Sugarloaf in 3 Minutes | BRAND NEW Enduro Mountain Bike Trails

- Sugarloaf has enduro trails?! Yup! Sugarloaf's enduro MTB scene is back in action with Adam Craig and a massive crew of volunteers at the helm. The trails are now open to the public, but remain pedal access only. There are currently 4 enduro trails, which are all listed on Trailforks. Be advised, both the enduro and DH trails are all brand new trails, built with racing and water management in mind, and are still under construction, so ride with caution.
We spent two days on the mountain digging and riding, and I can honestly say this will be the best ESC venue of the year and some of the best trails that I have personally ridden in the Northeast. Raw, janky, fast, and steep; you don't want to miss this one! In addition to the upcoming ESC race, the EWS will be making it's way to the mountain in August of 2022, so expect things to keep getting better between now and then!
A huge thank you to Sugarloaf Mountain, Brenna Herridge, Adam Craig, the entire ESC family, and all of the riders who showed up to shred and dig. The community is growing and I am humbled to be able to be a part of it and share with everyone.

Great job Guys !!!
Cheers!
Very well done Sir Jimmy. Think you got a great example of the magical loam and vision of Adam, Brenna and the Loaf team. Cannot wait til the next one.
Cheers brother. Hard to do such amazing trails justice, but I think we pulled it off! 👊🏼
I’ll be there that weekend, can’t wait! Not racing but planning to ride in the valley, watch the ESC, and hopefully chill with some riders I’ve always wanted to meet after following for years online! CV’s my happy place, I lived there for 4 months last year and still ride there almost weekly; it’s so exciting to see what Adam and crew are doing on the mountain, bringing events like the ESC and next year’s EWS to the valley!
Good stuff! It's great to see the EWS come to the area, and these trails will make a great addition to the already huge local trail network!
Indeed they will! Can’t wait to see it all come to fruition!
I can’t wait to watch, meet and maybe even ride with a few of my favorite EWS racers next year! Already stoked for ESC weekend but the EWS race is going to be MTB heaven on earth!
Epic! What a rad time on the mountain! Stoked with how this project came out!
All time weekend for sure. Thanks as always for helping to make the magic happen brother!
so much fun sampling the goods!
Awesome digging and shredding with you man! All time weekend!
"Think like water and jumps" My man!
Sic edit. Can't wait to check out the goods next month.
Thanks! You won’t regret making the trip! 🤘🏼
I’m sold. Great vid as always.
Cheers!
Your new friend, 14 year old Kale Cushman, won the women's pro downhill and enduro races at Sugarloaf a couple weeks after this video was posted. She's going to be someone to watch in the bike world.
She sure did! She’s works very hard and is very talented. Definitely going places! 🤘🏼
So sick definitely gotta head up there again! 🤘
Seems like a solid idea to me! 🤘🏼🔥
Jimmy, you are upping your edit game! 💯
Appreciate it! Hoping to keep improving. 🤘🏼
Looks gnarly
Raw is a better description, IMO. Not really too gnarly.
Awesome!!! Any video from sugarbush?? Looked like a heavy weekend and racing was awesome! Cheers
I will be putting out an enduro weekend video featuring Sugarbush soon. 🤘🏼
So loamy and beautiful
Ya'll are straight haulin' ass lol
Only 1 speed… fast! 😂😎
Well Jimmy and crew, sexy stuff
Hahaha thanks bud
Get that lift turning.
Get those legs turning. ☺️
@@MTBTravelReview LOL Touche
@@radmitch2796 haha. Sorry, has to. In all seriousness, I do think they will have some lifts running next year. Don’t quote me on the though…
So I gotta ask I see the truck in the background with the tailgate pad is there an access rd that you can get shuttled up? I went full dh and no more enduro bike…
Unfortunately, there is no shuttling allowed at the mountain at this time. Shuttles are used only by builders occasionally for trail work. Lifts do spin for major races, but that’s all for now.
@@MTBTravelReview that’s what I thought but just figured I’d ask! Would love if they ran the lifts!
@@ridewideopen2811 same here!
What’s the pedal up like ?
It’s… uphill. Haha. All kidding aside, it’s around 600’ of elevation, so it’s a climb for sure, but pretty easy to travel fire roads for the most part.
If you start from the bottom of the valley trail network (Outdoor Center or Campbell Field/Maine Huts trailheads on the river) it’s a real grind, but from the base of the mountain it’s not too bad. About the same vert from there as climbing one of the two valley knolls (Oak and Hurricane), just without all the tasty switchbacks to break it into bite sized pieces.
When you can't make it to the Sugarloaf ESC and this comes up into your feed.
Oh no… sorry man! Haha. EWS next year!
Wtf is Sage doing there??? I thought he only rode mt bachelor lol
Haha. Visiting a friend. Dude shreds
Man I wish I had Josh's hairline
