and the list is much longer. So it was really AGT that she was lucky that she showed up. But as I said, AGT is just a TV show and not a competition. Calling it a Talent Competition is too stupid. The only thing that was real is all the amazing talents we saw and heard. Note! She is also Norway's youngest author with published book 9 years old!
Rex Still peddling that false information about refusing to sign with AGT-Champions, I see. Why don't you just correct it instead of sabotaging your credibility?
@@103mrg What is false? Having to give up their ownership of their own performance performed with content to FREMANTLE. Why do you also think her video was deleted after 7 days with over 10 million views in a week. But if that is how you say I am wrong, then I think you can tell me the reason why you have the knowledge that is right and not me. Will then remove this immediately. Note: You are the only one who has responded to my comment. Why? But if you can come up with the facts that I'm wrong, I'll remove this immediately. After all, there is no intention of attributing incorrect information. But you probably tell me what is right then, and on what basis you are so sure of this, Hope for answers :-)
@@FlameCold258 The regular AGT, which is presently airing, offers a contract and million dollar prize money to the winner. AGT-Champions, which is made up of previous winners and those who have placed highly on different AGT franchises around the world, gives the winner $25k, but no contract. This is because these individuals for the most part already have some semblance of a career and are therefore signed elsewhere. What they get is "bragging rights". So winning, placing, or losing has nothing to do with signing a contract.
@@103mrg Thank you for your feedback. I know all that about prize money and contracts for AGT, and that for AGT Champion there are 25,000, and that most participants already have entered into a number of agreements before participating in Champion. But that's not what I'm aiming for. I believe FREMANTEL wants the rights to what is being performed during the show itself. For example, AJ released Bohemian Raphsody on her own brand shortly after. Angelina Jordan INC. This could not have happened if she did not retain her ownership of her performance above Fremantle. That's what I'm aiming for. And as a standout artist, was she deleted with her Golden Buzzer with 10,000,000 views on UA-cam in a week? Without thinking anything sarcastic, I wonder why you are so obsessed that I must be wrong. Do you have any background to indicate this? It is by no means meant to be rude, but I just ask. And I have also been told that in an independent poll, about 90% wanted her as the winner. But this I have no documentation on, so it is possible only rumors. NOTE! If this annoys you so much that I post this, I can easily avoid posting any more of this, anyway. I can spend my time on more important things than annoying you. Which I clearly must have done. Anyway have a great day, whoever you may be.
@@FlameCold258 Not annoyed at all and appreciate the concern. I believe it and you are genuine....I don't understand when you write: "that's not (and later:" that is....) what I'm aiming for."....To go back,, what I'm taking issue with is your statement that she didn't win because she refused to sign with them and they told her that if she didn't sign she wasn't going to win. That's in your first post. Then in your last post you write that you know most participants have already entered into agreements, which indicates you're aware they couldn't sign a contract even if they were offerred one. So which is it? Champions offers contracts, which she refused to sign? Or they don't offer contracts, one reason being that they're aware participants are already committed? You can't have it both ways. My research indicates there are no contracts from Champions and I'm calling you out for suggesting otherwise. Someone's got to stand up for what many consider to be the "evil empire". ;-)...Now, you then talk about Freemantle and rights, but once again you don't say what you're aiming for, so I can't respond. I know you haven't mentioned Sony,, which owns Queen's music catalogue and SYCO, and was purportedly behind the take down of that video, but I haven't verified that yet and don't know if that's what you're aiming for..... Being an old man, I have to close it down now. I'll look forward to continuing the exchange tomorrow if you're up for it. ...Just saw this comment from a reputable source and thought I'd add it in: rotorhead1942 1 hour ago Using the regular summer AGT show as an example, in 14 seasons, 7 winners were vocalists. 3 signed a contract and 4 did not. There is no requirement to sign a contract in order to win either AGT or AGT-The Champions. That's just Hollywood style gossip. Every way Angelina was supposedly wronged by AGT is easily proven false. Blame the 50 so-called Superfans, who vote on Champions in lieu of the public, for voting a rather medicocre dance group the winner.
As for "I put a spell on you" you weren't the only one who said that you didn't like it, thank you for revisiting her, she is so much more then just a singer, she actually touches so many of our emotions and I know you're not there yet, but if you keep listening and learning more about her background, you will see how beautiful her voice is. well if you like you can try " summertime" performance when she was 7 years old in 2014 or her 2016 performance both are beautiful. again Sorry you got attack as I said before AJ fans are not really that way most of us understand we have different preferences.
He asked for Angelina's "best" song in our opinion. The "absolute best". I laughed. I could imagine all of Angelina fans laugh, or say "impossible". This guy still have no idea what Angelina is. Angelina is not the singer, she is the song. Angelina is not a musician, she is the artist.
Thanks for your nice second reaction to Angelina. It's hard to react to an interpretation like this, you can only be impressed by the fact that Angelina at only 13 years old was able to face a challenge with such an iconic song as this and made her become her own song, with a fantastic reworking, a calm, powerful and terribly emotional interpretation and a great courage to take him to one of the most difficult audiences of the show. the best of Angelina ... is Angelina 🤗😆 For me she is perhaps the most multifaceted and talented singer there is at the moment, if you think she is just turned 14 years. Angelina is not only what you saw in this perfect performance, she is much more, even very different, but everything she does is at a superlative level, This is a small part of the about 130 different interpretations, including covers, songs written for her and her originals written between 11 and 12 years old, if they seem enough, or, if you prefer to continue from the end, you have the other 2 incredible rewritten songs of AGTC 2020 ❤️ “At Last” - Age 8 ua-cam.com/video/819bQ9I-T-g/v-deo.html “Every Time We Say Goodbye” - Age 10 ua-cam.com/video/KRSI8HmTHJA/v-deo.html “Feeling Good”- Age 10 ua-cam.com/video/p8kAL-sGJx8/v-deo.html “What Is Life” - Age 12 (original song) ua-cam.com/video/Bv0r77KN7RA/v-deo.html "It's A Man's World" - Age 12 ua-cam.com/video/HEm7tGrjIKk/v-deo.html “I Will Always Love You” - Age 11 ua-cam.com/video/eml4tIAqWUY/v-deo.html “Shield” - Age 12 (original song) ua-cam.com/video/lQtUbVKb0vs/v-deo.html “Valerie” - Age 12 ua-cam.com/video/sqmJLkgk2Ik/v-deo.html “Wicked Game” - Age 12 ua-cam.com/video/5IAMF4FDfw4/v-deo.html "Born To Die" - Age 12 ua-cam.com/video/DNU-HcLuO_I/v-deo.html&start_radio=1 “Stay” - Age 12 ua-cam.com/video/_GSVPvCy3Yg/v-deo.html “Song for A” - Age 13 (song written for her) ua-cam.com/video/Bo3mhxPM-uA/v-deo.html “When We Were Young” - Age 13 ua-cam.com/video/aHGSsqQOs5I/v-deo.html
Glad to see you come around. Her natural sound is whatever she wants it to be. If you mean her default sound, there isn't one. If you mean her favorite sound then she prefers blues/jazz. If you have a narrow preference set, then pick the 'sound' you like, and listen to her performances in that genre. Be aware that you will be missing out if you do :-)
Sorry you got bashed a little, true Angelina fans respect people and their opinions. Angelina's voice I would describe as sultry, sexy ( yes I said sexy), and velvety. My favorites are Lana Del Rey's "Born To Die" or Adele's "Million Years Ago" they both really show off her lower register and vibrato.
@@Ermine63 it's evident who the sicko is. @Nicole Jessica understood what I said. Her mind was not in the gutter and read what was written not what YOU interpret it to be! My mind is free and clear and I stand by what I said.
The enthusiatic elder woman at the end of her song is her grandmother who designed her dress and besides her grandmother her fairhaired mother and little sister
Finally, you get some of it. ❤ AJ is such a special jewel. The nice thing that you can actually do is to take the Journey. To see her development from the age of 7 when she went on Norways got talent and sung Billie Holidays Gloomy Sunday. The Journey consists of more than 130 songs on UA-cam. Some her own, but mostly covers with her way. Rusty has made a list of all her songs based on her age and when they were released. Regarding your question of which AJ song to pick I totally agree with Rustys comment. It is impossible to choose. It depends on the mood you are into yourself that specific day. AJ touches your feelings and emotions always with her singing. She has put a spell on me since I first heard her in 2014. That is also why I love "I put a spell on you" by her. That is what she does. Enjoy the journey, you will be totally mesmerized. This is a megastar in the making and we are there when it is happening😍🤩❤
This one was nice, she has a lovely voice. And it's not easy to pull off such an iconic song by one of the greatest singers the world has ever seen, but she did it, so well done to her! Looks like you have both redeemed yourselves today 😆 Loving the lighting by the way. Looks great!
Angelina has the ability to adapt to so many different styles of music. I think she has been doing that deliberately to build a set of skills that will allow her to basically take anything on. As for one song that showcases what she can do I recommend "It's a Man's World" (aged 12) ua-cam.com/video/HEm7tGrjIKk/v-deo.html Watch it to the end because the camer zooms back to show the full stage and Angelina's delightful modesty in the way she curtseys to the audience .
She's got something like 130 songs to pick from. Goosebumps! Now you're one of us. I'd try Born to Die, Million Years Ago, or Young and Beautiful. But then her Feeling Good at age 10 is a song I listen to several time a week, just to, well, feel good. Welcome to the amazing world of AJ. Your reaction is thoughtful, sensitive, and informed. Thanks.
A million miles her, own tribute to her grandfather passing, I’d rather go blind, she is diverse and does all covers and genres justice putting her unique character on a song without disrespect to the song or the artist
Had to go back and re-watch your first reaction to refresh my memory. I was quite surprised to see so many negative comments - that's not usually the case with an Angelina reaction. For the most part, even if you don't come out all gushing with praise, her fans are generally not that rabid about it. The general consensus is usually that one is entitled to their own opinion, along with a request that you try a few more of her songs before you give it a pass, but I guess you pushed a few buttons there that don't usually get pushed. Still, that's the internet for you. I'm glad you didn't let it stop you from giving her a second go-round. Now, with this second song, you are starting to get an idea of why we all are so passionate about her. I'm also extremely happy that you intend to listen and react to a few more of her songs. You won't regret it. I'm not going to bother listing any songs for you to react to, although now that I've said that, here comes one: This is her arrangement of an old Mama's and Papa's song, 'California Dreaming', changed to give it a completely different feel; a somewhat more sombre and darker version than the original. Instead of the upbeat and hopeful feel of that one, where Mama Cass is telling the story of how happy she is about the future, Angelina's version is more concentrated on what she's feeling in the present, and I swear you can almost feel the cold, dank rain seeping in under your upturned collar as she sings it. It's a remarkable rendition. I must admit I was a bit on the fence about it the first time I heard it (it's that different from the original), but with each listen I found myself liking it more and more, and now it's actually overtaken the original as my favorite version. Not the only time that's happened with her, if I'm honest. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/EBI7Km3z7-U/v-deo.html Just her and a guitar player (Ivan Mendez) sitting in her home studio in L.A.
I enjoy ur reaction u seem to be a real musical expert and I could see it in your reaction she has so many magical song u can go for so please do more of her big hug from gremany🙏🙏👍👍👍💙💙💙
Angelina Jordan IS The Barefoot Angel! There are at least 4 outstanding young female singers that you can choose and will have thousands, if not millions of rabid fans worldwide wanting more! They are all uniquely different than each other but all are super talented. Those 4 are in NO particular order, Angelina Jordan, Grace Vanderwaal, Diana Ankudinova and Jackie Evancho! Plus there many others. Pick any of them and you will be happy that you did!
Nice reaction! Now maybe you can react to all the other 125+ videos of Angelina! Yeah Angelina made that a single and you can hear it a lil bit different here and there and check it out on Spotify! I would really struggle to pick a "best" song from Angelina but if you want to know what kind of songs she might make in the future you could check out a live performance of her original "Sheild"!
I subscribed to your channel on your firsrt reaction to Angelina but did not comment at that time. Thank you for another reaction to Angelina. You mention that you wished to hear her singing in her "own" voice. She doesn't have only one "own" voice, she has many, depending upon the musical genre she is singing and how she interprets the song. One thing which should be understood is that Angelina has the innate ability to recognise the emotional content of a song and sing it in such a way that those emotions are communicate to the listener. In a short period of 6 years, since her first public appearance on Norway's Got talent in 2014, Angelina has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz,Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Lana del Ray, Gloria Gaynor, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others. What is more extraordinary is that she takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. She never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unlessthey are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. Although the gift of singing and all her performances appear to be effortless, Angelina works very hard to ensure that the one she is going to record reflects what she sees as the correct way to meld both lyrics and melody. If you go to ua-cam.com/channels/hM_lpT4shdnsez93QMJPig.html you will find many rehearsals where, not only do you get to see her rehearsing but being the "ordinary" girl she is (if indeed one is able to apply that adjective to her). Most of her performances are recorded in her home studio, either with a backing track or a single guitar. Most are done in one take. She treats the whole thing as a hobby. As we would have said when I was young. "There is no 'side' to her" She is completely transparent to the world. I have been following her career a long time and have listened to every interview she has given and every documentary about her and every performance she has ever given. What stands stands out for me is how a very shy and humble girl in her normal life, can be transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing, once she starts to sing. Perhaps you would like to go back a few years and work forward. By doing so, you will come to the realisation that she is "unique" and I don't use that word loosely. There is truly no other singer who has her versatility and sheer ability to communicate the emotions of a song to her listeners. I doubt there is another singer who works so hard to to ensure that, when she sings the song,it is sung in such a way that her listener becomes enmeshed in the emotions So, here a few recordings for you to consider. age 6 - First visit to a Recording Studio:I who have nothing: ua-cam.com/video/RjQZKBpVaes/v-deo.html age 7 - Norway's Got Talent - First Audition: Gloomy Sunday: ua-cam.com/video/8q7MqdFoibI/v-deo.html age 7 - Norway’s Got Talent - Judges' Cut-Off: I’m a fool to want you ua-cam.com/video/LXknLZDoRVQ/v-deo.html age 8 - Norway's Got Talent - Semi Final: Bang Bang: ua-cam.com/video/cSEO3IMVtCI/v-deo.html age 8 - Norway's Got Talent - Final: Summertime: ua-cam.com/video/443pBSpx5B4/v-deo.html age 8 - Concert in Sweden - "I'll be there":ua-cam.com/video/VJIwvWdoO3o/v-deo.html age 9 - Charity Concert: At last: ua-cam.com/video/819bQ9I-T-g/v-deo.html age 11- It’s Now or Never - ua-cam.com/video/hli1fuk8zQQ/v-deo.html age 10 - Norwegian TV Production: Every time we say goodbye: ua-cam.com/video/KRSI8HmTHJA/v-deo.html
Albert Tenfoot excellent choices. I who have nothing is probably her best early recording. Not her first in the school studio. Love “I’ll be there” in Sweden. Some were critical of this performance, but in all fairness she performed with a bad cold. But I find this performance one of her most emotional ones. And I recently discovered the Every Time We Say Goodbye. It is a great performance.
@@jeffreyjameson5510 I didn't find out until long after discovering and listening to "I'll be there" that Angelina had a heavy cold during the performance. Regardless of that knowledge, for me it is one of the most emotional performances she has given.
Wow sir you have lot more to see and hear from Angelina Jordan , please don't wait , just search your youtube . To me Angelina she is not a supper star or supper nova , she is the UNIVERS
The funny thing is, even though this is closer to her "natural" voice, she is still doing very specific things with it here that she doesn't typically do. (In fact, the breathy quality in her voice here made one vocal-coach first-time AJ reacter concerned that she had some kind of "condition" [swollen vocal chords, IIRC]. In their second reaction to her, they walked that back a bit.) Like I said in a comment on your "Spell" reaction, it's hard to come up with a song where she's "not doing anything" to change her voice, but it's very easy to come up with a list of a dozen videos where she's changing her voice in completely different ways. Her vocal versatility is one of her most beloved characteristics among fans, but it may well rub you the wrong way. (You might feel like she's not "being herself", or whatever.) I'm glad you feel like you heard "her voice" here, but I'm wondering whether that means you will be put off by the next video when she sounds like Amy Winehouse or Adele, or Lana Del Rey, or Whitney Houston, or… You asked for her "best song" that will "knock [your] socks off". Others have already pointed out that that's an impossible request, not least because it depends on what you like and what you don't. It's also a very "loaded" request that will elicit certain kinds of responses. (Keep in mind that "I Put a Spell on You" is almost universally acknowledged to be the go-to song for knocking socks off [or "blowing minds", as I would say], and you had issues with that one.) If you had simply asked, "What's your favorite Angelina Jordan song?" or "What Angelina Jordan performance do you love the most?", you might be getting a different mix of responses. All that being said, I will suggest my own personal favorite: ua-cam.com/video/aHGSsqQOs5I/v-deo.html where she sings Adele's "When We Were Young" live in a concert in Norway last summer (about 3 or 4 months before her "Bohemain Rhapsody" performance you just heard). Will it knock your socks off? Perhaps not. Apart from the soaring chorus, it's a pretty low-key song. But the way she sings it is, to me, absolute perfection.
Great analysis. Since i don't know whether the reactor is a jazz fan, which is my favoured Angelina genre, i agree that When We Were Young would be an ideal choice. Soulful, a bit jazzy, and sung flawlessly.
There is a reason why She is called “The Angel with Thousand Voices” as She literally never Uses the same Voice twice 👍 and She makes All of the musical arrangements both Lyrical and Instrumental herself. She is totally Self-taught. Thanks 🙏 again for your Honest reaction ~ OneLove ~ JBB
Thank you for revisiting Angie, You can’t miss with Say, Wicked Game or A million years ago, she also kicks out a mean It’s a mans world and almost out James Browns James Brown, one of the best covers of this song I’ve ever heard.
Wonderful reaction, NorthernEar. I didnt think you would give her another chance, but I am so glad you did. For another reaction, she has so many, but I will recommend "Its a mans world", live version with the military brass band, "California Dreamin", and "Stay" (Rihanna), to start with. All at 12 years old. 3 very different songs, 3 of her best performances. Thank you again, my friend 👍😊
I appreciate your reaction. It is difficult to say if this was her natural voice. She sings differently in many of her songs. You have listened to 2 of her songs in which she sounded differently. The next song of hers you listen to you she may sound different again. I hope you don't think the next song is stylized because her voice sounds differently from these 2 songs. She has been called the girl of a thousand voices. In any event, you asked about her great performances. Of course her version of "I put a spell on you" was fantastic but you weren't very impressed. You might consider "Feeling Good" at the age of 10 or "it's a Man's World" at 12.
As far as songs to highlight Angelinas amazing talent look no further than her cover of Elton John's Goodbye yellow brick road from the very next round of AGT. Mindblowing
Personal favorites: 1) her own song Shield, 2) I'm Still Holding Out For You, 3) Cover of Chris Issacs Wicked Game. Well, those are my favorites at the moment. It changes weekly and whenever I hear one I haven't heard before, which is becoming difficult. ;-)
What you’re hearing is Angelina’s AGT voice, I’ve only heard her sing like this for AGT. I’m Still Holding On For You is my favourite. She was 10 years old when she did it. It won’t be like AGT and it won’t be like I Put a Spell On You. Alternatively you could try Born to Die if you want to try direct comparison to another singer, because she’s just using a backing track at home, and hasn’t Angelina’ised the music.
Thanks for the second try. She is awesome and I thought the first review would have hit you like it did me and millions of others but most or many of her fans know more about her than any other singer, EVER, so I guess someone should have shared the "I put a spell on you" background. If you get a chance listen to the Screamin' Jay Hawkins original and I think you will understand. My vote for next is "Stay" or in an entirely different vein "It's a Man's World".
With Angelina this is a difficult question to answer! I suggest Its a Man's World ua-cam.com/video/HEm7tGrjIKk/v-deo.html in which she appears to expend so little effort (at age 12 by the way) to blow everyone away. I'm sure James Brown would have been impressed.
I'm very glad that you gave Angelina a second chance. She is not only a fantastic singer, but a very humble and good-hearted person, too.
Hope to see you reacting to any of her videos again.
Goosebumps are a totally natural reaction to have, listening to Angelina. 😊
As i use to say:
Angelina is unique, special and has the ability to touch our souls again and again.
Angelina Jordans performance of Gloomy Sunday at 7 years old on Norway's Got Talent. Amazing!
My opinion she's the best singer ever.
Feeling Good is one that makes me feel good every time I listen.
thanks for giving her and us a second chance. this is a wild ride.
Thank you for continuing your reactions to Angelina.. your honesty is needed :)
There are videos of Angelina from the age of six on and watching her develop is a treat from the word go. She will astonish you.
Can’t wait to hear you do more of Angelina Jordan!! You’re a good man. Thanks for the second chance!!!👍🏼🤗🎼
She's very amazing. ♥️
When she sang that song "I put spell on you", she was very young, I think she did very amazing for her age, but yes she has very much grown and improved. She's like a professional now, she's flawless, incredible.
A Million Years Ago. Many reactors have been moved to tears by Angelina’s cover of this song. Please react to it. Sheri
Thank you for reacting to her.
well put
That is exactly right! (and yet she is very good)
Thanks for coming back. You may not get a consensus on the best song from Angelina, but I look forward to watching your next reaction.
Hear hear!
&la!

Yep, she sounds different every time; and usually better than the original in the opinion of many.
Tbf this is a great answer!
Excellent list. Shame it is so short tho' :-)
@@zombie7857 yep. Just a few to get started
Angelina'a cover of "Born to Die" is one of my favorites.
Thank you for a great reaction «I´m still holding out for you» is the next song for you.
She always makes the songs her own. For 13-14now she’s awesome. Too many to pick one favorite!
Welcome to the Angelina journey ❤️ please do more from this beautiful talent, try “Born to Die “ next. Great reaction 👏👍❤️
Million years ago or Stay! Or just pick one... all great
_Million Years Ago_ (Adele cover): ua-cam.com/video/QHLtZQ3sIwE/v-deo.html. no way a 12 yr old can deliver one of Adele's best originals better than Adele, but it happens. Here is proof.
_Stay_ (Rihanna cover) ua-cam.com/video/_GSVPvCy3Yg/v-deo.html. I love this even more than Million Years Ago and that says a lot.

With you on Stay.
I hate to say it, but I think she has overtaken Karen Carpenter as my all time favourite.
just a tiny piece of the greatest singer ever to grace our planet
I have never seen that before,Did the song complete justice, Freddie would have been proud!!
Guess I'm a dead man.
just pick the performance that does not exist. :-)
Her best is yet to come....
She just bounces off the notes during her runs - it's magic, like she's dancing on them.
as you watch her you will be taken aback as to her versatility abilities .
There is a well made fan video of it here: ua-cam.com/video/5IAMF4FDfw4/v-deo.html
I look forward to more of your reactions!
(As if that is a bad thing)
BUT
You got me leaning your way when you used the 'feather' analogy. No one I've heard/read has used that to describe her voice. Well done sir, very inventive and insightful.
It's an experience of a lifetime listening to AJ. What an astounding voice - absolutely my fav female singer. Will you react to Born to Die? Fantastic cover ✌️💛
Great reaction, spot on.Hard to say what will knock your socks off,try I'm holding out for you,It's a Man's World,or Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, they're all great imho.
a milion years ago...
Preben: About AGT and why no-shoes, I think you are referring to this one from Rusty Shackleford's channel => ua-cam.com/video/t4LsdNMX_-0/v-deo.html
her best is her next one. I like that.
@@paulbono2675 Excactly, thanks :)
Angelina told her to “never give up.” In return, the girl told Angelina she would pray for her, and asked her to “remember me.”
She might as well sing in a bad cellphone microphone, without a microphone, or to collaborate with professional musicians.
I'll look forward to continuing the exchange tomorrow if you're up for it.
...Just saw this comment from a reputable source and thought I'd add it in:

Using the regular summer AGT show as an example, in 14 seasons, 7 winners were vocalists.
A million years ago is the most emotional song
He asked for Angelina's "best" song in our opinion. The "absolute best". I laughed. I could imagine all of Angelina fans laugh, or say "impossible". This guy still have no idea what Angelina is. Angelina is not the singer, she is the song. Angelina is not a musician, she is the artist.
Thanks for your nice second reaction to Angelina. It's hard to react to an interpretation like this, you can only be impressed by the fact that Angelina at only 13 years old was able to face a challenge with such an iconic song as this and made her become her own song, with a fantastic reworking, a calm, powerful and terribly emotional interpretation and a great courage to take him to one of the most difficult audiences of the show. the best of Angelina ... is Angelina 🤗😆
For me she is perhaps the most multifaceted and talented singer there is at the moment, if you think she is just turned 14 years. Angelina is not only what you saw in this perfect performance, she is much more, even very different, but everything she does is at a superlative level, This is a small part of the about 130 different interpretations, including covers, songs written for her and her originals written between 11 and 12 years old, if they seem enough, or, if you prefer to continue from the end, you have the other 2 incredible rewritten songs of AGTC 2020 ❤️

@Nicole Jessica He didn't describe her as sexy he said he would describe her STYLE OF VOICE as sexy. Big diffrence
@Nicole Jessica IDIOT Seeing sex everywhere. You are the sick one !
@NorthernLite - she (@NicoleJessica) must be an American. sicko..

Looks like you have both redeemed yourselves today 😆
Loving the lighting by the way.

There are many truly great songs by her, and this recording shows how well she could perform live, about two years ago.
The best Angelina song is (stay) omg its so beautiful
I think one of her most stunning performances is when she sings "What a difference a day makes."
Thanks for circling back.
Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/EBI7Km3z7-U/v-deo.html
Just her and a guitar player (Ivan Mendez) sitting in her home studio in L.A.
Scott Should add that it was so well received the Mamas and Papas official IG account has it posted.

Loved ur reaction, hugs from Sweden
I doubt there is another singer who works so hard to to ensure that, when she sings the song,it is sung in such a way that her listener becomes enmeshed in the emotions
So, here a few recordings for you to consider.

Shield is one of her originals written when she was 12.
She has over 120 songs in order by age playlist by Rusty Shackleford.
In their second reaction to her, they walked that back a bit.)
Like I said in a comment on your "Spell" reaction, it's hard to come up with a song where she's "not doing anything" to change her voice, but it's very easy to come up with a list of a dozen videos where she's changing her voice in completely different ways. Her vocal versatility is one of her most beloved characteristics among fans, but it may well rub you the wrong way. (You might feel like she's not "being herself", or whatever.) I'm glad you feel like you heard "her voice" here, but I'm wondering whether that means you will be put off by the next video when she sounds like Amy Winehouse or Adele, or Lana Del Rey, or Whitney Houston, or…
You asked for her "best song" that will "knock [your] socks off".
Thanks 🙏 again for your Honest reaction

Thank you for revisiting Angie, You can’t miss with Say, Wicked Game or A million years ago, she also kicks out a mean It’s a mans world and almost out James Browns James Brown, one of the best covers of this song I’ve ever heard.
“Stay”...dang phone
She also does Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing”. It showcases her amazing range. She does the best cover of it. IMO. Sheri
As far as songs to highlight Angelinas amazing talent look no further than her cover of Elton John's Goodbye yellow brick road from the very next round of AGT. Mindblowing
Shield...om TV2 Skavlan at age 12. It's her own song, not a cover
here is the link to that specific performance ua-cam.com/video/lQtUbVKb0vs/v-deo.html. and it is great.
If you go to streaming music, you will find this as a released single!
Under her own label.
But just a tad less impressive. She really does feed off the intensity of a live audience.
She put a spell on you
Thanks for the second try.
Thank you so much for your great reaction to this amazing performance 🙂❤️ You should also do "Yellow Brick Road" from AGT or her "Born to die" 🤩🤩
California Dreaming and It's a man's world. (the performance with the brass orchestra)

Great reaction, please continue the journey.
Oh loved seeing you doing this🙏
Glad you got to experience what we long time listeners have seen for a long time...enjoy the trip.
