Welcome to the party, baby Tenno. Really enjoyed seeing the original mission and how much it has changed from 9 years ago or so. Definitely following your adventures here and on Twitch to. Excited to see where your adventures take you.
As a Warframe player for the last ten years, you’re picking up how this game works much faster than most new players I’ve watched! Some responses to things you said throughout: As to the graphics, the game is old, but it’s continuously being updated and improved! As to the blocking, it only blocks forward, so enemies behind you or beside you can still shoot you. As to hacking, some keyboards have a slight delay, so you need to time with your spacebar release, not press.
As someone that grew up in the golden age of gaming. This game took over, I’ve never said “ I LOVE this game” the way I did when playing Warframe. The game is legendary. EDIT: Don’t trust the trading..

To be fair, after watching LegendaryDrops's playthrough and your playthrough, I have to admit - new player experience in the game DOES suck a lot, but at the same time, there is a lot of fun in discovering things you can do. I mean, the movement system itself is something you have to experiment a lot just to get a FEEL how it plays - and even after thousands of hours, you still mastering it, because there are more and more ways for you to be more mobile.
To be fair the "bad guy" "aliens" are humans but millions of years in the future. Infact most of the races in the game are just humans that branched off into different factions through alot of lore that takes a while to explain
As a veteran player for almost 3000 hours my advice is take your time to play and understand the game, no need to rush until you reach The Second Dream quest. You will understand why once you reach there.
There're 2 modes of melee combat. One is ranged centric where you switch between melee and ranged weapons automatically. In this mode, blocking is auto-triggered when you have your melee weapon out. The other is full melee mode where you hold your switch weapon key (default F), which will switch you to melee completely. This is your melee focus mode where block is manual instead of auto and you can more easily perform melee combos without switching to ranged on accident. 51:16 It's the fattiest wagyu in the universe.
Old-ish video, but I’m impressed that you figured out you can bullet jump vertically _and_ as your double jump _in the tutorial!_ Most newbies I watch don’t realize that until several MR later x3
After watching up to day 10 on your twitch uploads, I have a major comment about beginning the game. Most people do NOT read any of the help built into the game. They ignore the info buttons on every screen and especially don't look at the tutorials or mission descriptions. This game is a learn as you go and it's fantastic. I just get frustrated to see people say "i don't want to read that now" then they struggle to figure out or google how to do something. I heard you explain how it's hard to catch on, but if only people would slow down at the beginning and read the tutorials in the codex or the info buttons on almost every screen, they would have a much better time starting off. Other than that, I love watching your journey and discovering how much bigger this game is as you unlock new things.
A lot of it is that I stream at the same time, so I might get unlucky and talk over it. No avoiding that unfortunately, but even accounting for that, the game is extremely vast and most people don't expect to need to have a tutorial on the side to play through a game solo. Even so, enjoying the heck out of it playing my own way, which is the best way to enjoy yourself in any game, and have been highly recommending to to everyone (just maybe with some info on the side to help them along!)
Minor bit of Lore and worldbuilding I often share with newer players: Nearly everything the Orokin (old ruling class of the previous empire) did or made was due to their mastery of Biotechnology. So their towers, ships, and machines are very often "grown" or built with a combination of traditional machine parts and biological components. The people of Cetus live off the Tower you saw. They harvest the "flesh" it is made of for food and then allow it to re-grow and heal while they move on to other parts of the tower. The tower's own AI even encourages this, though even now we know very little about who/what that entity is and the very little we do know will be explained later through story quests so I'll let you discover those details on your own. Welcome to the Origin system Tenno!
It's nice how they teach you how to do the crouch jump, the mega jump, the one where you can't use directional keys until after the jump. It's necessary for one of the Mastery Rank tests later on. I don't recall it ever being taught until this new intro.
As someone who’s played warfame for a long time, the graphics used to not be that good they redid all the graphics a couple years back They even redid a few of the quest and intros

Hey there, youtube algorithm showed me you and I absolutely adore your naivety with the game. Always fun watching a new player start learning the game. At one point you said "I don't know if I'll be into it for the long term." I said that too when I started... 5000+ hours later and I'm still here! 😅 At least reach the "Second Dream" quest, it's like a whole new game after that. 👍
I don't know if anyone told you but DON'T do _The Duviri Paradox_ quest until very later on, specifically only after playing the _Angels of the Zariman_ quest. Any other quests you can just play as they get unlocked.
50:35 That's amazing that, 1 minute after seeing this for the first time, you already figured out that this is indeed wall flesh. I'd argue that most people never realized this. Even some veterans
I've been playing WF off and on for years now, this game has so much to it, honestly just play the game and have fun its amazing 4:13 they actually revamped the intro sequence when Duviri came out, so that whole tutorial section is actually less than 2 years old
This game has a somewhat exponent growing curve. It's a hard game until some point you finish the puzzle, and than you will be able to nuke most quests quickly. Which will take hundreds of hours or even thousand. Playing with friend actually make this much easier as they could just bring to to skip the fights. For exponent, I mean actual exponent. Weapons can have damage range from hundreds to millions depends on the confoguration, which is an insane diffrence.
I've currently finished second dream so past that I believe. Videos on the way just takes a bit to cut them down and upload them, thumbnails etc (enjoying playing the game too much so my editing time is limited!)
Hey I'm a veteran of the game since... 2016 i believe? Anyway here is some weird advice around the game to make you feel welcome: First warframe is by its very nature a grindy game, it has a great deal of content and as such you should take your time with it. sometime you will burn out, for weeks, months and maybe even years. DE knows this, their entire strategy is to entice pre-existing players to come back instead of trying to get new players. But this is also all to say, take breaks! A good way to get weapon and warframe slots is by getting twitch drops, these can have spoilers so just mute tabs and while "watching" the stream. If DE and company are giving a weapon or warframe that means you'll get the respective slot with it. Every anniversary inevitably gives away a bunch of Dex weapons which also gives lots. (This happens once per year) (also Tennocon always gives a Prime frame which is fun) I have other stuff I suppose but honestly it's for later stuff, I really hope you enjoy your time with the game and the wider warframe community? It's very welcoming to people from all stripes of life, which is part of why I love it. Enjoy!
The current state of the system is the product of the great old war in which the ancient humans collapsed and the proto humans are now the different factions. The warframe lore is immaculate.
Welcome to Warframe! I know it can be confusing at times but plz bear with it, it is a fun game and the quest and stories are very interesting… and also a bit confusing 😅
Welcome to this epic journey, if you need anything do not worry to reach to me. LISTEN to what they say, dialogues and quests makes important part of understanding the story. Pay attention to it. EDIT: Great you started as Excalibur Although this game is 10+ years it still gets updated and worked on every day... I remember that my tutorial was way different tile set, and it is cool to see what they did with the game in those years
You'll always be building off of what you know. Take it one system at a time. Thats part of what makes it so compelling. It can be frustrating for sure.
Omg don't worry, 2 years and still figuring out some of the mechanics of this game,I'm still bb😅, and just when you thought you finally mastered it, the game surprises you in unexpected ways 😂 so take your time, there's a LOT the game doesn't explain, but it's fun figuring out by ourselves, also the lore is one of the best out there, ngl main reason I'm still playing, have fun!
Don't feel bad. Every secret is like a layer of an onion. each layer of secrets make you go AH now that makes sense.... then oh shit. There are things that happen that make no sense until you play that story then everything takes on new meanings. Its what keeps the game fresh. I almost want to start a new account just to replay the story missions over again. after playing for so many years some of the story gets lost.
23 minutes into the video and this reminds me of my first player experience, goddamned security puzzles. If you are still having trouble with this, the key is to time it earlier than expected.
@@dimp1y Don't worry. You are doing pretty well for your first, blind play through warframe. If you want help, I'd be happy to do so, whether through tips and tricks or joining in squad and talking to you.
@@elementall3623 appreciate the offer! getting lots of tips on stream from people though, basically been carried through by their tips to be honest so managing it solo so far 🤞
@@dimp1y Well, I'm glad you are getting lots of help. This game is absolutely massive, so there are lots more to learn about this game. Honestly, biggest tip I can give right now is that, unlike what games most games do, warframe takes "free movement" and expands it to it's limits. You can dodge mid-air, you can cancel heavy landing animations by sliding or dodging, and you can slide mid-air. The application of these combinations allow for a speedy traversal through any map, even allowing for very effective hit-and-run tactics. Why it works is pretty important, so you know how to apply it to other movement techs: dodging "adds" velocity in the direction you dodge in, so bullet-jump -> dodge left = left diagonal. Bullet Jump + Dodge Straight = Momentum x2. Sliding does the same thing, but also reduces friction, making it great for maintaining all that speed you had built. Aim Glide with it to increase the time you have the most reduced friction to make the most of that speed. This may not be as much as a tip as much as it is a lecture, but I could probably make a 2-semester course at University about the systems of Warframe lol. This second tip is simple enough at least: Crit and Status are both good contenders for each other right now, so the best way to modify a weapon is not to round it out, but to mod for the highest values on the weapon. If you go for a Status build, you don't need to be a master of all, just note the different elemental effects and choose the ones you would like most. This third tip refers to modding warframes. Health vs Shields: go for the highest value, or, if they tie, I recommend Health, as it becomes more useful than having more shields, especially since some enemies bypass Shields entirely. For ability attributes, the strength, duration, etc. This is more of a feel thing, so don't feel pressured to know how each one functions. Mainly check for what affects what and what affects more abilities positively or negatively. Luckily, this is generally easier than modding for a Destiny 2 Build, as the game can tell you pretty quickly if a thing is worth it or helps you scale higher. Sorry for the big number of paragraphs, I realize that this is becoming an entire 2-hour lecture lol.
Wow, have not seen the beginning of WF for such a long time. I started playing in lockdown and am now at MR30. It’s evolved so much since I started. There’s so much to do and you have such a long way to go. Join a clan and start building frames.

I have to wonder if any new player in the history of the game has seen (much less pressed) the TUTORIAL button down at the bottom of most of these screens. 😅
Ah...another new Tenno thinking Warframe is..."old" 😑😑 Warframe is basically "new" by the way DE updates and upgrades engines and systems within the game. Welcome Guardian refugee Tenno. 15k hour veteran here...who ironically came over in the early days of D1. Warframe is a lot more about the rule of cool and rule of fun as you noticed. As a Tenno who also changes their button configs, one of the best tips I can give you is to SAVE pics or whatever you need to for your button configs. once every couple years with these major system overhauls or engine updates, things must be reset. So always have your configs saved to come back to. Enjoy your opening experience, and hope you'll come again!
Calling for steel path is stupid. You cannot say "Oh this game is slightly more challenging after you finish whole game, which is around 200 ours". No, the correct response for "this game is to easy" is "you are literally in tutorial mission, on first planet that exist mainly to learn you basics how to play, and if you wanna feel a thrill then go to first city on earth, finish their tutorial mission, go to the main guy, pick bounty lvl 2(out of 6), and you die imidiently. And bonus round. If you go there at night you can meet world boss that can be hurt only with special weapon and can insta kill you with autoaiming attack".

it's in settings/control and then at the top there's an option to 'change keybinds' or something which opens a new window with all the option. Can change just about everything in there (had to be directed to this as well)
even for pc players i would recommend to attach a ps/xbox controller for a better experience wile playing since the controlls are more pratical (speaking for experience when i was trying to do a bulletjump in the pc it was a nightmare for real !!!! But with de ps controler was way more easy) Btw did u get the ax-52 and the Saryn Prime drop from tenocom 2024???

I've been playing WF off and on for years now, this game has so much to it, honestly just play the game and have fun its amazing
4:13 they actually revamped the intro sequence when Duviri came out, so that whole tutorial section is actually less than 2 years old
After 2000 hours I can confidently say that Warframe STILL makes me feel dumb at times.
I've started playing the game 6 years ago and its kinda crazy to see that the new player experience is still as confusing as it was back then
1:00:20 you abandoned the objective by getting too far, you need to start the quest again in the city
Ignores all text boxes in the tutorial: "This game makes me feel dumb"
please stick with this game at least until the quest "natah" . once you get there. the story really starts. and its so worth it
I've currently finished second dream so past that I believe. Videos on the way just takes a bit to cut them down and upload them, thumbnails etc (enjoying playing the game too much so my editing time is limited!)
@@dimp1y omg yayy im glad you've reached the second dream!
@@dimp1y have you joined a clan yet? you can get lots of helpful things from the research labs. including lots of weapons and frames
Hey I'm a veteran of the game since... 2016 i believe? Anyway here is some weird advice around the game to make you feel welcome:
First warframe is by its very nature a grindy game, it has a great deal of content and as such you should take your time with it. sometime you will burn out, for weeks, months and maybe even years.
(This happens once per year) (also Tennocon always gives a Prime frame which is fun)
I have other stuff I suppose but honestly it's for later stuff, I really hope you enjoy your time with the game and the wider warframe community? It's very welcoming to people from all stripes of life, which is part of why I love it. Enjoy!
once you get into it this game is the most addictive thing I've ever played
The current state of the system is the product of the great old war in which the ancient humans collapsed and the proto humans are now the different factions. The warframe lore is immaculate.
The choice of bow
Another new Tenno! Welcome to the good fight!
Excalibur Gang! Welcome to Warframe, Tenno!!
Little further into the video
"I'm just going to choose whoever looks cool" is exactly the way to go with Warframe.
Welcome to Warframe! I know it can be confusing at times but plz bear with it, it is a fun game and the quest and stories are very interesting… and also a bit confusing 😅
47:18 "eleven hours?" 😂😂😂 I feel u bro welcome to craftframe
just wait till I realise it takes 72 hours to do a single warframe... (not including parts)🤪
that's enough screaming at the screen, welcome to tennohood.
I also started this game a few weeks ago.
Skrub 😂
Welcome to this epic journey, if you need anything do not worry to reach to me.
LISTEN to what they say, dialogues and quests makes important part of understanding the story. Pay attention to it.
EDIT:
Great you started as Excalibur
Although this game is 10+ years it still gets updated and worked on every day... I remember that my tutorial was way different tile set, and it is cool to see what they did with the game in those years
Funny enough that is one of the biggest complaint that the early game enemies feel too easy. I think they’ve updated it recently but I’m not sure
"This game make me feel dumb"
Said the person who finished the tutorial the fastest I've seen
this makes me feel better thank you
This game is sick. I like your style and I sub for both 😂
Don't feel bad. Every secret is like a layer of an onion. each layer of secrets make you go AH now that makes sense.... then oh shit. There are things that happen that make no sense until you play that story then everything takes on new meanings. Its what keeps the game fresh. I almost want to start a new account just to replay the story missions over again. after playing for so many years some of the story gets lost.
can't wait till she gets to the mastery test where it's nothing but solving like 5 locks in 2 min.
it was an experience for sure
Played from Closed beta, such a good game.
You can find a lot of warframe tutorials on YT, where to farm a certain item, etc.
1.800+ and i still feel dumb... , Welcome to WF
this was so much fun 😁
welcome to warframe
Wow the starting i remembered was a whole lot different 😂
23 minutes into the video and this reminds me of my first player experience, goddamned security puzzles. If you are still having trouble with this, the key is to time it earlier than expected.
I'm slowly getting there...
Sorry for the big number of paragraphs, I realize that this is becoming an entire 2-hour lecture lol.
tenno we need to band together and make a petition for DE to revamp the tutorial so that new players wont have a hard time
Wow, have not seen the beginning of WF for such a long time. I started playing in lockdown and am now at MR30. It’s evolved so much since I started. There’s so much to do and you have such a long way to go. Join a clan and start building frames.
Love seeing new players! Deffo not me getting annoyed at people picking Excalibur and not getting the sword though... Lol I kid its fine, the 10 percent passive boost isn't that great anyhow.
I know youre alredy on ep 26 of this series but If it helps, I felt dumb for about 8 years, it took that long for Warframe to click... That being said, I am reconsidering downloading a browser purely dedicated to game info cause ITS A LOT, THERES SO MUCH
im a thousnad hours in and it still makes me feel dumb, dont worry
This game was very hard and confusing for me at beginning of everything. But we managed to come a long way 😊😅
U probably won't stop playing, lol. Nothing else feels like Warframe to play. U can and should customize all of your stuff. Change your bindings asap. U don't want to get too used to the weird ones.
Crash corse in the orokin
Everything is alive even when it shouldent be... as its all made of living flesh underneath inorganic housing... its kinda a mish-mash of organinc and inorganic matter that also lives... its why you would find everything has its own mind and soul nomater its form or purposes
This game kinda shows how much basic gamers notice stuff happening on their screen.
Good example how much she didn't notice.
you are going to love the story....once you get to it
Welcome to the game, i hope you will enjoy it :)
ty! it's been really great so far
not here to jugde i sucked to begin with but the controls where described on the screen you just didnt read them
oh I know, somehow totally missed them in the moment (finding that a lot tbh)
I have to wonder if any new player in the history of the game has seen (much less pressed) the TUTORIAL button down at the bottom of most of these screens. 😅
now where would the fun be in that 😅
Ah...another new Tenno thinking Warframe is..."old" 😑😑 Warframe is basically "new" by the way DE updates and upgrades engines and systems within the game.
The game looks this good cuz get updates, before was bad, you can see videos how it was
Calling for steel path is stupid. If you go there at night you can meet world boss that can be hurt only with special weapon and can insta kill you with autoaiming attack".
can i just ask why did you not include the cinematic?
Unfortunately I had to load the game up first to make sure the audio settings were okay and wasn't sure how to replay it when I started recording
2:00 LOL, almost none of that is true, but you'll see :)
My rule is if I don't have to fight I won't just get to the objectives😅
funny thing I installed game today tried it thught that it was mostly controler based stopped playing went to youtube this video shows up and right away you pressed x top pick up weapon whic h ididnt think ithought that it was x on a controller ( I hate controler I get hand cramps lol)
but i agree the key binding is messed up I am used to having my own keybinds and am not sure if ican actually changhe them maybe ther is an .ini file I can play around with but then if ido find one and change it will it get me banned from game also I am not a multiplayer type person I am solo so I may not get to afar playing this lol but thanks for the help i will be watching your other vids on this game and maybe others you may be playing
it's in settings/control and then at the top there's an option to 'change keybinds' or something which opens a new window with all the option. Can change just about everything in there (had to be directed to this as well)
@@dimp1y thank you will check it out the bindings for default are funky to me
good luck
wth you look so familiar but I cannot for the life of me tell why
even for pc players i would recommend to attach a ps/xbox controller for a better experience wile playing since the controlls are more pratical (speaking for experience when i was trying to do a bulletjump in the pc it was a nightmare for real !!!! But with de ps controler was way more easy)
Btw did u get the ax-52 and the Saryn Prime drop from tenocom 2024???
I did indeed! my first prime
@@dimp1y Let's goooooooooo!!!!!!!!!
Hope to see u using Saryn Prime in the nexts videos and the Ax-52 as well (great weapon btw)
girl it makes sense cause you keep ignoring the explanations on the screen
As someone who has 900+ hours into this game I personally recommend playing on a controller. Gl tenno!
I don't think I'd know what to do with one after these years on mnk unfortunately!
Welcome Tenno! Always love seeing new players experience the vast universe of Warframe 😊🫶 It is a lot of confusing stuff at first, but it’ll make sense as you play. The story is so unique, rewarding, and incredibly beautiful. My one bit of advice is when you feel lost, just follow the blinking star chart missions to unlock more planets to explore. Do story quests and have fun! 🙂↕️🤩🙌
@dimp1y
"modding can seem a taaaaaaad overwhelming bit it will make sense"
It never will
35:43 Can we get much higher, so highhhhh
