I saw you post about this deck tech in a poll a while ago and it made me curious enough to research it on my own. Holy cow is this an insane deck! Ive been looking for a deck that uses a companion and this is a definite winner!

I've been running an Umori companion deck with Henzie for a while now, and Apex Devastator goes HARD in this brew.
I could definitely see that wiping the board!

You want more PRE Henzie ramp to turn 2 henzie. Delighted Halfling and Arbor elf notably.
Post henzie ramp to note: Selvala
Kethek Crucible of Goliath, Ojer Kaslem and Braids Arisen nightmare are good card draw options.
Kardur Doomscourge is good to survive cuz you have no blockers and swing for a win.
Bringer of the last gift is cracked. Living death on a creature.
Gruff Triplets feels better than Giant Adephage with all the reanimation we run.
A spicy tech with Kogla is bouncing Eternal Witness and Timeless Witness because they’re both sneaky humans. Then replay the witness and get back nasty past blitz creatures.
In my Henzie I play Kodama of the East tree. Whenever I have an extra card draw effect out I tend to discard to hand size with all the card advantage and Kodama really shines when it comes to throwing my hand onto the board
I have a Xenagos, God of Revels list that is similar in its gameplan. I’d definitely recommend him for the 99!
Goblin Anarchomancer also has 49 hits in the deck and would be a nice cost reducer that fits the gameplan.
Thunderscape familiar is also another cost reducer for the deck with even more hits! :)

I have a card in my Torre deck, that I just love, and that I feel gets overlooked. It's called Doom Weaver, and you can get some great card draw by just having it sit on the field and bond with a blitzed creature each turn.
My omori is with myrkul lord of bones, it benefits from enchantment support and can fit in infinite mana with devoted druid

Would love to see you take a crack at creating a -1/-1 counter deck. I got a lot of cards with wither, infect, or things that benefit from a -1/-1 counter being on a creature.
I run this same deck with a few differences. One is I use bloodthirster for extra combats and zorpandrel (green dominus). Zorp doubles power and toughness every combat phase (yours, extras, and theirs) until end of turn. You can use this and bloodthirster to get to X16 damage (more if you can sac and rez thirster via Olivia voldaran[vow])

I run a Henzie creatures only deck too. Prowling Geistcatcher is boardwipe guarantee, but also you can blitz it (for usually just a single black) to keep all the other blitz creatures that turn.
Also, run Golden Guardian for some street cred.

I love the idea of doing in a etb reanimator type style. Like Phyrexian Delver.
Mikaeus would also be very fun.
And blitz out those Dredge guys too!.
Golgari grave Troll comes out huge after a lot of mills.
The instant value form the etb creatures definitely help!
I saw both your video's and was intrigued with the deck(s).
I was already plannig on an all creature deck. Which I think I had mentioned.
But I finally got to build my version. It has some different picks here and there and I dont even have my Umori yet (should have probably arrived already, but I digress).
Even without the Umori it feels great to play. Still maybe wil tweak mine a bit.
But so far am 3-1 with mine. The game I lost was me having a slow start into board whipe and an opponent Scute Swarming away into double buffs to kill me and one other player. To them get killed by the player with the multiple board whipes. The irony. 😅
It even held its own vs Dinosaurs, which is a testament to its power if you know how cracked current Dino decks are. 😅
Dino’s have definitely gotten some bad ass tech this past year! I’m glad you’re enjoying the deck I always have a blast when I bring mine out! Nothing beats turning off the brain and smashing face with creatures! 😁
@@decktechsfordecks Haha yeah, thanks for the idea/suggestion. You have been a great help in finding some fresh and nice deck ideas. Also your builds are generally pretty close to how I would build mine. Though I always wil try and find my own way to build it and have some differences. :D
I wouldn't say it is a mindless deck though, there are definitely some choices to be made, but yeah, it is generally just play something, go ham and let it go.. xD

@@decktechsfordecks fair to say. It isnt some very high strategy deck compared to some others out there though, so definitely get what you are saying.
And ofcourse, love your content and that you are making budget and non-budget is very nice. I think it helps people that have lower budget see that a good deck doesnt need the most expensive cards. Heck, my version has a lot less expensive cards than it could have and I can win with budget options all the time.
In the end it comes down to strategy and picking cards that synergize.
Keep up the good work my man. You actually made me excited for the Desert precon and I skipped it for now, because I thought it wasnt going to be that great. But limited finances, so buying it next month probably.

I'd love to your take on Volrath the Shapestealer. You can do some weird stuff, like have him become a copy of Giant Adephage. Then, when you swing with your Volrath Adephage, the token will enter the battlefield with Volraths copy ability attached to it, and it won't legend rule itself. It's pretty insane. If you have a persist creature and an undying creature, you can infinitely loop Volrath if you have Ashnods Altar.

@@decktechsfordecks Did you know that you can turn a Planewalker into an Artifact. Turn that Artifact into a creature. Then you can have Volrath become a copy of the Planeswalker. Then you can activate its abilities lol

one thing thats awesome in this deck are artifacts that stick around to build advantage. I especially like skull clamp and vat of rebirth, because this deck lacks T1 plays
This is an all-creatures deck. If you can find creature versions of the above cards, they'd be good includes. Otherwise, no.
Hello great deck tech. I did have a question, I figured you can use adventure cards for spell casting since they are considered creature cards, but is an attraction deck considered part of the starting deck to Umori's restriction? I just want to create a wacky 'toolbox' fun deck if I can play with creatures that open attractions.

Little surprised about no mosswort bridge. With so many high value creatures it’s pretty rare to miss, and with so many creatures you’ll likely be able to get the 10 power pretty easily. Just better than a forest imo
I appreciate the tech I can definitely slot that in! I’ll be the first to admit I’m never perfect and my knowledge isn’t as vast as it could be.

At 7:28, you mention you use Disciple of Bolas' and Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar's ability to draw cards off of themselves. However, both abilities say 'Sacrifice another creature." As far as I understand, neither card can use their ability to sac themselves. Is there an interaction I'm missing that you are referring to?
Actually, I misunderstood what you said in the video about Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar. You do mention sac'ing a large creature to draw cards. However, with Disciple of Bolas, you do say "...draw a card off of herself". Can you elaborate on that interaction?

Henzi in the commander zone don't have blitz and don't give this ability to anyone. To give the ability must be on board true?
yes, abilities that work from the command zone will say so on the card
