I'm an amateur sewist and have worked in fashion retail throughout most of my teens/early 20ies. I'm now getting a masters in economics, your channel is like a perfect synthesis of my interests! Very cool that you're also based in Canada, I hope your channel blows up!
Wow, going for your masters in Economics is an amazing feat, congratulations for striving for that! What post-secondary are you attending? Also after school are you thinking about going back into fashion using your economic knowledge, or would fashion be more so of a hobby? We appreciate the support 🙏
I would really like to see some of the brands using merino like smartwool, mons royale, odlo and others. To get to more about how that process works and what to look for to get quality and value in that segment
@@Shiftfashiongroup I really like Merino and its properties like temperature regulating, odor resitance and moisture wicking. It is renewable and sustianable (at least the wool itself, i don't know much about production). I have heard it is has been a challenge to mass produce with machines until recently. So knowing how they produce e.g. a t-shirt would be really interesting. Also what to look for to get the best quality and most durable merino and merino blend clothing is something i know i would use for my shopping in the future
Hey Coco, glad to hear you're finding the info panels useful in your education of fashion/manufacturing! Just curious, are you trying to create your own fashion brand or has fashion become a new found hobby?
@@Shiftfashiongroup Just a new hobby of mine. I’ve watched some videos on creating a brand as it was interesting. They all seem to say that fashion is one of the hardest businesses to get into, even though the markup is high. Not going to start one anytime soon if that’s the case 😂
Hey Eck, that's great! We're trying to inform people this information just so brand owners and consumers alike are aware in the process of manufacturing and how to create/buy better garments. Let us know if you have any questions in regards to fashion, manufacturing, and brand development😊. What garments would you like to see us review for those brands?
@@Shiftfashiongroup tees if possible, feels like you can tell so much from how they manufacture the basics of all - the plain tee :) Also Joe and team are doing a phenomenal job at dissecting tees from major brands.
@@Shiftfashiongroup when they were 80€ish i think it was a good value but they raised the prices quite a bit. You can find great ones used for 40€ (here in Germany at least). I also haven't found an alternative yet, style and (my percieved) quality wise.
Love the videos! I was wondering if you could do Vollebak. They claim that they do cutting edge things in terms of materials and craftsmanship but I was wondering how true the claims are.
Excellent detail oriented dissection ❤ Would love to see some fancy UA smartform leggings as well as some oldschool 100% cotton Adidas T-shirt teardowns by your expertise
@@Shiftfashiongroup Great, thank you! Can't wait to see how they compare with the others. Keep up the good analysis and the mighty algorythm will reward your channel 👏
Yup added it to the list! What garments in particular are you interested in seeing us review? Also are you a cyclist looking into buying a new garment to cycle in?
@@Shiftfashiongroup Apologies for the late reply. Great thanks! I’m particularly interested in the jerseys. Not a cyclist actually - I’ve been working on a combat sports/grappling brand and have been using those cycling brands as inspiration - cycling jerseys are very similar to rash guards for grappling/mma/etc. The fabrics + construction of the high end cycling brands are far superior to any of the combat sports brands and would love to hear your thoughts on them. Thanks again!
Hey Time, we appreciate the love😊! Not to worry there is a lot more content coming your way, with some a few new series😏. What garments would you like to see us review from those brands?
It is frustratingly difficult to find plain clothes and pants that are a combination of (A) simple design with 0 branding or graphics on the outside, (B) proper quality material and construction with reasonable pricing, and (C) easy to fully remove internal tags and labels to have nothing sharp poking the skin. Would love to hear you address this.
Joe here! Sometimes in wearing shirts from different brands to test out. But alot of the times I'm wearing prototypes for our clients. But stay tuned in the next few weeks we'll be unveiling a new series for items we develop
@@Shiftfashiongroup It was an excellent breakdown. I'm launching a brand and your channel has been invaluable. Very much looking forward to more videos and learning from you!

what do you think of chest pockets on t-shirts? are they unreliable in the long term?

It’s something I’ve worn in the past but always felt were overpriced. Curious to see just how good the quality is from your professional perspective.
i hate the rubberized heat transfer because you cant get the off
Are there any cashmere or merino videos coming? Quince, Naadam, Vince, etc
None yet, but we'll add it to the list now! Why so curious about those? Are you in thinking in purchasing a sweater that uses those two fibers?
