I loved your booklet folder. I saw you make something else out of that green folder, I think. I have plenty of them left over from my file cabinet. I will let you know. Thank you for the share.
That’s such a cute little book. You’re going to have a whole slew of new ideas with some of the new products from the Tim Holtz 2024 Ideology collection.📖🪴
In order to make the typewriter paper appear as if it’s in the typewriter, make a print of the typewriter on clear acetate and cut it out to “mask” the typewriter, than stamp the typewriter paper stamp over the acetate copy which will protect your original stamp of the typewriter. This gives a 3D effect.
This is such a fun project! Thank you for making this video. I tend to overthink everything but during your video I found myself making suggestions at the same time you picked up the same item. I guess there is hope for me. I also hope your cough clears soon and that you feel better.
Hi Susan, I am so happy you enjoyed this project. I hope you give it a try. Thanks for your well wishes too. I appreciate you watching. Have a great weekend
I wonder if this dumb cough is a thing because we're not the only ones. Others have told me the same thing. So weird! I hope you get better too Diana. Thanks for watching
Hi friend!! You always come up with such fun ideas! This would be a great scrapebuster😊. I am so bummed I'm going to miss your journal dangles because I will be at church, But it's OK it'll give others a chance to buy LOL❤
Hi Friend!! I'm telling you we are like twins!! I was totally going to add that to the title of this video "A Scrapbuster"! No worries friend! Special orders are always welcome. :)
Hi Maggie! Have you seen Tim Holtz’s new products? I’m trying to make my way through his 3+ hour video……your gonna be in heaven girl! I’m gonna have to rob a bank 🤣😂. Hope I can watch your videos in the big house 🤣😂. What a great project with the pendaflex folder, soooo cute! I even have those folders! Enjoy your Sunday! 🌻
Hi Karen, I haven't seen it all yet. It's pretty long but so excited to see it. I have a bit of a surprise to share on Monday....hint-hint-wink-wink! :) See you then!!
That is really cute. I think you could use your heat gun to dry your ink so it doesn’t smudge. I have those stamps but haven’t used them yet. Thanks for the ideas.
You’ve knocked it out of the park, again! That’s a clever folio, including all the decorating!! I had covid at the end of March, and still have a cough from it. 😖
Oh, another cool project! I call it a flip-flop journal but I suppose flip-out is more right haha. Love all of the little hidden spots and tuck spots. I have 90% of this stuff. Again, I just need more time, garden is calling right now...
This is very cute. Personally, I find working with that cloth tape to be problematic due to the extreme stickiness which is a good thing on the one hand but not so great when you are trying to place the tape. I'm wondering if cardstock that has been scored to fold would work? I am so glad to have something else to do with these green file folders, so thanks for the idea.
Hi Sharon, I agree with Suzie...you can definitely use cardstock. I shared an example of the paper hinges with the altered playing cards with doors. Works just as well. Thanks for watching
That’s a really cool journal. Nicely done! I always wonder if there are ever any people who see those pictured people and say, “Hey, that was my great, great …”. I always look as closely at them as I can! You may already know this, but if not, for the image like the typewriter and paper, stamp the typewriter on plain paper then fussy cut it out. Apply a removable liquid glue to the backside of the newly stamped image to temporarily secure it onto the image you have stamped on your project. (There are usually instructions on the glues how to make them removable-which is usually to let it air dry a bit.) You may then see your image and apply the second stamp (in this case the sheet of paper) onto your project with the masked image. Voila! If done properly it comes together nicely. The first time I ever tried masking, it was a cat sleeping on a round rug and an old looking milk jar. Unfortunately I masked it wrong and had a cat with a milk jar on its body instead of a jar behind the cat!! I kept the piece. I put red stars all around it and just shake my head when I come across it! I scanned it into a photo and wonder at this moment if I still have the original or just run across the photo?? Anyway a very attractively done project. Even the few smudges and oopsies worked out just fine. Great idea to use the slotted pieces from the hanging file folder the way you did!! TFS❤ Looking forward to seeing the dangles you’re going to show tomorrow.
I've wondered that too about the paper dolls. :) Thanks for the tip Jenn. I will definitely have to give it a try. I really need to learn how to use them together. I appreciate you sharing. Thanks for watching
@@SunsetCrafts You are welcome. Glad I could help. Once I "got it" I did fine with it. Neat that I'm not alone in wondering about the people in the pictures! Oh I think the glue is 2-way glue. Permanent or temporary.
Super cute. You are definitely not alone in losing things that are right in front of you. I once spent three minutes looking for my bra that I had already put on, and no drugs or alcohol were involved. LOL 😆 Enjoyed the video.
Hi Suzie, I should've showed it. It's actually the one I got from Journalsay.com. You get the regular paper trimmer and there are different cutter attachments that you can use on it as well, so I ordered the deckled one too. I really like it. It's like using a ruler and craft knife. Super Cool. Here's the link: www.journalsay.com/products/journalsay-multifunctional-seven-in-one-paper-cutter-multiple-cutter-head-combination-cutters I hope this helps. Thanks for watching Suzie
Hi Francoise, I used paper from two different sets. I mentioned that the one I used for the cover is no longer available. The others are the Tim Holtz Halloween Backdrops. It's linked in the description
Hi Maggie🤗 Ton petit carnet est très "cut"! J aime beaucoup l l'univers qui est le tient, ainsi que les fournitures de chez Tim Holtz, mais cela est trop cher pour moi 🤷 😘✨🍀
Hi Isabel, I completely understand. Some items I use are not as easily accessible in some parts of the world. But as a nice substitute you can probably find similar digitals that you can print off yourself. Just a suggestion. Thanks for watching
Hi Linda, I'm sorry I didn't include them like I said I would. The measurements have been added to the description box of this video. Thanks for watching.
You are so sweet Kathy. Thank you! I am actually looking for one a lot older. The heavy ones without electricity. I appreciate your kindness. Thanks for watching Kathy
Im not going to be too upset she tells herself 😂😂😂 dont should yourself i do it all the time 😢 i actually have green folders like this. But no tim holtz papers. Ill survive😂 covid also caused brain fog which i am always in...its not that im turning 70 on monday...never😂😂😂i love that scorched timber on the green. Not so super simple but i thonk i can handle it. I love it so maggie❤❤❤❤

Hi Deborah, yes I made a trifold with one a while back. Actually in December I believe. But they are a lot of fun to use. Thanks for watching

I'm working on it. LOL! Thanks for watching Laurie
You are so funny. I had my phone in my hand the other day and was so mad I couldn’t find it. Hahaha. I can certainly relate. 😂😂😂
I am so relieved that I am not the only one!! Thanks for watching Sherry

When you talked about looking for your glasses, it made me giggle because I have looked for my phone while talking to some one on my phone. 😂
Yes! That's happened to me too! Lol. Glad it's not just me. Thanks for watching
This is so cute. I too am hoarding my Tim Holtz paper pads. But ill use them eventually.
You're so creative! This turned out very nice and I love it!

@@SunsetCrafts Oh it is, but oh my, the work, acres of it. Flower show the end of July is fun though. I've learned to appreciate Winter!
Cute idea!
Thanks Cathy
Very nice. I like it, it is so different. Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. 🥰💖👍👍👍👍👍(🌹🐞🦂🌵)

Yes, you can always use paper hinges instead of the tape.

Awesome Miss Maggie !! Just ordered green files !!😅🎉❤
You are going to have so much fun with them Carol! Thanks for watching
Fabulous what a great project Maggie. Love Love Love! Where do you live that you have popshelf? In the south some where?
Hi Sue glad you enjoyed this project. I live in GA
Great project Maggie! Can’t wait to make one!

Hi Jenn,
You can also use sticky notes to mask. Gina K also has a really great masking tape that can be re used a few times before having to toss it.
I wonder that about the photos, too. My father’s cousin found her parents’ wedding photo in an antique shop, nowhere near where they lived!
I've wondered that too about the paper dolls. :)
Thanks for the tip Jenn. I will definitely have to give it a try. I really need to learn how to use them together. I appreciate you sharing. Thanks for watching

Hi Maggie, another great idea! Is your deckle edge trimmer a guillotine or a die cut? I’m thinking about getting the guillotine.

Ranger discontinued the 12 x 12 size. You can get it in a smaller size though
Hi Stephanie, if you can tell me where I can find the 8x8 I would appreciate it because I haven't been able to find them anywhere. Thank!
