- My Bleed build absolutely destroyed Annihilation the Final Boss on Apocalypse difficulty. Feel free to copy it! This is how to beat Annihilation on Apocalypse in Remnant 2.

I can't believe I forgot to list my Traits. They're as follows:
Potency - 10
Strong Back - 10
Vigor - 10
Endurance - 10
Spirit - 10
Expertise - 5
Barkskin - 10
Footwork - 10
Shadeskin - 5
Siphoner - 10
Do you think Barkskin is worth it when it only gives roughly 4%-5% DR vs getting something like Fortify which gives about double that?
Edit: Oh you know what actually I forgot that the patch hasn't hit consoles yet that show the correct DR values like on PC. My bad.
Awesome run bro. I also love the final boss fight. Once you pickup on the sound cues it gets so much easier..
TV do you prefer Siphoner to Regrowth?

Only problem I had with this guy on apocalypse was the vicious modifier. Even at max damage resist the slam would 1 shot full health. Felt so good to get the kill eventually
I’m currently fighting a vicious and hearty one. Brutal with one shots but fun as hell.
I have vicious hearty on apocalypse and I can't get through the orbs in the second phase. They wipe me out about half the time. I've gotten him down to about 20% left on the second phase. I've been trying for about six hours judging by how many concoctions I've used up.

Probability cord and stone of malovance is must. Zaria Malice is great also

U can use assassin blade or the keel ace? The krell axe when throw and hit enemy. Cuz them bleed. Also u can use vampire blade on them? What u think?
My latest clear was hugs using coach gun and the double barrel shotty
I would definitely trade time keepers jewel for faerins sigil and possibly stone of balance for sapphire dreamstone
tried this and the boss bugged out, 10/10 build. if i may suggest a change. swap enigma for any hangun with the song of eafir mod. it kills all the orbs at once (as long as you play solo) it should hit all orbs in s2 as well, but if it doesnt then add points in the amplitude trait. merciless kept my SoE mod available every time the orbs appeared with no change in rings whatsoever (had 10 spirit though). for stage 2 i wouldn't use EoF for the stage one style orbs, as merciless could deal with them with its mod.
How the hell do you proc the bleed with that gun? Dumb question i know but i run out of ammo..

Just completed it finally on survivor. I’m not the best at games so the final boss was a struggle 😅 going to try veteran next or maybe I should go onto nightmare? Is it much more of a jump up?
try to jump to nightmare cuz there isn't that big of a jump from survivor to veteran. But it is always something you gotta try for yourself.
Try rolling an adventure on nightmare and see how it is

Not bad but you could halve the clear time running Hunter/Gunslinger with Ravager's Mark/Whetstone, Zania's, Prob Cord, Stone of Expanse, and either Stone of Balance or Warlord's Burden and you can run either Merciless or Nightfall w/ the same Twisting Wounds mutator
I also have the glitch still where it doesnt give me the rewards for game clears so I cant even get the stuff off my Apoc, Nightmare, and Vet clears

How do you get that armor set? 👀
You are so much better at me at dodging stuff in this game. Took me about 30 attempts to kill this on apoc, and I was dealing about 4x as much damage lol

Vanguard I don’t understand how were you not needing to use an ammo crate? I’ve beaten him three times now and I usually need 2 crates minimum..
Because he is using gunslinger.
With gunslinger you have the ammo reserves trait that gives more reserve ammo and also has a perk that increases ammo pickups.

Have you tried ravagers mark for the amulet instead? Give more damage to bleeding enemies
Sure have, that was my starting piece but found better consistent damage from this amulet instead

I hear ya, Annihilation is tricky because there's so much going on visually and it can feel like theres nothing you can do. TV mentions turning the music off (which sucks because the music in this fight is so good), but the annihilation fight becomes a lot easier when you're really tuned into the audio cues. More than almost any other fight iirc his tells also have a very distinct audio cue. For me, that was the key to finally getting the hang of this fight.

Bleed handicaps healing, so twisted rounds on any gun with any build shuts regenerator down. Your choices were fine. If he doesn't have ele resist, try hotshot + elec rounds with lmg + machine pistol. Rings to boost damage by status and for Amulet use corrosive weapon swap. Gunslinger main for Ammo and Invader for free dodges, and this boss will cry.
Wouldn’t timekeepers jewel be redundant as you would constantly be refreshing bleed anyways and you’re not using any grenades or enigma to apply status effects
U try abrasive whetstone?
Good build but why would you put yourself right over the health and Armour stats?? 😮
I was only on veteran, but the most successful strat I found was to run engineer with Vulcan as my prime, and invader with void cloak.
The turret shredded through first phase, and I saved the void cloak for some of the hairy moments of second phase to give me some wiggle room, if I wasn't able to get my dodges perfect.
I also ran Crescent Moon with Supercharger on it. Bolt Driver with Momentum and Rotted Arrow. Using Energy Diverter, Archers Crest, Akari War Band, Tightly Wound Coil, and Ring of Diversion.
I maxed out Regrowth, Expertise, Spirit, Vigor, Fitness, and Footwork, then put the last 5 into Strong Back so I could wear the fae royal set with a medium dodge. And Engineer comes with Fortify and I'd maxed that archetype out. But my invader was only at level 6.
I had a blast with the fight honestly, and it was only veteran so I can't wait to see how it goes on nightmare and apocalypse. Keep up the good work TV.
If ur gona run Timekeepers then you Have to run Energizing Neck coil. If u don’t or don’t have it, then Abrasive Whetstone is wayyy better for dps.
Have both, not sure that I can quantify it but the numbers I'm seeing in real time seem better with this setup than the alternatives. Might do more testing.
How do you get 1k of bleeding??
took me 5 days experimenting different builds to take him down. I finally settled for the full hp infinite relic build to kill it.
Have anyone tried extender on merciless? Increases mag by 20 rounds and Increases reload speed... Testing at the tires it does way more dmg then twisting wounds, but they don't have bleed status so i dunno what is better, hate merciless reload speed 😅
Twisting wounds doesn’t activate on the firing range cuz bleed doesn’t work on them
@@stealthninja4195 i know, that is why i asked if anyone made the maths in actual fight... Because it is easy to proc bleed on a boss and keep it, specially with this build from True Vanguard

You could swap stone of balance for araki warband because you always perfect dodge during the final boss fight

I think whetstone is a better option for bleed build
Yeah. Crit chance+dmg> flat dmg increase
Also use the akari ring instead of timekeeper. Less time but is applied more times and have more crit dmg

yeah, i mean one mag from enigma kills those few tiny dogs that just run at you
abrasive whetstone is an infinitely better amulet for this build than the chains of amplification

@@cavsfightingroom3692 yeah i feel that, her shop mechanic is really annoying. but even ravager's mark which is probably the easiest item to get in the game would be a better choice for the extra damage below 50% health.
The timekeeper's jewel does absolutely nothing for you in this fight, considering your mutator in your primary weapon.
I guess the only thing is it doubles the amulets total explosion damage, would be extremely solid for mobbing and okay for bossing but you are correct in that he swap to whetstone for bossing
This is a pretty odd build. You're applying bleed constantly, so timekeeper's jewel isn't doing anything for you. Merciless has innate bleed, so you don't need twisting blades. Better to replace it with momentum and timekeeper's with akari war band. And since you're only triggering chains of amplification with bleed, ravager's mark is a straight upgrade. Though you may be even better off with abrasive whetstone.
Bleed 2x basically is stacking constant damage on the boss, without Timekeeper you're looking at a 10 second bleed DoT instead of 20 which allows me to focus on dodging instead of trying to keep a constant up-time on the DoT. I found this to be especially helpful with the Regenerator roll on the boss, helps offset. Plus it keeps the status effects on longer which then boosts my damage output per my amulet regularly. It all works in unison, got the job done quite well given the crappy roll I had on the boss modifiers.

lol in board games they say "trust the dice" when you get bad rolls. just means i got it easy somewhere else in my apocalypse run, just gotta roll with it haha!

Bleed is a DoT "damage over time" not a debuff ...
Bleed also decreases healing by 50% also makin it a debuff
that was just bad luck with thick skin and regenerator, worst possible roll on a boss.
nah, the worst one has to be thick skin and empathy
