- Flooding around Malmesbury, January 15th 2020.
Storm Brendan caused flooding to the St John's Bridge area and Malmesbury Victoria Football Club's pitch. The Buildbase depot along Park Road was also flooded.
Views from the Silk Mills area, the Park Road area and a 180 degree view from Cowbridge at the end.

Loved it. Shame so much damage.👏👏
I don't think there was too much damage this time
Incredible views, I wasn’t aware Malmesbury was so badly flooded too. Sad to see 😢
Luckily I don't think any properties were affected this time.
Abbey Aerial Video very lucky. Hope you’re well fella. Stay safe 👍🏻
Only a few houses had been issued with sand bags and move the furniture and belongings upstairs
We weren’t effected luckily
Build more Houses on floodplain, that should sort it. well done the planning comity .
Some houses are on a flood plain however the river was really high above normal depth with is pretty deep
This was a lot worse then what we are used to
I don't think there are too many new houses on a floodplain in Malmesbury
Ps/
Currently there is group of 4 meeting regularly, to discuss this project & hope you can too to make a good representation of the town
Cool.
@@AbbeyAerialVideo Hi there , due to Covid , the project was dissolved… will contact again if it or similar pops up , best cheers
Didn't think it was as bad as it is
Yes not too much damage
Hello Abbey Arial Video
We have been following your wonderful videos for sometime
I have been asked to participate in making video content for the ....
Malmesbury twinning association ,a video introducing Malmesbury, it’s history & character & is wondering if you would participate, creating new / or existing drone footage
The video is going to show the Malmesbury bell ringers at St Paul’s by the Abbey & while they do there thing we would chart Malmesburys history also showing, hopefully arial footage & other local views shot by myself
This project is due too be completed in May
Malmesbury twinning association, celebrating Next year (2020) we will hold a Cultural Festival in conjunction with twinned cities of Gien (France) and Niebull) Germany. The objective is to hold cultural events such as musical and dance performances, art and photographic exhibitions, in all three towns throughout Spring and Autumn 2020, which might be physical or virtual, and include some groups visiting other Trimelage towns. This should be a fantastic project bringing in as many people as possible, sharing the commonality and diversity of our cultural and creative heritages. It was agreed that although some events might occur throughout the year we should focus particularly on the three weeks when Niebüll would visit Malmesbury, Malmesbury visit Gien, and Gien visit Niebüll. In the specific case of this Bell Ringing Audio/Video project, the final product will be shared with the public at large in the three towns and beyond, via the three respective websites of the twinned towns, the various social media accounts run by the Malmesbury Twinning associations and any other way deemed appropriate by the three organisations in their respective towns.
Anyway I hope you’re can shoot or provide us some of your work as it would certainly give the overview of the town we are looking
