ironically, i still need 13 pieces to a robot i bought 2 parts for in a machine in the USA back in the 80s. 15-in-1 robot (originally Microman related, but it was cast in ERASER-like monochromatic rubber/plastic)

All that grief some months ago just to find one of those glow Godzilla skeletons sitting there! Such a cool video, would be such an inefficient way I might spend a visit to Japan, going to all these stores, but maaaaan so compelling.
Only a few months away from hitting up all the toy spots in Tokyo, including Tachikawa again :) Keep up the good content mate :) PS: Also driving around Gunma/Saitama hitting the big recycle shops along the way :)

Yes, newer more elaborate HG Godzilla set with a larger Destoroyah and a “chase” to-scale Burning Godzilla (with one tiny Destoroyah part) that’s also Ultimate Luminous compatible.
It seems that a lot of parent's just dump excess toys here, even stuff from within the last few months. Tend to find loads of the latest Happy Meal toys, and recent shokugan figures in these bins. Plus loads of recent "Ichiban Kuji" lottery prizes, which always fill up some of them. I'm sure later this year there will be a lot more Geats stuff in there.

Lol, Godzilla stuff is pricey these days. $70 is nothing compared to the Godzilla vinyls that sell for $200-$1,000 these days. But yeah, insane either way (Surugaya’s prices are hit an miss, a couple were actually good deals given todays market value, while a few were overpriced… so balances out I suppose).

I've loved Godzilla since i was a very small child and my daycare showed it on a reel-to-reel projector....and then showed it backwards, which was fun to watch Godzilla BUILD back the destroyed cities.

Try searching "Godzilla sofubi" on ebay or google.... the stuff by Bandai is the cheapest, with their new releases being around $20-$30... but that is the tip of the iceberg.
no, they just have a lot gashapon in the junk bins and wall racks. There are loads of other items there like large deluxe figures, action figures, plush, books, cards, dvds, and video games (etc).
Japan is still very much wearing masks due to Covid, most of Asia still is actually. Supposedly the mask requirements will be relaxed this Spring. But, even BEFORE Covid, people in Japan tend to wear masks a lot, epescially during cold and flu seasons like winter. Just the way it is here.
@@TOKYOTOYBANZAI wow, that has to suck in the summer time. i mean, i get it, when i lived in colder areas i wore a scarf around my face to protect me from the cold air. ppl joked with me a few times that i looked like a terrorist because i was so bundled up. i hate cold. i live at the beach and it's totally better and warmer. check my videos, you may recognize some of the toys and then enjoy the beach videos on a cold day...just sit back and project the video to your big tv set and pretend you're on a warm beach
