I really wanted to become a clinical associate once I learned about it from an American UA-camr, they call it Physician Assistant. I fell in love with it immediately. Searched for it here in South Africa and learned that it is Clinical Associate. I did a bit more research and there were a lot of holes in the which is understandable since it is fairly new in South Africa. I can't do it though because of my matric marks and I am currently finishing my Biochemistry and Medical physiology degree which had a bridging course. As to how I got into this programme only God knows honestly 🤯.

The last time I remember, to transfer from BCMP to MBChB via internal application at UP you need to have more than 6 if not 7 core modules for 1st semester (when the applications are still open) and you need to pass them with distinctions...
I did an internal application when I was doing my first year which was 2019... My application was rejected because out of my 5 modules (if not 6), only 3 were core modules
Is it good enough to get anyone into GEMP,I ask because I saw BCMP doesn't have Physics, chemistry, molecular medicine and physiology?Is it advisable to do that when your goal is GEMP?I am applying with Wits next year,my choices were BSC, physiotherapy and Health Sciences systems because of those modules I have mentioned above?
Please tell me between nursing and clinical associates who make more many and what advice will u give to someone who is confused between the two in regards which course to do

I suggest u research about courses in the medical field cuz thtz quite a lot, get the one you really love and when you are admitted in the university…you can change the following year or change whn u register. Thts if you qualify and thre is space in the course u changing too

Besides supervision what are the differences between Doctor's Clinical Associates?
ClinA's don't do major surgery like Doctors they are only taught basic sutures.
After graduating do you also get placed at hospital by the government like how they do with doctors?
