I played the game for a long time but just started hunting with the bow. I'd think that longer range archery would be nice. And something different but maybe add a crossbow? Edit: you mentioned crossbows :D
Mountain Man Games like you said The wind deflection and accuracy NEEDS to be changed Even a 40lb bow should be shooting flat till about 20yards with a 420 grain arrow And EASILY confidently shoot to 50 yards if not more 60 or he'll even 70 lb bow You can reach out and touch face decently accurately enough to hit vitals at NEAR 100 yards Would I personally shoot that far? Nah But the bows can do it Throw a bow in a shooting machine and you can bust knocks at 50 yards all day even in wind It's insane
- No random spread added to arrows. The wobble is enough. - Compound bows are nowhere near as accurate as they are in real life. You should be able to hit a target reliably at 100m+ with a compound. - The wind should impact arrow flight in a more realistic manner. Right now, a light breeze will blow a 600gr arrow like a leaf. - Would like to see a recurve and/or a traditional bow as well. - Tracer arrows.
I use the 3 pin sight and the 2nd and 3rd bow. They are both good from 10 to 60 meters. I often make 50m shots. It's halfway between the second and 3rd pin. I think really a little lower than that. 2/3 down from mid pin. 40m is 1/3 down from mid pin. 10, 30, 60 - is the 3 pins. I can here to find how to retrieve and arrow at the range. I'll watch the vid. I only have 1 of the 2 of that perk to recycle, When I stand at the arrows in the target, nothing happens.
it Clearly says on increased confidence that ACCURACY IS NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH WOBBLE EFFECT ITS THE RANDOM ANGLE OFFSET THAT OCCURS WHEN ARROW IS FIRED.
No, the accuracy is referring to how much your weapon wobbles while aiming. This is apart from the built-in random offset that the bows all have. The razorback has higher accuracy because it has the stabilizer on the front; conversely, the bigger, heavier rifles all have reduced accuracy presumably because they're heavy and difficult to hold steady. They really need to rename the Accuracy stat to something else, because it's misleading.
NO. you are totally wrong and too stubborn to learn. The wobble and the accuracy are 2 different things. Wobble is the wobble that happens while you hold the bow aimed. Accuracy is an angle offset from the direct line through the sights to the target. It is a random offset. If you could clamp that bow aimed perfectly, and take 10 shots, the arrows will hit randomly inside a circle. How big that circle is depends on your distance and what perks you have working for you.
ive been using the bow for a bit and so far ive been able to hit fairly accurately up to about 60m. few wiffed shots but id say 8 out of 10 that arnt me messing up are right on
Cry me a river headshot. Why do you need to have a sook about a legit way of finding information. No one told him how to do it so if he googled it he will know
Rad Dog I wouldn’t waste your time. Pc eliteist are jackasses. Nothing you say will change that. Buddy, up on dpad twice and hit a to attach sight. If it doesn’t work the first time, do it it again and it will turn on. If it still doesn’t work, make sure you put the sight on your bow.
well, i'm rewatching this because i started with bow hunting. and if you've followed the streams, they're gonna add both crossbows and traditional bows. so that's pretty nice.
Thx for the video. It cleared up some of my questions. Before watching this I had killed a bull moose with the bearclaw cb-60 with the medium game arrows at 55 yards. Got him right in the lung.
Great vid. I'm a newbie, so I was wondering if you could please answer this question (in three sentences or less): Is the bow system still wonky as it was back July 2017 or has it improved to be a lot more realistic?
The bows for me seemed to hit different places than red dot and the green dot (distance meter) said. Im sure you can get good with it, but i would suggest to leave them until you are higher lvl with perks allowing you more stealthy movement= better approach to your target
You never mentioned this in the video, but how is the loudness compared to rifles or other weapons. I just completed my first mission with the bow, where we have to harvest a Red Fox. I did it from a stand, with a caller... lure hunting. It was still difficult. Stock everything. But, I noticed it was relatively silent. However, it did alert the foxes quite a bit. Any way to elaborate on this? Thanks PS - I just found your channel and subscribed the other day, after watching about the amazingly horrible accuracy of the shotguns.
If you head to Hirschfelden, it's an island off the coast, almost straight east from the very first outpost you unlock. Long, thin island. You can't miss it on the map.
Yes, it really stinks because in real life it isn't that difficult to hold a 3" grouping at 80 yards. Also wind literally doesn't affect an arrow anywhere near like this game. At 60 yards with a 10mph crosswind my arrows don't even drift 3 inches
First off ; get the bow plumb/level! Looks stupid for a compound bow. A top end compound bow in the hands of the the well practiced can easily be accurate at 50 meters. I have a seven pin sight on my Hoyt covering 20 to 80 yards. When in practice I average 5 inch groups at 80 yards for 6 arrows. And I'm certainly not the best. The game seems scaled for a traditional bow.
You're pretty good. 5" groups at 80? - I wish I could do that. I'm good to 40m. At 50m, I sometimes miss the whole target. But I really need to practice more.
The accuracy must have been fixed. I've hardly used it in the game. My first bow shot took down a fox at 65-68m. I tested 10 shoots at the range and found it to be pretty accurate. I own a real compound bow. I didn't have any archery perks or skills unlocked in the game.
And 300 hundred grain for small game? What in all of creation are you going to do with the animal. If you shoot a rabbit with a 300 graing all you will have is the feet
Great vids , but if you could stop saying : hmmm all the time , it would be even better . Can't watch all of this one , sorry . Just too annoying to me . sorry again .
How do you guys feel that archery can be improved in Call of the Wild? What are you hoping to see added to archery in the future?
I played the game for a long time but just started hunting with the bow. I'd think that longer range archery would be nice. And something different but maybe add a crossbow?
Edit: you mentioned crossbows :D
I would like tree stands, lighted arrow knocks, bow fishing, and crossbow's
isaan01 goose, duck and pheasant hunting would also be nice
Mountain Man Games like you said

Jesus Christ the Game Looks so much Better on pc
I myself prefer archery over rifles haven't unlock the heavy arrows yet working on it and still having trouble with the 3pin sight thanks for the tips
Damn, accuracy DOES NOT mean how much wobble you get when aiming. That is why you find the bows bad implemented
I use the 3 pin sight and the 2nd and 3rd bow. They are both good from 10 to 60 meters. I often make 50m shots. It's halfway between the second and 3rd pin. I’m thumbing up all these videos, they are so helpful
Hell YAY
Bruh bows work at 40 to 50 if u know how to adjust for distance and crush the lungs
it Clearly says on increased confidence that ACCURACY IS NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH WOBBLE EFFECT ITS THE RANDOM ANGLE OFFSET THAT OCCURS WHEN ARROW IS FIRED.
6:11 I don't think so. There is a random spread added to arrows. I think that's what accuracy dictates.

increased confidence perk will lower the random spread. .... i think, if you read the description, it is what I am understand atleast.

Well, exactly what you are describe is my meaning of "random spread" on the target -.-
great video, answered a bunch of my questions and will improve my game play, thanks
Only 2.4k subscribers? Keep going cause your gonna blow up especially with the quality of your videos

How do the high tech bows stack up against the hawk edge
how do you turn on the single pin sight on xb1?
Chris google it buddy
Cry me a river headshot. Why do you need to have a sook about a legit way of finding information. No one told him how to do it so if he googled it he will know
Yeah, but the way you said it was a little rude.
Not really. I think you guys are just being sooks

you mean the devs streams?....if so could you link it to me

@@rybkagaming8575 Thanks for your response! I'll keep that advice in mind.
I'm assuming so but have they fixed a lot of the bow issues? I just recently got the game and haven't decided if I want to use the bows yet

What button bring up the Bows?
where in the map is the shooting range?
If you head to Hirschfelden, it's an island off the coast, almost straight east from the very first outpost you unlock. Long, thin island. You can't miss it on the map.
But it’s not letting me equip my bow
I just got a gold roe deer with the 70lb bow and 420 grain arrow
How do I get the bow
Theres no trad bows atm in the game?
Thanks for these videos
Where is the shooting range located
In Hirschfelden Reserve, due east of the first outpost you discover. It's a long, thin spit of land off the coast, can't miss it.
MtnManGames thank you
I bought the bow but i can’t figure out how to switch it from gun to bow or add it to inventory
accuracy not equals to wobble.

When I click on your twitch link it says- sorry, this channel is in another castle?
My bad! I changed my Twitch name a while back and evidently never updated it here on UA-cam. The correct profile is twitch.tv/mtnmangames. Sorry!
Why no crossbow? Hunting simulator herd add crossbows

Time for 100 lbs yew English warbows?
I like this guy
How’s don’t just drop animals in real life like they do n the game . People track animals for several yards before finding the animal
And 300 hundred grain for small game? What in all of creation are you going to do with the animal. If you shoot a rabbit with a 300 graing all you will have is the feet
