- The very first volume of Buses in Calgary, Alberta, Canada!
I had intended to make this video much sooner, but June 2015 was my first opportunity to visit Alberta and sadly the MCI Classics and GM Fishbowls can no longer be seen serving Calgary's streets, but there is still lots of variety with Calgary Transit New Flyers, Novas, ARBOCs, and ElDorados (sadly not seen in this video) and not forgetting the Southland Commuter coaches as well as Airdrie Transit's 'ICE' fleet and Red Arrow coaches seen at the base of the Calgary Tower.
For volume two, see here: • Buses in Calgary, AB (... - Авто та транспорт
Nice video! Noticed at 12:37 is the bus I now own. 7632 :)
Cool! Yeah, unfortunately I'd missed the Classics and Fishbowls by the time I got to visit Calgary to make this compilation, but I did get to ride one of the Classics in Saskatoon and the couple in Cold Lake.
You Own A Ex-CT Bus? Nice!
@TheD40LF,XcelsiorAndDE60LFRGuy! yes I own Ex-Calgary Transit 7632 featured at 12:37 in this video
I thought it was a Fishbowl.
I think the majority (if not all) of the buses in this video are still in service. Maybe the odd D40LF may be retired.
Everything with a Series 50 engine was retired by May, 2020. The 1700 Arbocs are all long-gone too. Otherwise, yes.
I rode 8118 on the 21 Castleridge when I was there.
calgary is so damn clean beautiful city

Why is it that in America the buses have more then 1 side indercator but in England we have one?
Calgary is in Canada but we use American buses.
Man, I wanna become an Operator In Calgary Because 3 Reasons: 1: Amazing Downtown, 2: Amazing Bus Company And Buses, 3: Im Moving To Alberta Soon.
Ps the 901 is for a small satellite city north of calgary lots work and take the charter home southland is the local charter company Red Arrow is like Greyhound and one bus was a generic charter i think.
I still saw fishies and classics when i went there in 2012
Yeah. Unfortunately the fishies were retired by the end of 2013, and the classics followed suit barely a year later. The only Classics still running are the Spruce Meadows/Southland privately-owned coaches, which only come out at certain times of the year.
The original buses were double blue than when the c-train came they adopted white with purple and blue stripes but now CT is going with the citys official red colour with black on trains and buses.
Brentwood LRT station
Wow Calgary has a lot of bus agencies.
I mean, not many compared to places like Toronto, just CT, Airdrie ICE, and Spruce Meadows, plus the charter buses but they don’t really count do they
Actually in Toronto, there is 3 transit agencies government and 1 agency that is private. So I guess Calgary and Toronto have the same number of agencies. Perhaps you can say Vancouver has more than both Toronto and Calgary but not combined.
No Ctrains??😫 Great video!
The CTrains have their own videos.
Are there any classics or new looks??
Sadly, they have all been retired now. There are some Classics I filmed in 2018 and 2019 but they were operated by Red Arrow, and were ex. BC Transit units
@@Welwyn22 when were they retired specifically.
Calgary Transit's NewLooks were retired in 2013. The Classics followed in 2014. The Red Arrow NewLooks retired in 2017. Followed by the Classics and C40s in 2020 (last active in 2019).
would you prefer airdrie ice or calgary?
Ontario_transit, i know you were asking Welwyn22 But I Would Prefer Calgary Because Calgary Transit Has Great Buses, Nice Drivers, And More!
