in addition to the reply you got above, Posit just released an IDE called Positron based on Code-OSS that is meant to be multilingual (R and Python for now). Positron is like a fork of vscode.

wait, i don't have to switch to r to use shiny? does it have all the features that shiny has in r?
Can you share the final code? In the github there are just the data file. I would like to see how you organize the code.
