I have install these lights just to help you out a little. the ballasts have to go on the opposite side of the ballast mount. Inside on each side you will see a we are two body pieces have been tack welded together. You’re on the right track you some two-sided tape to stick to the pinch weld then put the clips over top of the mount on the jeep body where the pinch weld is sandwiching them together this will make the clip tight as well. Make sure you face the ballast towards the front of the jeep away from the light due toThe ballast heating up. Unfortunately The tape that you use will become hot and probably fall off then you will have the ballast flopping around. Not a criticism just trying to help out.

Thank you for the feedback, I ended up getting a great deal on brand new JW Speaker tail lights and I used the S Clips on the piece of sheet metal there like how it’s supposed to be it turned out great, thank you for watching!
