Great tutorials. I appreciate your easy versions. They are very help full and doable for us regular guys who just want to play and sing. Keep em coming and Thank you!
Hey Marty, Just want to thank you for posting these songs. I have played off and on for close to 50 years now but always had an excuse not to practice. Well kids are grown and have a lot more time now to practice. Couple of years ago I started collecting guitars and now up to 3 electric and 3 acoustic. I started watching your UA-cam videos and in just a few days I have learned 5 songs from your videos. Thanks again.
That's awesome!! Welcome back, sounds like you have a nice little collection coming along there, you can never have too many, I'm afraid it's a sickness with me! lol. I'm glad you are back and learning again, good luck to you and thanx for the note. Hey, I am trying to reach 100k subscribers so tell your friends about me, it would be greatly appreciated, thanx for tuning in, take care
You're the kinda guy I want at my BBQ. Since that's a no go, I have to learn these damn tunes myself! 🤣 I've watched three different tutorial versions of this song and all three use different chords!! Crazy how that works, eh? I'll use yours. Thank you, good sir. Keep on rockin' my man.
Good to hear some tips from someone who obviously loves what he does !! Thanks for keepin it simple for those of us who have enough comlications in their lives !!
That's great, keep at it, it will get better everyday. Hey, I'm trying to reach 100k subscribers so please spread the word about my channel, it would be greatly appreciated
Nice lessons, I just found you today. I like how you teach the song then play it, I always get lost in a song mix, so it's great to learn from your cover. Thanks!
I’d like to see scotch and soda. Kingston trio popularized it but I found a Hank Thompson version. My problem is none of these and other versions are the same chordwise. Chordify has a simplified tab but one version has a 7th chord, one has a 9th and simplified has simple neither. Listening to the song, there’s just something missing in my performance. I think I’m a somewhat slightly better than average player but you seem to nail it down just right, like the G7 you added at the end of Take it Easy. I would love to hear you play Scotch and Soda and comment on the chords. I’m Glenn, a long time subscriber, so how bout it. I’m going to click the bell so I won’t miss it. If you’ve already done it, I can’t find it. Thanks for all your tricks over the years. Actually I’ve never written a comment to you before, so thanks.
You are the best , just started to play . Can you put the cords in a box with an arrow that moves to the next cord as you play so that I can follow you. I have seen this on line and it will be easy for me and other starters to see the cord change . Thank you you are number 1 . Ron
I'm afraid I'm not equipped for that my friend but if you practice and learn the looks and shapes of the chords, then the changes will come easier. Try and play as often as you can and it will come. Thanx for tuning in, good luck to you. Hey, I'm trying to reach 100k subscribers so please spread the word about my channel, it would be greatly appreciated
I love watching your lessons man. You make it great to be able to play a lot songs. Do you play any blues songs like Dust my broom or Hoochie Coochie man or anything like that? Thanks for all your time making playing guitar fun.
Thanx, I'm glad you like my vids. And I'm happy to help. I don't have vids for those but you may want to try these to start - good luckua-cam.com/video/Wh0l4e9aV3E/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/QjsMOHlsxOg/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/F5wnwiuqIKI/v-deo.html
Hi my friend! Your channel is amazing , simple way how to play and great songs, a sugetsion for you could you put the lirics together. It's good for people that is not fluenty in english! Thanks Keep going. I am learning guitar and see your channel to learn musics
Thanks for another great lesson. I can’t sing, it’s all flat. Just was not gifted with a voice, but I still sing along with my playing so I keep up with the changes. Thank you very much for your channel, I have learned about 20 songs here. ✌️😎
Thanx buddy, I appreciate all your comments, I will tear that girl off the wall one of these days/. Thanx for your support my friend, Happy Holidays to you and yours
Thomas Adamski I've been thinking long and hard which one is the right one for me. I know they all sound good if I had the money it would be a SJ 200 vintage I will have to sell the car or something🤣
terry heale Yea, they are pricey. Took me a bit to save up for the J-15, but no regrets. I enjoy playing it every day! I've seen them for $125 a month (1 year) through American Musical Supply or used through Guitar Center for about $1000. Good luck!
I would recommend that anyone on a budget take a look at an Alvarez MDA66shb. I don't think that, for the price (around $600 USD), you could do any better. Solid mahogany top, back, and sides, bone, abalone, etc., etc. - look it up, I don't need to advertise for them here! Great sounding and absolutely comfortable to play.
I agree it is a great tune. It is fine thanx, That is a great tune, I will put it on the list of possible future projects to do, Thanx for tuning in, good luck
Its always played as a Skynyrd song, the into has to be dead on. Listen to the original cut. Crawldad, Steve wrote it years ago, the main reason I am pitching this. At some point some songs really cant be played note for note. The lesson subject, How to improvise a lead that is close to the original and with the same feel.
Yes Marty, please say which note, instead of "note". Not to be petty ☺. Great version BTW. I've played this for years but you've shown me a better way!

He goes through it around 3:14. It sounds like D, D, U, D, U, D, U - emphasis on the D's. Hope that helps :)
