  • If you are buying an RV or travel trailer, maybe these 10 things that I wish I knew would be helpful to you. No matter how educated a person might be there’s always a chance and strong possibility that they will learn something when they become RV and travel trailer owners. We had researched these units before buying one for years and while I knew, I still had a long way to go to be educated on it, I feel that I did not know as much as I thought I did. Don’t get me wrong every trip we take. I learn something new every time I’m tinkering with something I learn something new.

We've noticed how much better the pre 2020 campers were made. Our last camper was a 2016. It was a champ. We had minimal issues and few fails. Our 2022 has already had more repairs than our last two campers combined.

I 100% believe it. I blame the uptick in demand on lots of corners being cut by manufacturers. Regardless, there are plenty of 20-22 campers out there that aren’t worth nearly as much as they sold for.

@@CampsiteCruising That generation has deprecated the fastest. Ours is worth less than half now. I'm pretty handy though. By the time I'm done I'll probably start from the deck and rebuild the entire thing.

Great info and some great points to note, for sure. That's one reason I stay with tent camping, for now, till such time that it's no longer feasible. My camping right now is mostly solo motocamping, which keeps a very small footprint. Maybe some day I'll look into getting an off road camper and a Jeep to take me places really off the beaten path. Thanks for the heads up 😊

Thanks for watching it and commenting. I still like tent camping and went with one of my buddies this past weekend.

Always have a private inspector what you buying new or used and if the RV company will not allow you to have one shop somewhere else because the person that does the last inspection before you pick it up is the person with the least amount of training

I'm trying to save to buy an older camper, not only because they were built tougher but also because the way things are going there is no way I'll be able to afford rent so I'll need somewhere to live.

I love older campers and think I would enjoy redoing one. I hope you find one that you like and can fix up how you want. I hate hearing that you’re considering it because of the cost of rent, but in today’s world I understand also. Best of luck with it! I’m sure you’ll find what you want and need.

Sorry, made it to 1:15, wanted to watch but found the music overbearing!

@@CampsiteCruising I found the volume too distracting for what you were trying to say. Just my personal opinion, I would prefer NO music during an informative type vid, perhaps just an intro & conclusion track. Dont read too much into it, you have to ultimatly do what makes YOU happy. Good luck...

@@garrypayne9892 thank you so much for the feedback. I agree with you on the volume and went and changed the sound and volume yesterday. I’m always trying to figure things out and haven’t really found a consistent flow yet. I really do appreciate your feedback because it is helpful to me to work on improving things. Have a great weekend
