Thanks Steve. Just fitted these to my xc40. Bit confused as to how loose the screws should be on the roof bars, if fitted to 5nm (e.g only hand tight). Should I not overtighten them, even if it means the screw is not flush to silver ring?

just by hand is enough, it won't go anywhere.
