Genuinely one of my favorite knives, carry one almost every day, and with the same blades as you. I prefer it over the EAB Lite, which just has less of a subtle appearance, looks very much like a tool, very industrial. In comparison, I actually think the original looks kinda classy when closed up, almost like a sleek lighter. It is small, but I still find it quite easy to one hand open; I hear others complain about the action and add a longer screw to use as a thumb stud. I don't see the point, I think it's perfect. When opening, I place my ring and middle finger on the clip, pinch with my pinky on the opposite side, and use the meat of my thumb on the factory screw to open it. I believe the copper is kind of like a primer for metal plating. It's on the body of the knife too, but the plating on the steel clip flakes off much easier and exposes the thin copper layer.
Awesome review I’ve had mine for over 20 years bought it at Walmart for only six bucks still going strong in 2024. It’s been used in the food service industry for all 20 years. I’ve had other brands along side the Gerber but none have lasted.
I love these and the ones workpro and mossy oak put out. Perfect for any pocket or compartment, however I recently got an Otacle UI and it immediately became my edc.
Been using mine every day at work for like twelve years. Thing is awesome. Don't even know it's in your pocket. Clip broke a long time ago. Don't care.
Fun fact the EAB lite is bigger and heavier even though they market it as lite. In my opinion the original EAB is one of the few good offerings from Gerber, most of there stuff is very disappointing.poorly thought out & poorly made.

WorkPro has a similar version, significantly lighter too. Tool-less blade exchange is a nice bonus. They just released a button lock version recently.
I used one of those Gerber for yrs Concrete construction. Kinda hurt fingers sometimes. Still have it.
Hey, opinel! One of my top favs!
You know they make replacement blades for those.
If I review a tool that’s clean I get accused of not using it enough. There’s just no winning here.

Had one and lost it, surprisingly enough this little fellow was very great

Love stuff like this. Saves waste
Gotta love a tool that embraces standards. Always cuts like new.
Just bought one. I’ve broken 2 pocket clips in 2 weeks on much more expensive knives. This one won’t hurt my wallet if it happens to it
It is not aluminum , it has a metal cladding on a ferrous base metal .
It's not aluminum, it's stainless.
You are correct...it is stainless steel...stick a magnet to it...I have 3 of these...love them.
