I found a local Lowes that had 2 in stock, picked up 1 for myself and tried them out immediately. I was very impressed with the capability of the tools, and yes the impact tool will take off lug nuts if they are no more than 100 ft lbs torque. This is an incredible value, for the home DIY dude, its perfect. No its not for pro use, but that's not what these are designed for.
I got that same combo myself 99 bucks skill actually makes damn good tools. Hell of a deal. I could have bought the multi saw only with one battery for 149.00 or get all these tools drill, impact, multi saw, light, speaker charger and 2 batteries.

I bought this just for the multi tool. Have been very pleased with all of the components. I have been doing a home renovation and all have preformed well. 2amp hr battery’s are alittle small. I wish it had 1 4 amp hr in the kit.
Grabbed the drill/impact combo kit earlier this year for $60. If not for that, I’d grab this again just for the multi tool, batteries, radio and light, lol. I definitely like the skil 12v

Theyre a little big (the impact and drill) for being 12v tools but still very good quality. Love the ring light on the impact and the drill is pretty powerful for 12v.
What a steal man of didn’t already have Milwaukee m12 fuel impact, and hammer drill, plus m18 fuel impact, and hammer, plus an older ryobi set….I would be all over this…still tempted at that price but how many impact drivers, and drills does a guy need. I can say skil stands behind their warranty. I have their 10” double bevel miter, and the arbor was off, it would chuck small stock across my shop. I had it for a good 3 months before I called skil to complain. I expected them to have me take it to a service center for a tech to analyze and hopefully repair, but nope….they sent me a brand new saw in a few days. I told the rep if didn’t already jump in a 12v line I would be all over theirs. I hear the oscillating tool is nice and everything else is good, especially for 99.00 bucks

Pretty nice set for the price. Great performance to price for homeowner basic set. I won the drill kit from Philly fixed. I really like that 1/4 inch hex collet inside the drill chuck. I didn't know if was there at first
Mayhem, can you tell me what is the best 1/2” impact wrench for the money currently? Just need this for tire lug nuts here and there and not an everyday tool.
Best bang for your buck right now in my opinion would be the Ryobi HP 1/2" impact wrench. Watch torque test channels comparisons. Affordable and powerful. I own it and use it all the time! HD still has the 2 4ah batteries for $79 I believe. Can get set up with impact and 2 batteries for cheaper than some other brands bare tool.
I would go with either the KOBALT XTR $219 for the kit (my opinion best deal). Then for warranty reasons the new FLEX 1/2” High torque kit for $299 but it comes with a lifetime warranty…on everything. The RYOBI High torque kit is going for $189 at Home Depot and is the best bang for your buck. Hope that helps?
@@MasteringMayhem Didn't the flex founders warranty end at the 1st of the year, so it's no longer lifetime warranty? Could always go for the Ridgid mid torque with lifetime warranty. Not a bad line to get on either if he isn't committed to a battery platform yet!

Fellow LA denizens, I have checked all the way from San Diego to Bakersfield and this is what I found for the Skill 5 tool combo: 2 in Bakersfield, 1 in Hemet, 1 in ElCajon. Store p/u only. I bought one of the Bakersfield combos (2 hour drive) before I found the one in ElCajon (45 minute drive. So I'll be getting the one in ElCajon and leaving the one in Bakersfield. They'll hold the one in Bakersfield for 7 days and then return to stock. Good luck.
Drill chuck wont hold onto drill bits AND impact stops claspiing onto tjw bits to hold them. Also bro skilz warranty is TRASH ! TOOK 9 MONTHS TOGET SEND A BATTERY ONLY INSTEAD OF 2 TOOLS.
I'd picked this up for my son-in-law, this past Christmas, buuuut, he said he didn't have a use for it (understandably, as he's a heavy equipment mechanic, although I'd thought it'd be nice to have around the house, while his "good" tools/Snap Ons, are mostly at his job).....I STUPIDLY returned it, after pondering keeping it for myself.... I'd just prior, invested in another tool line, starting w/ a drill driver & impact driver, & didn't want to get into another battery platform.....yeah ...I know.....WHAT AN IDIOT!!! The batteries & charger ALONE would've been worth keeping this set! (NINETY-NINE DOLLARS....🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️.... I'd managed to get over it, putting it in my rearview, buuut.....this video reminded me of what a COLLOSAL MISTAKE I made, by not keeping it....DAMN!) 😂 Maybe this Christmas 🤷🏻♂️

Definitely not a pile of crap. They are good tools, yes, there’s better tools out there, but these tools do a great job with lite to medium demanding projects and jobs. No selling here, just information and honest views on how I see something.
