@@steveshortt90 With this model you have some of the most versatile mapping support available. If you live in Florida CMAP Reveal is included with the preprogramed CMAP Enhanced charts.
I have a nss12 evo 3s and I live in Florida. I don't see how to get the shaded relief without purchasing cmap discover or reveal. I can't see where it is preloaded or included. Help?!
I own Simrad on one boat and Raymarine on the other. Simrad has very rudimentary waypoint management while Raymarine has outstanding waypoint management. Key features that Simrad is missing: 1) waypoint grouping 2) ability to turn on or off waypoint names for a group 3) different size waypoint icons (fish icons are tiny) 4) ability to bulk edit a group of waypoints 5) ability to filter waypoints by a string and then batch edit the filtered group The lack of these features makes the Simrad unusable for most fishermen and cruisers. I do not have a dog in this hunt other than making people aware of the shortcomings of Simrad.
it can do all that but it can't join lots of points together and mark an area such as a harbour safe channel or a fishing area. You'd be far better off buying an Olex
What charting features is important to you?
Good mapping support like CMAP Reveal! :)
