Thanks for posting. I'm scheduled Rome-Montreal in a few months. No pre-meal crackers/pretzels. Not even a little piece of packaged cheese in the main meal. I'll make sure to bring some of my own snacks on board.

Very comfortable. The wall does affect comfort at all. You can still recline the same amount as any other seat. I would never normally recline if there was someone sat behind me anyway so it was probably more comfortable than a normal seat. Plus the fact nobody is behind you is very private

You certainly don't fly for the food.
Those hot entrees are really just glorified Lean Stouffer's entrees. They're produced en masse - in this case probably in Alzey - not terribly far from the Frankfurt airport - and then just reheated in convection ovens. I remember watching a video where they visited the factory that makes these.
Still haven't figured out where the ones you get departing Canada are made, but any of the hot entrees out of Europe are typically the same no matter where you depart from. Some of the sides might be different depending on where you're departing from.
