Eastbourne looks nothing like that now, just a dilapidated, neglected shell of a former self. The country can't afford to maintain it's own pride because of the expense of foreign invaders over too many decades. We should have shut them out when we had the opportunity. This country is nothing any more, and the majority of its citizens are weak and care for nothing that would bring value to society.

This has made me happy but very sad at the same time, outsider's and fools have ruined our beautiful land RIP great Britain 😢

I was a small child in the 60s.a baby boomer better times without a doubt wish I could go back.

Kids would go out and play in the snow, come back in the house, with cold hands as the woolly gloves were wet through throwing snowballs, and would be put in front of the fire to dry off, and get warm, then when we were, we went straight back out playing again. People had such a positive attitude back then to never give up and find a way, of getting to school or the shops, I strongly feel was probably driven by war efforts, and thankfully my parents passed that on to me.. I wouldn`t have had it any other way, it was hard at times, but we made do, and planned a bit more, and pulled through..these days an inch of snow, schools close, roads closed, trains cancelled..the easy way out.I am so glad I grew up in the 50/60s, 62/63 winter seemed to g on forever...but we coped..this film just brings back family way of life at Christmas, and how we coped..

Uckuelet, to port alberni I remember my driving out to see those fires , it was safe we drove right past them long time ago ..

I was born in 1950 and I miss the late 50s and especially the 60s, life was so much simpler then and people weren’t so easily offended and finicky.

It was an innocent generation with some problems, but compared to this present time it was much fewer in its problems, today you can multiply the problems 100x compared to the 60s

Wow, loved that! Trying to date it....A couple of the car registrations are from 1960, Sussex area, but the Zephyr? Mk3 didn't come out until 1962 so it may be bits of different old films spliced together. Who cares though ? Fantastic memories.

The seeds of treachery and betrayal had already been sown, even in the 1960's. Today, we see their fruitage. What a fruitage; what a betrayal.

We had an innocent society with no woke, foreign influence, we had openness with each other without the fear of being reported, we were not offended as easily as today, police were even handed, we were not as negative toward Government. The country has changed beyond recognition.

This is the era I grew up in, innocent and loving life. 76 now and miss many of my old friends and family who are no longer with us.

No litter in sigh, My mate and I used to go to Queens Garden Fountain on a night , when it was a roundabout to see custom cars used to meet up there , I particularly remember a Black Capri called Chantilly lace, with obviously a lace pattern on it , an MGB GT in Metal flake black . Those were the days .

I'm a little confused. The Film shows a BOAC VC10 but they were not taken on by BOAC until 1964. The first VC10 flight was June 1962. Not complaining, just confused. I joined the RAF in late 62 so it was all good to see!

I went to 3 Tattoos at Greenham as a small boy with my family . By a strange quirk of fate (and the GPS getting confused) I ended up coming back from RIAT 24 to south London via the main gate at Greenham Common! It’s returned to common land now but I can’t bring myself to go in there , I want to keep my memories as they are . On a lighter note , it’s amazing the aircraft from that 1977 display that were involved in the latest RIAT either flying or static including the B52, Eagle , Hunter , Grumman Tracker , Tornado plus others . Many thanks for posting this up, if it hadn’t been for my mad excursion I wouldn’t have had the inspiration to search !😂
