Hell of a interview. Hell of a story teller. I grew up in his Era so I relate. I have a few stories about Joe and Pun, on Philly side of things, in 90's. Hell of a guy!!
Facts. I feel the same way. The questions were scripted. Every question that was asked was flipped by Joe and made to talk about him self. I've heard stories and seen the documentary on puns life and after watching that documentary, all of puns kids and his wifey at the time said that Joe didn't take care of the fam after pun died. Big pun still gets played till this day. So royalties should be going to puns wife n kids. But that didn't happen. That documentary, the wife and kids said that the went back to the hood in the Bronx. That's crazy. The questions were scripted and he answered them very particularly. And never gave props to the ones who made Joe who he is right now. Nigga talk about 50 more than he did about pun. C'mon bro. This interview got me tight.
Fat Joe, in high school gym class -- "run that shit! take off your hats, coats, timberlands, money, empty your pockets, Now help me carry this shit to the car" 🤣🤣🤣
Here is the issue: Cam Capone gets the best guest but he doesnt have a deep knowledge of hip hop so even though they are good, they could be more conversational. He just ask questions back to back like its from a script. Give these guest to Gully Tv, Doggie Diamonds or anyone who truly knows hip hop.
@52:30" desolute "?!! Isn't it rather desolate? I'm French and I had to look it up. Cuz I had never heard that word. But what I liked about it it's that it rhymes with absolute, loot, shoot, recruit, fruit and a whole type of words ending in uit and oot.
i thought joe was a graffiti artist and terror sqaud was a graffiti crew. I guess he was a big time drug dealer/ gangster during the day and graffiti artist by night. Joe was like a Bronx Bruce Wayne/ batman. I totally believe his stories
Yall gotta be young if yall think fat joe and the whole terror squad wasn't really out here putting in work. They whole crew was feared throughout the bronx.
@@flavaidoo4217 your right Joe was having dinner with big time drug dealers at 12 years old. If I was a drug dealer I would have dinner with a preteen to. good conversations for sure. 😂😂😂😂

Wish you asked less questions about stories he already told multiple times. We gotta find out the ones he HASN'T told yet, ya know? Still good to hear him. We gotta document these legends while they're here.
Most of these stories have already been shared elsewhere so the interviewer isn’t delving into anything new. I watched waiting for some new gems and found it lacking.
All that cultural appropriation talk when it comes to Hip Hop is insane to me. Hip Hop was multi cultural at its inception because New York is such a melting pot and isn't segrated like the rest of the country, it's a world city. So even if you look back at Wild Style and Beat Street it was black, white, Latino and everything else involved from the very beginning so people need to educate themselves. Hip Hop spoke to the disenfranchised youth that has no positive outlook or outlet. That's why so many people all over the world credit Hip Hop with saving their life.
i used to hate Joe/rule/jay/kanye/ross cuz they had beef with 50 and i really digged 50 back in the days, but since ive been listening to joes interviews i regret not listening to his music more, he seems like a real good dude
Amazing interview Joe crack the Don of HIP^HOP and you gave out some of the best game so y'all know that it's tempting to go left but it's the right idea to get into some kind of business but it's going to take a while before the game changes to peace and love around the whole HIP^HOP music and is it to get to the height of where Fat Joe is but he's put in the work he is given back to the community as he says in this interview Cam Capone keep up the whole grind man your a good interviewee and let the people say what they really want to say what they really want is to trying get the young catz to put down the guns and pick up the mic or whatever it is ya'll need to stop killing black on black it doesn't fit in today's game but ya'll got to work that shiiit out for peace and love baby and that is the happy story but it's not so easy for some people 6 to get out the trenches man but you got to try and make yourself successful with something that you like to do and that is the bee all and end all about where you come from but have your own mind on your own respectful journey from the Hood in Scotland to ya'll in America I done it and got out the Hood and if I can do it so can ya'll man Scotty boy it's all from love baby, !!!

I’m from the Bronx and I and heard a lot about fat Joe The one time I moved to Puerto Rico and I came down for a Tito Trinidad fight and I went to the Bronx to pick up my boys, cousin and fat Joe pulled over in about five or 7 escalates and I said to myself oh shit somebody’s gonna get fucking killed and I hope it’s not me when fat Joe came out of one of the Escalade. He looked at me. He said what’s up and I told him what’s up but when I look to my side, my boy wasn’t there, and they screamed out some name. Some guys came down, and they took off with fat Jo
I don't believe Don could have marketed slim shady back then in NY. There wasnt internet . Just my opinion. Would been cool to drive in dons Lamborghini tho to the sub shop for sandwiches.
I rock with Joe but how was you a big time “kingpin” but needed to go ask 2 other kingpins for help for one guy? One of these said kingpins gave you a strap to protect yourself but you had a “bunch of guns” stashed in the projects?? Something dont add up
This is the worst interview of Fat Joe. Joe carried the entire interview. The questions were trash. The reactions to the stories were trash "that's dope", "for sure", "that's wild", "I think this is from your book" etc... This is like watching Fat Joe being interviewed by a high school news reporting class.
