I did download same version and just in few minutes found new feature: editing rules in game (in sandbox). Using console i revealed all blocks, items and units and found new block: world switch.
@@user-yn1oi6iv1f I don't think world switch will have purpose since if we just use world proccesor it's already infinite range burh
@@im_Snas The world switch is like a normal logic switch but unbreakable, so it will have some uses in world processor mapmaking

in 2 years the update turned out to be too small. the difference between V5 and V6 is colossal, although the development took 2 years, V7 has the same volume, but somehow V8 seems too small, even the mod developers managed to add several planets. I hope this isn't the beginning of the game's decline.

@@DontVin I wouldn't hold my Breath on that, I've never managed to complete the game yet mainly because of sector 24 and my inability to Zenith Bomb, each update looks as if it's making the game more friendly to more casual people like me.
Gameplay-wise, several Serpulo maps are getting reworked like Frozen Forest and a whole slew of other sectors, along with a few balance changes, and the additions of Neoplasm being able to expand as a biological threat, which you will most likely be forced to face at least once or twice on Erekir.
there's more to v8 than neoplasm: several serpulo sectors are getting reworked. besides, this isn't all to the update yet.

@@nevergoon2357 This update of Mindustry reminds me a bit if the Buzy Bees update for Minecraft, a lot more subtle features and behind the scenes stuff was added which subtly makes the game better and smoother for many, though on the outside only a bit has been added and changed.
In this case though, most Serpulo maps are being reworked and a few are being added, not to mention the addition of Neoplasm as a dangerous entity controlled faction that tries to go for the route with the least defenses possible makes it a formidable foe.
I remember in the answers to my questions, Anyuk said that maybe in the fall the V8 will be available for testing, but he doesn't promise.
