@@Marksmen17 ehhh kinda good. It both spells and incants. You can have a seal on the other hand that boost your incants stats. Not sure about spells. But this is a yes for me

"ITS NOT GOOD BECAUSE ITS NOT OPTIMAL SCALING" is literally all ive been seeing and its exhausting. This is one of the coolest pieces of gear for casters and makes an 80/80 caster feel so much better.
Well, I would agree... If the best 80/80 seal wasnt 0 weight.. So it is a non issue to have it in your left hand and a staff in your right. Tbh if the scaling on this was around 380-390 id consider it, but its 355 or something like that, which is just too much lower than the seal which is 391 and the staff which is 433.
@@IntertwiningRosesI think the point went right over your head. It’s not about how strong the weapon makes you, it’s about how nice it feels to use. I paired mine with a thrusting shield and did just fine against Mesmer. If anything nerfing your scaling just means you have to buff your actual skills.
@@townieofthenorth No, it didnt go over my head. It takes like half a second to switch to a staff or seal... The argument you're making is invalid since if you want to cast a spell, youll be taking time anyways, might as well use the best option.
Especially since the staff is just straight crap vs the prince of death and golden order seal options.
Sounds like there's more skill in knowing when you can pull put the better staff/seal for scaling Which btw nice job trying to sound superior and failing, since people can play whatever way they want, but I can personally like having legitimately better stuff equipped lolol

The first guy said "this makes 80/80 casters feel so much better" to which you answered (and still are answering) with how the best seal weights 0 and has better rates and how switching from staff to seal isnt that hard. I dont think my comment will make you realize this since you didnt realize it yourself already but making something feel better has literally nothing related to scalings or damage, also actually the first comment also said "it looks so cool" which again has nothing to do with rates, scalings etc. Cheers.

I need it, I’m a magic melee user. This is the perfect staff for me.
This is very good and also I would suggest to you the carian sorcery sword from the dlc, it is a sword/staff. Use it as a sword and cast spells!

I imagined something like that before the dlc came out, it was a regular long sword with refined metal carian aesthetic but the blade part had an area an inch above the hilt and guard, it was an indentation curving inward for ease of grip and the hilt would act as a power crystal to channel magic. You would hold the sword upside down with the end of the blade pointing down.
@@CamelxRavenNova2 that does sound super cool and I do want to warn you that some people are saying the scaling is glitched out on the staff sword so as of right now I guess it’s a weaker than it’s supposed to be. But as a sword, it doesn’t seem too bad it’s a thrusting sword.
@@Nostalgic_Lewis so I’ve read somewhat. People say the scaling for the Prince of death and golden order seal are better which is what I currently use. I’ll jump into the dlc as soon as I’m able to after moving.

Don't need that extra negative damage reduction in the dlc with the amount of damage the enemies do😂
In raya lucaria theres a talisman that boost magic damage? It's always there to pick up behind an ilussion wall

As one who weilded a sword of night and flame on my right hand and staff/seal on the left, this is absolutely perfect for me
As a magic lawd I can tell this is trashed. The reason is because the death staff still tops this and many seals also scale more with better passive. This dint have any passive boost. Like u see how u like those cure purple rocks? Well if u had the death staff and the cute little staff eith the gravity boost u would get more hit powers even with ur cute mewtwo purple ball attack it will boost that. This staff would have been better for thr base game on the beginning for those whose trying to build but once u have a build already it's best to keep that build.
Everyone going on about scaling, you’d rather mid max and do the best damage magic wise rather than be a baddass faith/mage hybrid throwing any and all spells and incantations at the gods?

That's what we were waiting for. Unfortunately... aesthetically I prefer seals over staffs so I also wanna see a seal able to cast sorcery. But besides that - it's the greatest catalyst in the whole game, no doubt.

No way that's things a bell that's a horn stop the cap
That questline was tight. Rewards are so worth it for the pain you go through 😂. Just make sure you know which reward you want from a certain NPC at the end when you talk to them, you can get the cool looking black katana when you hand over the Iris of Occultation or the spirit summon with the Iris of Grace (I accidentally used Iris of Grace first because it was the only one I had and thought it was the only option before I saw a guide on it, but I'll get the sword in second playthrough).
@@phuckerpoweron the plus side, the ash leads to one of the best ashes of war in the entire game right up there with mimic, tear and Tich. Maybe better..

I love the idea but I don’t see myself moving away from prince staff & order talisman, will check the difference though so maybe
the main problem with this game is that if you wanted to do this without a staff you could only use certain spells, most glint magic has an animation that is tied to using a staff so not using a staff looks stupid smh, I really cant believe they seperated casting animations like that but then offer something like this..
The scaling and dual stat requirements may be hard for pure faith or intelligence builds but if you have both it's literally amazing you become the perfect mage.

With this staff you can take any spell from any caster build that’s The Good One™️ and use them all at once
I like the concept but it looks goofy casting incants
Too bad the staff had like 350 scaling at 80 int AND 80 faith while the carian royal staff has 373 at 80int. I see this as more as a support staff for a int/faith spellsword.
You lose 23, but gain access to simultaneously having every spell in the game available to you.
If all you care about is having the highest possible damage output, it's not for you. But on the other hand, it can literally do *everything* in a single item.
@@ASNS117Zero Did you read what I write? You don't just "lose 23" you need an additional 80 stat investment. For pvp purposes I like to stay around the 150 mark (and I dont like being overleveled). It's not that I just "care about damage". At 45/45 the scaling is like 304 which is a 70 scaling loss.

@@chasegreaser1166 The logic? What are you even talking about? There are brackets in the game and people with similar levels get paired up, it's a game mechanic. The higher the level the more you encounter people with builds that have things like moonlight katana and "havel" armor.
I'll never understand people that don't use their brains.

The FTH/INT enjoyers are eating this DLC.
Misses the entire point of having the right catalyst and staff.
The main remembrance fight of the quest line is pretty hard and has bs moves, I had to use blasphemous blade for the health regen
I also had to pull out the ol' dual grossmesser bleed build, murdered Mrs. Hands real fast
It actually has good scaling too for 9nce

@@paulogo3482stat scaling will maybe get it to 200 but the +10 on this is barely as good as a +0 for prince of death’s staff or golden order seal

@@paulogo3482 I hope so but I'm not sure, I think maybe fromsoft overtuned it to be much weaker on purpose because of the ability to use both incants and spells

Sadly one of the worst dissapointments of the DLC and it is a rememberance weapon no less ... absolutely sad ... It gets outscalled by PoD and Regal Scepter and GoS so massively that using this for merely the purpose of "Well im a very special child and i cant press 1 button to switch between seal and staff hahahahahahweaHEHAWFRSAW" is kind of underwhelming ... and u cant even put an AoW on it if u so desired ..................... please someone tell me a singular good thing about this staff ... i want it to be good so much ...
