Great video. Thanks to your Lightroom mobile tips, I am using my iPad Mini with pencil more and more. Hadn't realized before how powerful it actually was. Thank you so much.
I love seeing these kinda of responses, because I truly am on a mission to show people just how powerful and capable Lightroom is on mobile devices. Thanks for watching, Alan!
Interesting. I did see the early access this last release and clicked it on. I like it. But I’m not much for editing on my phone. But, but saying that will give it more of a try. Thanks
I also have access to this on my Pixel Tablet, Pixel 7 Pro, my Galaxy Tab S8+ and My Galaxy S23U. It hasn't come to my iPad Pro yet but I do have access on my iPhone 13 Pro. Great video by the way.
thank you Brian - a bit of an ignorant question - do we automatically have access to our photos that we uploaded, let's say on our computer to LR desktop, on our phone? how do we sync across mobile and desktop or is it done automatically? thank you
Not ignorant at all! In fact, that's exactly why I'm creating my new Lightroom Everywhere course (link in the description above). And I'm happy to answer your question: if you add a photo to Lightroom (not Classic), regardless of which device it is-desktop or mobile-it will *automatically* sync that original file AND all edits you make to the cloud and make itself available on every other device. You can pause syncing in Lightroom, but aside from that it is all automatic. There is a way to sync photos from Classic to Adobe Cloud, but it won't be the full-res original file. It'll only be a smart preview.
thank you so much Brian - i have a really busy period coming up but i will take a look at your course. I enjoy your channel and i enjoy your delivery style@@brianmatiash
How much is Lr Mobile on iOS? I pay $5mo/$50yr on Android. Still deciding on either an iPad Air or Galaxy Tab S8+. Not sure if there's a huge price difference.
I really like Lightroom Mobile but the one thing that’s always bothered me, that I’m not sure they can do anything about, is sometimes I want to make edits that require more precision than I can physically do because my fingers are too fat lol.
Ha! I know exactly what you mean. It’s not that bad if I’m making global slider adjustments. But if I’m making localized masking adjustments, it helps if I first pinch to zoom on an area. Then, I can use my finger (or Apple Pencil on the iPad) to make more “precise” masks.
That’s awesome! Adobe has had different items in the early access section before, but none were as impactful as the new editing mode. I’m thrilled that you found the video useful!
Unfortunately, it looks like editing while holding the iPhone horizontally isn’t possible and I appreciate you bringing this up because I totally forgot to include that. I did submit feedback to Adobe about this. Either it’s a regression that they’ll fix with an update, or they decided that horizontal editing isn’t a good experience. In either case, I’m not a fan of that feature being removed.
Thanks, Reid! As for the copyright year... that indicates the year of first publication. The image I showed in the video was created and published in 2016, so it's correct. You don't need to update that year unless you've made non-trivial changes to the published work. But thanks for the concern!
@@brianmatiash because it used to be a single button switch between each state, so I could look at a photo, see if it was editable into something I liked and then rate it in the culling process, or during the second stage culling, I could do any further edits and then flag yay/nay for the final set. Now it’s multiple steps one way and back again. Therefore it’s not smooth, it’s slow, clunky and fundamentally unusable… for some fisher price usability tweaks…
Thank you sooooo muchhhh ❤❤.

Thanks. I use the mobile LR and didn’t know about this. Cool.
You’re welcome!
Am loving the Lightroom Mobile, I can edit on the fly and share with my friends. Thanks Brian for another cool tutorial .
You’re very welcome!

@@brianmatiash I just gave the update a try and I like it. If it weren’t for you, I’d never had known about it. Thanks!

Can you edit in landscape view. I don't see the edit tools in landscape?

Good info. Brian, time to update your metadata. You show a copywrite date of 2016!

Did they include ai in the mobile version as well? Like they did i lightroom classic ?
Lightroom Mobile has adaptive masks and AI search functionality. It does not yet have Denoise AI, though.
@@brianmatiash Thank you for answering.. have a nice day😀👍👍
How can I get in touch with you? need your guidance with a picture editing settings.
It was great until they made it basically unusable as far as being able to switch between edit and rating…
How is it unusable? You can access the ratings mode by tapping on the ellipse and then “Info and rating.” That seems pretty usable to me.
