It's Easy to choose Doggystyle. The Chronic only has 9 tracs# that are good, really 7 because 2 are skits. When Chronic was on tape, people only listen to 1 side and rewind because Lil Ghetto Boy is the last good song on there. Doggystyle can be played with very minimal skipping
Doggystyle production sound with the 70s &80s r&b element that Dre lace up with that crystal clear sonic sound made it one of the best albums sound and concept wise to come out period 💯💯
I love both albums and memorised the lyrics which I'll probably never forget, but I think The Chronic edges it for me. It came off the back of NWA's second album and had that raw energy which I love.
I wouldn't go that far.. But i understand what your trying to say..i would liking it more to picking which is better pepperoni pizza or smash burger with Mac sauce..
@@treezues9586i wouldnt say skip but i think from track 11 on the production was not at the highest level but the lyrics were still fire especially Lady of Rage completely killed it
@@treezues9586the whole B-Side. After Lil GhettBoy, which is track 9, the album is mediocre. When Chronic was on tape, people would only play side A then rewind it. Realistically it's only 7 songs because 2 of the 1st 9 tracks are skits.
The Chronic is a no brainer, No skips on that album. Doggie style is my second of all time and no skips on that album as well. Both are bangers till this day! 💯%
The chronic!! It was the semi introduction to the label behind Deep Cover soundtrack, which laid the foundation, Doggystyle kicked it all off like a nonstop express train with no brakes
I say THE CHRONIC because without that album there is no DOGGYSTYLE. Not to mention THE CHRONIC was probably the first west coast album played from coast to coast outside of maybe those first couple Ice Cube albums.
I Dont Get How Ppl Say Without The Chronic, There Is No Doggystyle. What If The Chronic Never Came Out But Snoop Wuz Still Discovered On Death Row? Are We Saying Doggystyle Songs Wouldn't Have Been Made? Snoop Wrote Most Of The Hits Off The Chronic Anyway.
Though I get that there would be no Doggystyle without The Chronic, The Chronic set a benchmark that Doggystyle exceeded. Imo, Doggystyle is the superior project.
This one’s brilliant. Doggy was a much better album, but Chronic introduced that west coast vibe the best. I definitely understand what Twistas going through 😂😂😂
@CliffBoothMarley had nothing to do with my comment. And doggfood is not a classic. A 4 out of 5, maybe 4.5 out of 5 at best. I've had it since release.
Thats a damn good list but these are also contenders in my opinion for best albums of all time: - "The Infamous"(Mobb Deep) - "Dogg Food" (DPG) - "Evil4Zaggin" (NWA) - "Death Certificate (Ice Cube) - "Real Brothas" (Dresta & BG Knocc Out) - "Hell on Earth" (Mobb Deep) - "It's on Dre 187 Killa" (Eazy E) - "Tha Eastsidaz" (Eastsidaz)
It's The Chronic. It is very close and technically Doggystyle had more hits. But think back to the first time you heard Snoop on G Thang... then listen to the tracks in order. We had never heard anything like Snoop on that before. We were ready by the time Doggystyle came out.
The Chronic because of "Deeez Nuuuts" Doggystyle because of " You dont love me , you just love my doggystyle. Both were king of skits in hiphop. And BadBoy bit off that
Love both, but edge goes to Chronic. It simultaneously ended NWA and put post-NWA west coast on the map. Introduced the larger public to Snoop, DPG, RBX, Rage, Warren G, etc. Without the Chronic, I think the west coast would have languished instead of becoming hip hop's epicenter from 1992 to 1994 and arguably beyond.
OUCH! Right before I started typing, I got chills from thinking about _Gin & Juice_ and a rush of warm memories just flooded my memory bank. _B¡tchəs Ain't Sh¡t_ came to mind immediately after though. I am unable to choose. These are the most nostalgic LPs ever.
The Chronic Hands Down. There wouldn’t be Doggystyle w/o The Chronic. When the King Riot kicked off all you heard here in South Central LA was the Chronic. Both are LA Classics Hands Down.
I’m Going With Both Two Are One Of My Favorite Albums Of All Time Some Of My Favorite CDs I’ve Ever Owned But The Chronic Had More Of An Impact And Influence On Pop Culture
Doggystyle sounds more colourful and funky, and on some days I'd probably pick that, but I'm going to go for The Chronic. It has more of a solid classic feel to it, and less pop rap feel
Doggy Style was the first album I ever brought and I played it on the Sony diskman which was a dc player. I could listen to every single song and skit on that album. Just like Marshal Mathers LP
DOGGYSTYLE had SOUTH AFRICAN 🇿🇦 youth in a buzz...that's the album that got me into Hip Hop...for me DOGGYSTYLE is without doubt THE BEST RAP ALBUM EVER PRODUCED...Dr DRE outdid THE CRONIC with production on DOGGYSTYLE.

People with multiple kids pick a favorite child. They just keep it themselves most of the time. 😂
Pick.
Twista looks like he's soaking up some bad news 😂
Doggystyle is a candidate for greatest hiphop album ever..
So is The Chronic
@@ryandavis6245 yeah, but it’s not on the level of Doggystyle..
@rockyward6758 What level? because Dr. Dre isn't a rapper, but he has an album considered 1 of the classics.
@@rockyward6758 ehhh... to me it's better than doggystyle. By a nice margin too
Flesh of my Flesh, Blood of my Blood is the best album.
Chronic best hip hop album of all time
Right, what's wrong w ppl
Too easy
Doggystyle is America, the Chronic is L.A.
And also The Chronic is every hood on the Westcoast period not just L.A.
This is a great take
Great analogy
Doggystyle is the more complete album with no skips but The Chronic had some absolute bangers

The Chronic is more historically important, but Doggystyle is the musically superior album.
This is the best answer.
Well said!
Exactly. I'd pick Doggystyle from a musical standpoint. But this album (and many more) couldn't exist without the Chronic.
Kinda hard picking one plus a prime snoop dogg did the most of the chronic and all of doggy style
I love Chronic, but doggy style sonically is crazy
Both classic albums… however I feel like Doggystyle was the evolution of Chronic.
I respect Khaled for doin the bass line to Da shiznit and DOC mentioned it too best song Snoop did in my opinion 🔥

The CHRONIC!!! All day! Some of the hardest verses ever written
The Chronic = PERFECT 10
Doggystyle = 11
The chronic!! It was the semi introduction to the label behind Deep Cover soundtrack, which laid the foundation, Doggystyle kicked it all off like a nonstop express train with no brakes
The only answer is The Chronic period the simple fact that Snoop is on both in The Chronic provides way more variety
Man... That's a tough choice... but Nothing but a G thang?? I gotta go with The Chronic, man.
And Stranded on Death Row. That motherfucka song goes hard as shit.
Little Ghetto Boy,playing in the Ghetto Streets.
Doggystyle for party crips lol
The Chronic for the gangstas who actually put in work & lived to tell about it.
People always say if it wasn’t for this then there wouldn’t be that. F all that which album is better period.
😂😂. Exactly. Doggy style
Doggystyle
Chronic

Doggy style set a record
Doggy style is a complete album, from beginning to end, skits & all, it’s a complete vibe.

I say THE CHRONIC because without that album there is no DOGGYSTYLE. Not to mention THE CHRONIC was probably the first west coast album played from coast to coast outside of maybe those first couple Ice Cube albums.
And both nwa albums
And it was also a blue print for a commercially successful and street at the same time.

The Chronic. If you go song for song, I think The Chronic wins!
The Chronic!
