When I was a child I lent my dad my favourite record to play over the public address system at the church garden fete. Somebody stole it. That was the first of many times that Life tried to teach me a lesson I still haven’t learnt, that no good deed goes unpunished.
I'm from back then and there are still nice people now, but it was nicer then. It was much safer to be a teenager then and the job prospects were much better for working class kids than they are now.
