@@stephenrobinson52 And really fun! As fact I'm working professionally in 3d due to it. To do the donut you can follow this playlist ua-cam.com/play/PLjEaoINr3zgEq0u2MzVgAaHEBt--xLB6U.html (almost all beginners begin by the donut xD)
Hack for easy DIY juggling balls (probably inferior to regular juggling balls): 1. cut a little hole in tennis ball 2. using funnel insert desired amount (use kitchen scale to make sure every ball weight the same) of grains/sand/etc 3. wrap the ball in balloon 4. enjoy grippy balls that doesn't roll away and have perfect weight
Love this! I remember that mental block being a tough one for me to overcome. It's always fun to see people not to far from me doing what I love. Keep on jugglin' on!
Took me about a month to learn 4 ball juggleing, with training about 15 min a day. i found it intererresting to see that the work you put in only showed the day after.
"i spent more time picking up tennis balls then i did actually juggling" i felt that, when i learned to juggle i did it whith skateboard wheels and they would always roll away XD
@@stephenrobinson52 Two things: First, not all "legit" juggling balls dont bounce. There are loads of different types, some bounce, some dont. The probably best juggler of all time Anthony Gatto used spray painted pinky balls for most of his career, they are very bouncy. Second, one practice tip, it is more boring, but faster and more effective: Dont juggle until you drop. You dont want to practice dropping and picking balls up, you want to practice juggling. If your are not comfortable doing 8 catches with 4 balls and you drop half the time, do 6 catches till it is solid. Then add two more, or one. If you drop a lot, go back a step. And dont try to go as long as you can. If you think you will lose control of the pattern just stop, dont try to squeeze out 2 more catches and then drop. (Also you seem to to a lot of juggling with stretched arms, keep the elbows at your body and at a 90 degree angle - if notice you need to stretch your arms to catch, stop. It is not worth to practice a bad pattern) All this is for effective practice to become better at juggling and in the grand scheme of things 4 balls is still pretty easy and just trying until you hit them does not cost that much time and wrong technique is easly corrected later, but if you ever try 5 balls I would highly recommend some more "good" practice. I also dont know how many of the drops were cut in for effect and how often you really juggled to failure, so if you are already doing it most of the time, just ignore what I said.
v tricky to learn, at least for me. one year on i still cant keep it going for more than a few seconds. the two columns are hard to get symetrical and any slight differences can make the pattern go out of sync. theres alot of micro tricks to learn with this one
What skills should I learn next????
Making a donut in Blender (open source 3d software) ;)
Stacking cards or spinning a ball in your elbow
How to speed read accurately and retain the info.
@@hugoantunesartwithblender Ooooooo, interesting.

Honestly to me the biggest improvement with juggling balls is how they don't run away from you like the more bouncy tennis balls.
Totally
Well, as an amateur juggler I think that trying to juggle with tennis balls is as strange as trying to play tennis with juggling balls.
True. Only some options are worse : bouncy balls, baby hedgehogs and your work affair along your family life.

White skateboard wheels! Crazy! One of the nice things about the legit juggling balls is they would immediately stop once they hit the ground.
