You could do Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs and Garden of the Gods in one awesome day. Start with Pikes Peak (9am) since they close early, spend lunch in Manitou Springs and finish the day at the Garden of the Gods - the low afternoon/sunset sun makes those red sandstone formations look amazing. You still have time for dinner back in town.
Man, this makes me emotional. Fell absolutely in love with Colorado (and someone there!). Moving permanently in around a year. Terrified but so excited.
Sounds like you have an incredible time ahead of you. I find moving is an easy way to reinvent yourself and create new habits and lifestyle. Take advantage of it and have fun and good luck!
How is life in Colorado? How is your special someone? Hope you are enjoying your move!!! I smiled readingnyour comment. Feel free to share...I'm invested😁❤
@ Hey! It's going well since that post I went back to CO for around 2 months, but I've actually not been able to move permanently just yet, between university & the visa process it's looking like it'll take an extra few months. I wouldn't be surprised if it took until a while after June 2025 but should definitely be before 2026 so we're under the 1 year mark for sure by this point. We're excited, it definitely sucks being far away for so long!
@ColtTheWolf it's so cool for you to message me back! My family and I are coming to Colorado for Christmas....I absolutely love Colorado. I'm genuinely happy for you. Honestly....I'm a big cheerleader for love and travel. I know the waiting process takes forever, but I'm the end it'll be all worth it. I'm rooting for you, my nnonymous UA-cam friend. 😉🥰

The program includes Active Duty, Reservists, Veterans, Gold Star Families, Dependents, National Guard, and Senior Citizens. It’s also not limited to National Park lands, and includes several other agencies having jurisdiction, like US Forestry Department. I got an annual pass upon arriving at the gate of Yosemite by showing them my CAC card and I think I filled out a short form with basic info.
Hello Ryan, I live in San Francisco , California and plan to visit few of the towns in Colorado this year Christmas for 10 days. I concern about the highway condition during the winter time especially at the Christmas season. Aspen, Vail, Keystone, Telluride, and Breckenridge are the place I plan to stay. I might add a few more town to visit. I just wonder. Does the highway is drivable between these towns during the winter season?
Likely. Unless there is some insane snow storm that is happening. But the federally funded highway system has a LOT of workers and plows out there full time to make sure things are moving constantly. The only caveat to that is if you are taking smaller highways (2 lanes). Any of the major roads/highways should be open.
hi I am from Houston TX my family plan road trip to Colorado Springs after this Christmas, any suggestions If I drive my car go to up Pikes Peak. thanks
We moved from Oregon to Georgia about 4 years ago and I really don’t like Georgia or the south. It is not for us at all and I’m trying to convince my wife to move to Colorado Springs. It seems to have everything I love and the culture and lifestyle feels like home. I’m wanting to plan a trip to Colorado Springs to explore and learn more about it. If anyone knows someone who can coordinate plans for us to check out the city and homes schools neighborhoods etc please contact me
Watched a concert at red rocks it was worth the experience! great time! Also another great video!
Heck yeah!! We're going to a Red Rocks concert next May and cant wait. It will be fun!

👆 This is a good itinerary suggestion.
Just be aware Garden of the Gods can get get crowded as can Manitou, especially on weekends during peak season.
I never went to the top. ……lol right as I wrote that he said” when you get to the top.” Guess I have to go back asap.

The Petrified Ancient Redwoods at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument are near Cripple Creek and worth a look if in the area.
Yes the Fossil Beds are really awesome. Blown away by how enormous some of those petrified tree stumps are. I can't imagine seeing them IRL.
Great suggestions, thanks for the video. Yet to visit Canon City and Cripple Creek from your list, hope to catch them soon.
Yes, hopefully you can visit these towns soon. They're such great places and hidden gems in the state!

If you’re active duty or a veteran you can go to national parks for free. Just to let the fellow veterans know
Great tip, thanks so much for sharing!
