Also when she messes up something ( I have seen once totally minor but it was funny) she said " You see I can screw up too" 😀. I fully agree with all that above and she has excellent taste in fabrics and patterns and combinations! ` I will need to find that charity or something similar here in Italy
Jen this item would be a lovely gift to elderly and young in nursing homes and convalescent homes. Their family or friends could leave 'love notes' for them. I love this darling project.
What a fun project. My granddaughter saw the video with me and is excited to start. The pocket prayer quilts are wonderful and have given many out already so this will be great! Thank you for another wonderful tutorial! 🥰
Wow! Wonderful and cute idea!!!!! I will check if there is a place here in Germany that would like to have some of them and then I will make some. I know how important it is to hear someone say "You are loved" or "you are special". I will try to make one with a zipper (or other closure) and a round pillow form, so that the bug can be washed easier (after it has been loved for a while). Thank you Shabby Fabrics!
Amazing tutorials! As always. If I am doing something around the house or another project I love to have your tutorials playing in the background. I can peek occasionally how you do things and gives me an idea for next time…. 😊
I think this is so adorable!! I have one almost finished. One thing I did was cut out 2 circles, a little smaller than the “bug”, of one sided adhesive thin batting. I put them fleece side together inside the body and pressed so they adhered to the inside front and back. I thought it might make the stuffing smoother. I hope this makes sense 😊 ♥️
So, so, cute!!! I think putting a pocket prayer in one of the pockets is awesome, I think attaching a piece of ribbon to the pocket prayer and then to the inside of the pocket would be a good idea so it’s it doesn’t get lost.
That is such a wonderful idea! I will definitely contact the gals ! I will also ask for your pattern! Thank you so much! Your an inspiration and helpful to so many! Big hugs!

@@ShabbyFabrics Hi Michele I don't know what I was thinking when I asked for the brochure. Clearly I wasn't thinking. U went to your website after posting and bought the brochure and fabric. Thank you so much. I think it's a wonderful mission and such a sweet pillow. Thank you for replying. Have a blessed day. 😊❤
Love this! I’m part of a local non profit Christian pregnancy crisis centre. May do some for the kids that come in. Would love some ideas on what could be put in the pocket. I struggle with the design and print stuff. Thankyou for the project idea❤️
I have two round pillows forms that I've been waiting to do something with. Question: how can I make this into a slip on/off cover for washing? Btw, I work for a health and human service agency and I think that is pillow project is a great idea! I think that children (regardless of age) that are removed from traumatic situations would need something to hug and hold onto, and this is a great idea for that!
Did you back stitch to reinforce where the rick-rack legs are? I know kids love to pull on the legs and I’d be afraid of it coming apart from the stress on those stitches. Love this little love bug ❤️❤️
@Erna You can get the Free pattern here: my.modafabrics.com/webfiles/fp_LoveBug.pdf or we can send you the printed pattern here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/Love-Bug-Pattern-P113778.aspx -Michelle
I suppose using double fat quarters saves you from having to do turned over and sewn edges but it’s a lot of fabric that you could actually almost make two bugs from. I’d have to have 6 legs 🤣 very cute
I made similar pillows years ago, but not with the pockets, this is a cute idea! Does Shabby Fabrics sell the giant Rick-Rack? And I could be wrong, but don't bugs have 6 legs? Fun pattern none-the-less! 🤪🐞
Could you actually give me the actual size of your fabric. I have found a lot of fabric fat quarters seem to be different size. I made 1 with flannel but I think the cotton would lay better. My granddaughter will like my first attempt.I did get pattern, with a donation, from creativeshell
