It's Easy to choose Doggystyle. The Chronic only has 9 tracs# that are good, really 7 because 2 are skits. When Chronic was on tape, people only listen to 1 side and rewind because Lil Ghetto Boy is the last good song on there. Doggystyle can be played with very minimal skipping

Doggystyle production sound with the 70s &80s r&b element that Dre lace up with that crystal clear sonic sound made it one of the best albums sound and concept wise to come out period 💯💯
I love both albums and memorised the lyrics which I'll probably never forget, but I think The Chronic edges it for me. It came off the back of NWA's second album and had that raw energy which I love.

Doggystyle is the more complete album with no skips but The Chronic had some absolute bangers

@@treezues9586the whole B-Side. After Lil GhettBoy, which is track 9, the album is mediocre. When Chronic was on tape, people would only play side A then rewind it. Realistically it's only 7 songs because 2 of the 1st 9 tracks are skits.

The Chronic is a no brainer, No skips on that album. Doggie style is my second of all time and no skips on that album as well. Both are bangers till this day!

I say THE CHRONIC because without that album there is no DOGGYSTYLE. Not to mention THE CHRONIC was probably the first west coast album played from coast to coast outside of maybe those first couple Ice Cube albums.

It simultaneously ended NWA and put post-NWA west coast on the map. Introduced the larger public to Snoop, DPG, RBX, Rage, Warren G, etc. Without the Chronic, I think the west coast would have languished instead of becoming hip hop's epicenter from 1992 to 1994 and arguably beyond.

I'm from NY so we slept on the Chronic in my neighborhood, but Doggystyle was everywhere...
Both albums are same level but I would say the Chronic introduced G funk era so that's where it has the edge. But in terms of quality of music both are same level
It's The Chronic. It is very close and technically Doggystyle had more hits. But think back to the first time you heard Snoop on G Thang... then listen to the tracks in order. We had never heard anything like Snoop on that before. We were ready by the time Doggystyle came out.

DOGGYSTYLE had SOUTH AFRICAN 🇿🇦 youth in a buzz...that's the album that got me into Hip Hop...for me DOGGYSTYLE is without doubt THE BEST RAP ALBUM EVER PRODUCED...Dr DRE outdid THE CRONIC with production on DOGGYSTYLE.
Doggystyle sounds more colourful and funky, and on some days I'd probably pick that, but I'm going to go for The Chronic. It has more of a solid classic feel to it, and less pop rap feel
