Testing out a counter pressure filler carbonation cap, great bit of kit, no more beer all over the floor when filling bottles off the keg!

I recommend filling the bottle with water/sanitise, home the bottle upside down, connect to gas and slowly unscrew the lid until all the liquid comes out. That way you only use enough gas as to replace all the oxygen while sanitising the bottle at the same time killing two birds with one stone.

I've had these for ages to clean lines and only just thought about using them for bottle filling. I'm going to use a picnic tap so I don't have to keep opening the cap to vent gas.

I picked a pair of these up; I used one in my carboy cap to apply the pressure instead of breathing in it which always grossed me out.

Great video! I must have another crack with mine. I only tried to use it for cleaning. Cheaper than a beer gun!

Nice one bud I bought one a while back just to clean my lines, it works well as a cleaning not used it for anything else.

Silly observation perhaps but when cleaning, you could just squeeze the bottle gently with your hand to not need co2

Co2 is heavy than air so when you pressure the bottle there is no need to open the cap releasing it just connect beer line and then realise cap to start filling

yeah it definitely preserves carbonation better than the tap method and its really easy too, great for beermails off the kegs

I using these to carbonate a bunch of PET bottles filled with pilsner that didnt carb probably in the bottle because too much w3470 yeast dropped out before i bottled.

I imagine I could make this work with pin lock system as well by substituting parts. I would rather force carb along with shaking to get a few bottles drinkable straight away than doing that with my keg and let keg Force carbonate at slower pace. Great vid!

Should be easy enough if you create your own adaptor, to change from one to the other. Yes it’s definitely a good way to force carb a small amount without potentially overdoing it on the whole batch. Cheers
