What a blessing to have an adoptive mother like you who encourages them to have a relationship with their tummy mummy! And the way you talk about her: it’s moving and beautiful .
As someone who’s been in foster care for 6 years, I can assure you that it’s hard constantly hearing how bad my parents were. I was always reminded that my situation was different and it made me question my worth. Therefore, I respect you so much for how you speak about their tummy mommy to them. It truly will make a difference. Also, thank you for being that difference, so many people become foster parents for the wrong reasons. You’re appreciated 💜
I am a adoptive parent. My little one was 32 hours old when she came into my life. She is now 9years old. We do not have a relationship with the adoptive mom as we do not know her. Tummy mommy is such a sweet way to say birth mom. Love it. Also, I was a foster mom for 20 years. I started fostering at a very young age.
@@SL-lz9jr Me too. I'm currently almost 17 but when I'm older and have a stable job, house, and can afford it I'd love to be a foster parent. Honestly when I'm older I'm probably gonna adopt teenagers and older kids because the older they are the harder it is for them to get adopted. For now though I have to work on graduating and getting into college.
I recently found your channel and was initially apprehensive as I am a social worker in child welfare and just know way too much honestly 😅. But WOW you have blown me away with your knowledge of the trauma and challenges of foster care and adoption, cultural awareness, and loving those sweet kiddos so well. Thank you for showing the beauty of an open adoption and how amazing it can be for kid’s sense of identity. I cried in both this video and the natural hair styling videos!!!
i swear you just keep getting better and better, the fact that you encourage the kids to want to know their birth mom is amazing!!! Thank you for raising well rounded and loved children. I want to foster one day and you give me hope. p.s little pigtails is going to have her own channel before long because she loves the camera lol. wishing you and your family many blessings
Your attitude about the tummy mommy is AWESOME. I was adopted at birth almost 52 yrs ago. We didn't have that kind of openness. My mom always told me how much my "tummy mommy" loved me b/c she wanted the best life for me. After I had my own kids, I learned what incredible selflessness it must take to give your child the life you are not able to. Iui t has to be the hardest thing ever even for the best reason. I'm sure it really makes the bio mom comfortable knowing the girls have such an awesome family and that you portray her in the most positive light. And I really can not stop crying with your videos. 💓💗💓
This is amazing! YOU are amazing! I’m a “tummy mommy” and my son’s parents are the absolute best! The day I met them, I knew that they were going to be the perfect family for him. Making the decision to put my birth-son up for adoption was one of the hardest choices I ever had to make, but I don’t regret it because I know that by doing so, I was able to give him the best life that I possibly could.
Literally in tears from the girls present from there tummy mommy I placed my twins for adoption it was supposed to be open but the agency I went through ruined our relationship! This video makes me happy and seeing there reactions! You are an amazing mom!!
SerenitysMamma I’m so sorry to hear that, but it’s not too late regardless of what happened, please reach out for the kids, they are number 1, best wishes x
It made me tear up that Lilly and Natalia have such an open relationship with their birth mama. I remember when I was growing up birthday cards and presents from my birth mama just filled me with so much joy, appreciation and pride! It didn’t matter what it was but it meant the world to me. Unfortunately I am an adult now and now longer in contact with anyone. It hurts but I’m hoping to reach out to my biological grandma again soon. Your videos make me so happy! Thank you for sharing! Stay safe.❤️
I don't consider anything she does small, I was a foster mother, any gift they give is abundant. The fact that she brought the clothing, mailed the clothing is wonderful. Their situations are tough, every gift counts big time! I appreciate her every effort! I know you are an amazing mom, our words will never be on point every time. I also an underdog lover, and we dont ever want to make lite of her sacrifices. I understood what you were conveying, if I were her ears, it could sound like she hadn't done enough. Some biological parents dont or cannot afford to give anything at all! So I salute every bit she offers big time!
Wonderfully worded. The gifts should never be referred to as "small" as though it is less in comparison to what they have already. They should be seen as thoughtful gifts of love from tummy mommy!!
It’s nice that you go out and buy things for your self’s (and some for the kids)most parents Focus just on there child’s which is great but moms need time off too

I needed to watch this video. I adopted my son from a friend. We disconnected over differences. This video helped me understand how us having a relationship is beneficial for my son.
That was the sweetest 💕 So happy to see this! My cousin adopted two little boys (from different birth families) and they have an open adoption. Every summer the whole gang meets up for a special camping trip and the kids have the benefit of everyone’s love 💕 Not possible for every situation, but so lovely the way you speak of the girls’ tummy mommy and make her part of their lives.

If I could afford it I would look into adopting a baby or fostering ... I am a widow, almost 40, and can't have any more kids (I have a 16 year old girl). Those little girls are absolutely gorgeous !!
Christy and Ed - you both have oceans of love which is so special. Open adoption is the best. My youngest brother was adopted but we were able to have a relationship with him our whole life. His adopted family is our family also.
@@lenoralol9962 I understand that. But she cares for those kids 24/7, through the ups and downs, and loves them unconditionally. In other words, Christy is their real mom.
A "real" mom or dad is whoever raises and does the day to day care 365 days a year. That includes adoptive parents. The biological parent gave the child a great gift, life and a chance to live that life with someone who can provide for them.
You are the absolute sweetest, and your girls are wonderful 🤍 what a sweet gesture from their tummy mommy. So happy to see such a great relationship between you guys!
It’s so hard for anybody to understand how an adoptive mom feels about their birth mom. They have given us a gift that is undescribable and there is such a love there where we feel an attachment that is hard to explain. My son is 24 now but when he was younger we always kept his birth mom‘s book out and all of the letters and little gifts were all in this book and we would read it together all the time so it never made him feel different, adoption was just a normal thing in our household. If any adoptive mom out there is looking for a gift to give their birth mother, a charm bracelet it’s such a beautiful idea. When my son started school we bought her a little apple and sent it just things like that whenever he was having something new happening or exciting in his lifeWe would buy a charm the correlated with it and she absolutely loved it but also said it felt like she was part of those exciting times in his life also.
You are so awesome in so many ways! Your kids are sooo blessed to have you as their Mom! I don’t know how you do it with 5 kids! I love the way you speak about their tummy mommy. I can really tell that their is no judgement on your part and that’s wonderful!

Literally. I am in love with your entire family. I've wanted to adopt since I was a little girl, and seeing your story has been so lovely.
wow how precious is that and those gifts were so thoughtful. you set a great example for adoptive families out there 💗✨
they’re so cute i can’t even
You are so awesome in so many ways! Your kids are sooo blessed to have you as their Mom! I don’t know how you do it with 5 kids! I love the way you speak about their tummy mommy. I can really tell that their is no judgement on your part and that’s wonderful!
