Lyricism or clever rhyme scheme is one aspect. Em has had content, but he has lacked it highly over his career. Even that new Venom song blatantly shows that. He may not be able to help it also, because he is not in touch with any ground level aspect of real life and social situations. He is very skillful, but content unequivocally is not a strength if you compare him to any rapper known for content. To me, he is in the lane of Tech9 in lyricism. Both dope but not great in an all-around sense. So many different mc's have strengths to add to the game, but Em gets astronomical acclaim for his in comparison to most black mc's with great contributions through strengths. It isn't fair and equitable but that is the world we live in and has always been that way in my almost 40 years on this planet. Just is what it is til the world changes.
